***Official September 2021 Thread***

Just booked our first trip to WDW in 20 years for me! (I've done Paris and California within the last 5 years but there's nothing like WDW.) Taking our 3 year old, 1 year old, and husband and staying at Pop, or maybe off-property if grandparents decide to tag along, September 25-30. Just looking at things has me feeling the magic. I can't wait!
So excited for you!

Moving around our park days and it's still super easy as everything is open except MK on the 1st! Also decided to make tons of dining reservations for this trip which we normally don't do; we usually make a couple beforehand and then make others last minute. However out of all our post-COVID trips our trip 2 weeks ago was the most difficult to get and change dining so 2 TS a day it will be!

I bought my plane ticket yesterday (June 24). I've been checking the prices since March. Started at $254 then it hovered around $220/$240 for most of May. The highest it got was $285. On Tuesday June 22 the round trip price was $196. On Wednesday it was $201 so I jumped on it. Just a few minutes ago it was $220.

Once I get my plane ticket it really feels official. I'm going to The World!

We're flying SW and I was able to take advantage of their 50% off sale a few weeks ago to lower our fares. I do find myself hanging around the boards more as we get closer. They keep pushing back the opening of the Swan Reserve, now it's Sept 16 (we arrive on the 26th) which makes me a bit unsettled.

We are booked. Flying in from Las Vegas on 9/22 staying off site at the Holiday Inn Disney Springs unless we find something better (I keep checking). It's my first time staying off site. My BF has only been to Epcot so it will be a his first full trip to the World. We have tickets to the Boo Bash 9/24 also. It's been a few years since I have been and with all the changes I am a big rusty. Anyway looking forward to finding out what's new and all on here. We fly back on 9/27.

We're going the 2nd-6th and staying at the Swan. We haven't been back since 2015 so really excited to return. Starting at MK on the 3rd, doing 2 days of Hollywood Studios with some Epcot thrown in, and finishing at AK on the day we fly out in the evening. Excited to be able to walk to HS and Epcot.

Is everybody getting excited? 🤩

Our 60 day dining window opens in a couple days. I think we’ve settled on parks. Since we’re 6 days will do two days each for MK, AK & HS. Then just hop to EP 3 nights since it opens late anyway and is easy access from BW. Maybe we’ll watch Epcot Forever 3 times 😄 unless HS starts fireworks again.

We're booked 8/28-9/5 at Pop Century.

How are we feeling about crowd levels that first week of September before Labor day?

Yeah🍾 I got all ADRs we wanted this morning including Ohanas and Beach Club....youd think I know better but I was trying 2 days early to get ADRs and couldn’t believe I couldn’t get anything we wanted this morning at 6:00 am it was all waiting for me😊

Shouldn't be too bad until Friday and Saturday. But it's so difficult to estimate - will more people be there because of last year, or fewer because of waiting for the 50th...

Looks good for lower crowds. DVC still had good availability late August into Sept when the months before & after had already filled. Free Food used to be offered to help lure people in that slower time but not this year. Plus back school is a big deal this year, less families willing to travel right before or after their school starts.

I don’t know for sure but seems like a good bet 😆 The 50th too… I can see people moving trips to after Oct 1st since WDW is holding back a lot of stuff.

It’s funny. Sept used to be slow but really started picking up 2016,17, 18. Then 2019 it surprisingly quieted down when StarWars Land opened, probably some combo of regular Sept visitors scared by thought of opening crowds, and the greatly expanded daily EMHs spreading out the little crowds that did come. 2020 was again another quiet Sept shortly after reopening. Will 2021 be the third quiet Sept in a row?

I was able to get almost all of my ADRs this morning but the website is super glitchy. I had to enter my already saved credit card information multiple times. And then it magically was saved. Have it handy just in case! Good luck!
