***Official September 2021 Thread***

I was able to get almost all of my ADRs this morning but the website is super glitchy. I had to enter my already saved credit card information multiple times. And then it magically was saved. Have it handy just in case! Good luck!

What time does it open? 6am, right? I’m trying to get Homecomin brunch and my window opens on Monday.

Yes! 6am ET I tried about 15 min early but was getting an error that I didn’t have a reservation. The error cleared at 6am when the window officially opened.

We go every September. Tentatively looking at 9/4 - 9/10 off site and then 9/10 - 9/19 at BC

Hey DisneyFanJenn!
I’m torn between September as I’ve heard that it’s gotten much more packed than the “secret month” used to be. You say you’ve been going in September? What has been your most recent experience like — just before Covid?

I’ve heard the hurricanes aren’t anything to stress about? But I’d the whole week and day gloomy and rainy?

I’m torn between Late August 2022 or Mid September 2022 just after Labor Day for 2-weeks!

I go every September - the Tuesday after Labor Day.

It's typically not very crowded. For those long-time Disney goers I guess it's more crowded than it was on the '90's and early 2000's, but I don't have anything to compare to.

I experienced being in The World during hurricane Irma which closed Disney to close for a couple of days. It was intense but the CM's treated us so well and I felt safe the whole time. And for this native of CA I actually enjoyed experiencing a hurricane in WDW.

In 2019 MCO was threatening to close so I moved my flight up a day so I could get into The World the Sunday before Labor Day and not miss my trip. I figured I could handle another hurricane easily. It never hit The World. The next two days after Dorian passed the weather was crazy hot without a cloud in the sky. I found I prefer gloomy and rainy in September to blazing sun with no clouds.

This year I'm going Sept 20 for ten days. Only because I have an Annual Pass and plan on my usual day after Labor Day trip in 2022.

I don't think there will really be much difference between late August and mid September.

Looks good for lower crowds. DVC still had good availability late August into Sept when the months before & after had already filled. Free Food used to be offered to help lure people in that slower time but not this year. Plus back school is a big deal this year, less families willing to travel right before or after their school starts.

I don’t know for sure but seems like a good bet 😆 The 50th too… I can see people moving trips to after Oct 1st since WDW is holding back a lot of stuff.

It’s funny. Sept used to be slow but really started picking up 2016,17, 18. Then 2019 it surprisingly quieted down when StarWars Land opened, probably some combo of regular Sept visitors scared by thought of opening crowds, and the greatly expanded daily EMHs spreading out the little crowds that did come. 2020 was again another quiet Sept shortly after reopening. Will 2021 be the third quiet Sept in a row?

Sept 2019 also had a few hurricane issues which made quite a few change travel plans...

Yeah. That weather along with a mix of things. I think a lot of people were scared off thinking Galaxy Edge opening would make Sept ‘19 crazy busy. Then WDW had daily EMH, 3 hrs everyday at HS (6-9a) and 1 hr everyday at both AK and MK. That made a huuuge difference to spread out crowds too.

Leading up to Sept ‘19 posts were all about how insane WDW would be. Turned out to be one of the least crowded feeling months in recent history 😆

Yes I was there and we couldn’t believe how empty it was at 6:00 am....and had the Oasis pool at Poly all to our selves most of the day.

We had a Dec ‘19 trip booked and then Sept came and we were *face palm*, we booked the wrong month 🤣

Just to twist the knife a little more...parks were nearly empty the days just before and after the expected hurricane that ended up by passing WDW completely! We went to a MNSSHP that was fabulous with lowest crowd ever.

Great timing!
Last Sept looked quiet as well. Hoping this year makes the 3rd slow Sept in a row 👍 😁

September 5-8 for me! Three adults staying at the Contemporary! Super excited! This will be my first time not going in June.

We're going September 12 -18 and staying at Art of Animation.

Today was ADR day and it was a great success. We've got Olga's, Topolino's Terrace, Ohana, Tiffins, Be Our Guest, and Garden Grill. I couldn't be happier and am excited to try some places I've never been before!

Am I ok to sneak in here? We're doing a split stay for the 50th with the first part being CR CL on 9/30 - 10/3. ADR day is sneaking up on us and I'm mildly terrified trying to land any for that weekend.

We're inside the 60day window for our biggest trip ever.

9/17 - 10/4.

Split stay between Boardwalk and Poly.

The best part about Disney is even though we're going for that long, when I look at my schedule I'm still thinking about all the things we won't be able to do. It's a great problem though to have though. We've been looking forward to this big of a trip for years.

Hey September Folks! We are loyal Labor Day Disney vacation people. 9 days at WDW & only 4 days off work!

We will be at Kidani from 9/4 to 9/6 and then the Polynesian from 9/6 to 9/12. We just moved from Washington D.C. to Florida last month. So as new Floridians this will be our first time DRIVING to WDW from our home for a trip. Feels so weird. BUT I am very excited that now I can buy as much merch as I want since I don't have to worry about overweight or extra baggage! (Not sure my fiancé is happy about the increase in spending this will likely result in but oh well!)
