Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

It was a very crappy situation, all the way around. My ex and I had a shot-gun wedding, so to speak. After we got married, I moved into her house until my ex and I could get on our feet with a brand new baby.

While I was at work one day, she took it upon herself to "move" and "remove" items she didn't feel were necessary. 13 years later, I am still kind of bitter....

Well I hope things have improved in your life since that time. :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It's crazy how fast time flies! Christmas will be here before I know it!
In the meantime-I am looking for one more TS meal while we are at WDW. We are looking for somewhere DTD or in a resort. Suggestions? Thanks

BTW-its just mom and myself-2 adults on DDP.

Can you tell us what you currently have selected?

We booked our bb for September 20 to September 29 at WL. I cannot wait to go back "home"

Welcome! We love Wilderness Lodge although we haven't been in quite a few trips,it's still one of our favorites. I added you to our list on page one.

We are thinking:
LTT, Plaza and Crystal Palace
Mama Melrose
Raglan Road
Norway-dinner
Garden Grill
Teppan Edo-dinner
Chef Mickeys-breakfast
Surf Club
Tusker House-lunch
Cape May-dinner
T-Rex--OOP

We were thinking Ohana for dinner but then I read a bunch of bad reviews so now we aren't sure.
Thanks for any input!

I would recommend Raglan Road for sure, it is one of our favorites on property. The food was yummy and experience was fun. If you like scallops, you must try theirs. ;)

I have also read many unhappy reviews of Ohana, so I decided to go to Kona Cafe instead. Since it is at the Poly, we still got the Poly ambiance and had a FANTASTIC meal too.

I haven't done Teppan Edo lately, but I love Tokyo Dining.

Make sure to look at menus from several sources to get ideas. Some websites update more frequently than others.

Count me in for Sept 2012! We'll be there from Sept 22nd till the 29th. Right now I'm booked for AoA resort, but with either free dining or a PIN code, we will most likely be switching to Poly.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking about ADR's. I've been obsessing about them but can't finalize anything till we figure out where exactly we're staying.

Here's a rough draft of what I'd like:

Plan 1 (AK on Sunday)
DTD -- 1900 Park Fare for dinner
AK -- Captain’s Grille OR Kona for dinner
MK -- Crystal Palace for dinner
DHS -- Chef Mickey’s for dinner ** This is for Sean’s birthday **
EP & DHS -- Akershus for breakfast ** This is Alyssa’s birthday celebration **
EP -- San Angel Inn for dinner
MK -- ‘Ohana for breakfast

Plan 2 (EPCOT on Sunday)
DTD -- 1900 Park Fare for dinner
EP -- San Angel Inn for dinner
MK -- Crystal Palace for dinner
DHS -- Chef Mickey’s for dinner ** This is for Sean’s birthday **
AK -- Captain’s Grille OR Kona for dinner
EP & DHS -- Akershus for breakfast ** This is Alyssa’s birthday celebration **
MK -- ‘Ohana for breakfast

We just booked our trip for Oct-Nov, so I can be removed from this thread. I hope you guys have a fantastic time in September. I will miss those of you who were in the September 2011 thread. :goodvibes

Hello hello fellow Sept vacationers! I am planning a family of 5 trip for Sept 22-27, two rooms at POP, and (hopefully) free QS dining.

So, this will be our third trip. Last one was Oct '09, and we stayed at POR for both previous trips. This will be our first Value resort, and QS dining. My parents are on the fence about wheather or not they are going. But my kids will be 15, 13, and 9 when we go, so the additional bathroom, tv, and a dbl bed for each of them is really appealing to me. I don't have a lot of concerns about staying at POP, but I am concerned with the QS dining. The lure for us is not having a time limit on what we are doing. We can kind of eat when we want to. My kids aren't really into the character meals, but I do want to have Crystal Palace for breakfast, paying OOP of course. I'm afraid we will get tired of the same food for QS meals, so I am seeking places that serve things other than burgers and chicken nuggets. BUT, I'm really afraid our 9 yo will be completely sick of eating the same few choices he will have. It's kind of stressing me out! HELP!!

Can't wait for Sept '12! The time will just FLY by...I know this year has!:yay:

How about upgrading your 9yo to a Disney adult? That way he can eat the same food as the rest of you?

We did QS in 2009 and paid for Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace OOP, but this trip we will either upgrade to the 1TS/1QS plan or just get it with the deluxe resort option. We love character meals, so it's worth it for us.

We loved the ease of going to wherever we wanted to go whenever we wanted to go and really didn't get bored of the choices. There's a lot to choose from....the cantina in Mexico, ribs and chicken at Cosmic Ray's, a burger at Pecos Bill's, ect. Honestly, we got bored of Mickey waffles and the same buffet choices for breakfast from the TS restaurants. ;) This time we are switching it up a bit and going for dinner at different places.

Welcome! We love Akershus. It's so relaxed. My kids love the breakfast buffet. I will add you to the list on page one.

Welcome! I know what you mean about the kids meals. My kids always want to know why adults get better chicken nuggets that kids when they eat more of them. We have ordered adult meals for our kids to change it up a bit and I eat the kids meal and take me fr the team. Lol. I will add you to the list on page one and welcome!

Thanks! I've heard great things about Akershus. My daughter will be 10, so we are celebrating her birthday. I'm sure it'll be the last time she'll be big into princesses. :(

Anyone that has done Akershus and CRT.... can you give me a bit of advice?

My friend that I am hoping will join me next Sept, is a big fan of Jasmine and I wanted to do a character meal that she may be at. I have read that she could possibly at either meal... has anyone had any luck with these, which would be the more likely to see her at.... my friend only wants to do one princess meal so cant do both.

We have seen Jasmine twice at CRT but the four times we have been to Akershus, we have never seen Jasmine. For us, it has been the same all four times.... Cinderella, snow white, Ariel, and sleeping beauty. Friends of ours just went to both in November and Jasmine was at CRT only when they went.

We did Akershus when we went this past September and she was NOT there. We have done CRT a few years back and she was there. :)

We just got back from the world from our late September trip and I am currently planning our September 2012 trip. You can never plan too far in advance right? Would love to plan with some others thinking of going or definitely going to the world in September 2012.

We are also going 9/25 - 10/2 made our reservation for BCV last week. Can not wait. We also were there that same time this year. The F&W Festival was fantastic. We even upgraded our park tickets to annual passes.
