Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

I do ned a support group. Men can be so stinky sometimes

I truly can't wait to see my girls faces when they meet the princesses, see the castle and see all the little things I have planned for them.

My Dh has me so upset, I just want to cry..

Chin up cantwait! We understand how you feel and all of us want to make every trip special. My DH is not a fan and though he enjoyed his one trip with us, he supports us going without him each year. Not a practical option when the kids are little, but works when the princesses are bigger.

For now, plan your sweet heart out with us and keep anticipating the look on your little girl's faces. Trust me, you may not be able to see clearly through your own happy tears, so take lots of pics!

Thanks.. and when they are older I would love to take them without him and make it a girls only trip.

We are at CBR.. Here is how I look at it. We take this trip once every 3 years. 3 years from now my DD will be a Disney Adult, and my girls will be over the princess stage. They are the best disney age right now. Why and I a bad mom for trying to learn all I can to make this the best trip ever. And to make the most of our money, cuz Disney is NOT cheap.

(disclaimer.. I have gone ALONE to run the half marthon the past 2 years, but a bunch of us women share a room/ split the cost, so I don't think that counts)

I sometimes feel the same way. No one in my family understands my Disney obsession! My DH gives me grief about it all the time but deep down he is ok with it. The other day I was going over my list of things to do and there is a lot left to finish up. He said something about putting so much on myself to get done with all the shirts and decorations and letters etc but then he caught himself and said that he was sorry and that he shouldn't be raining on my parade and ruining my fun! I think he is finally getting it!!!! I do it all for the kids and yes for he and I to enjoy with the kiddos.
You are in good company here on the boards. Don't let anyone make you upset because you want the best vacation for your girls!

That is what he said to me about putting pressure on myself. But he did not come back and say sorry. He still thinks you don't need ADRS for meal. I know silly man right. I have made our Ty Dye and he said he will wear it! I even made them for DD's teddys :goodvibes. I am pretty much set with thoese things. I just keep checking and re checking my plan.

I know I can't see it all but at the same time I don't want to miss anything..

Does anyone have any anti disney meds?? :rotfl:

Totally understand this. I only get a little more than a week holiday and by planning and making stuff, I can make the whole experience last longer.

I think you can get a prescription from Dr. Suess.

I'm lucky that I'm able to be a stay at home mom and get to do stuff like this during the day with the kids. It makes my 4 year old DD feel like she is part of the planning. Last year when we went it was a suprise for the kids and I had to do everything when they napped or at night. I enjoyed doing the stuff but this time it's more fun with her help. My DS is only 2 so he doesn't fully get it yet but he gets happy when he sees Mickey on a shirt for him! The only thing they don't know about is we are having breakfast at the Castle one morning. I had an invitation made up by one of the DISiners and will leave it out for her to get that morning.
I have almost as much fun planning and making stuff for the trip as the vacation itself!

Just had to cancel our keys to the kingdom tour. No one wanted to do it but me. :(. Oh well now we have $ for MNSSHP!!!! Now to figure out a costume.

I need something crafty and easy and CHEAP to keep me going for 6weeks till.our trip! I really don't want to make tshirts; we're going with my ILs and I don't think they'd wear them. A countdown calendar would just stress out my 3yo -- she gets very confused about time passing -- today, tomorrow, tonight all mix her up and counting days with her would be an exercise in frustration for me. And we're staying offsite so no decorations needed. :( Any other ideas for passing the time besides stalking the DIS? :D

Autograph book.. I made mine out of scrapbook paper and stickers

Can't believe that by the time you guys who are just into the 30's are getting there, I'll be going home already. There is something just not right about thinking that...:rotfl2::rotfl:

We really enjoyed the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Totally worth the money!! Maybe next time!

I'm just getting ready for this trip Sept 11th-18th at BLT and last night the WHOLE family is kicking around the idea for a June 2013 trip. That would be me and mine plus my 3 brothers and their families! Will probably be in the value resorts for that trip but that's fine with me.

We are at 42 days! :) This will be our longest visit and we've got lots of down time planned. Also, first time with water parks and more. We're thinking that we could head to the water parks in the am some days then go for a theme park after a mid-day break. Do you think that would work out ok?

Disclaimer.... these pictures were drawn for last years trip, and at that time was not posting them online so some features were not dark enough to scan properly.
