Tuvalu is actually very close to the GCH (we've stayed there twice). You just have to walk past Fiji and around the marina (2 minutes). Did you mean to say far from the TTC? It is the farthest to the TTC from that end of the resort, but only about 10 minutes, although that wouldn't be super convenient if there a lot of people in the group with wheelchairs.

Well , I think its relative. I do not find anywhere to be a long walk to the GCH. But some would find the walk around the marina a bit long, especially if they had mobility issues. I have never counted the steps but there are many houses closer then they are. (And quiet a few farther away!). I have heard people complain thats its a far walk to GCH. We almost always stay at the houses on that side of the marina. It is a VERY far walk for mobility challenged to the TTC!
I suppose its relative. If your walking /moving miles in the parks all day all these distances are really minimal.

We loved Tuvalu when we were there and didn't find the walk to GCH long at all and DD was only (brand new) 3 at the time.

It would be my choice again if we ever stay non-CL.

We were suppose to be arriving in 10 days for our first ever long anticipated Poly stay but switched and I agree people who have trips planned need to know what is going on beforehand.

SO true. It is obvious that I am not happy with the construction, but I feel bad for the people who don't know and are walking into this blind. If you know and choose to go that's great, but to be unaware would be such a shock.

It's the same as the old one. It's not new, just redesigned.

I am doing my best to read back through the pages to get accurate information. When will the main pool be closed and do we have 100% confirmation of this? I am a Disney travel agent and we have been told nothing. I have a client scheduled to stay TPV club level in April and I am starting to think I should have them switch to a different resort if their view will be obstructed and the main pool will be closed. If someone could link me to concrete information about the pool closure for next year, I would greatly appreciate it.

ETA: will TPV club level be an obstructed view? I thought I read that a few places in this thread. Why are they even allowing these rooms to be booked?
