looks like CC is in the same space, just with new decor, or am i wrong on that?
Glad you are enjoying your stay! We will be there in ten days and I can't wait!!! Now that Kona Island is closed is there anywhere that I can grab a cup of real coffee?

Checked in to the Poly yesterday morning
Happy to try to answer any questions if I can..
We are truly enjoying it here the staff have gone way above & beyond to ensure our comfort & enjoyment of the Resort.
This morning we are at the quiet pool before heading to EPCOT this afternoon. There is most certainly construction noise, but it is def not obnoxious. You can tell there is allot going on at the Nanea (sp?) pool & can hear muffled indoor construction noises from Tokelau.
Having said that... we came back from AK yesterday at about 4:30pm and all was quiet & peaceful - it remained that way until this morning.
We have a full view of the Grand Floridian and the lagoon/beach from our 3rd floor room on Aotearoa - we were able to watch Wishes from our balcony last evening![]()
We are here on that "August Special" from the TA not to be mentioned here...
Lagoon View, great building steps to GCH, not lacking for anything so far... $212 a night all taxes in -- we have no complaints!![]()
Thanks for the update!!! Are you planning to take advantage of BB? How does that work? Also, how is the pool closure affecting access to the beach and boat launch areas? We are considering changing to Poly in Dec 2014 (so far away) for a couple of nights. TIA!!
The boat launch is still fully accessable. There is a section of beach cordoned off directly adjacent to the feature Pool, but there is still beach access in front of Hawaii, with chairs, swings & the fire pit. They showed the movie there last evening.
Thanks for all the info. Can I just ask if you can still see the castle when sitting on the beach in front of Hawaii? In some pictures I saw, it looked like the bungalows completely blocked the view, but I couldn't be sure. One of our favorite things to do at the Poly is sit on the beach to watch fireworks at night, and it wouldn't be the same without that castle view.
Just passed thru the rear lobby.. looks like the Pineapple Lanai is ready to open. Could be as soon as tomorrow
Will post pics soon... my photobucket for iPhone is not cooperating right now... I sent them to Steve (Tikiman) on FB & he has shared them.
I haven't been over to the beach at Hawaii yet![]()
We've been using the other beach near the GF just outside our room.
We've come back from MK a few times on the Launch & walked up the Dock - we were able to see it from there...
There are tables around the marina area that people have been sitting at this week with a drink or coffee that provide a dead on view of Wishes - perfect. Right in front of Tonga.
