Just read on Tikiman's Facebook page (great source for Poly info) - 'Ohana will be back open in July along with the other resort renovations.

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to eat here, keep eyes open for an announced opening date. I will too and let you know.

Just some musings....

Our original May 2020 trip was obviously cancelled, so we moved to May 2021. Then earlier this year we decided just to wait to October due to everything going on.

So we would have been there part of last week and until Friday this week.

Soooo....we would have been dealing with 90 plus temps and humidity with masks. Cheer groups at our hotel. Pools closing to capacity at our hotel. And I got my period today.

Obviously there's a chance I can be dealing with all that last week of October, but let's hope for better luck!

I don't know what to do about my son's park reservations. He doesn't have the money at the moment for the passes, and I have a hard stop on buying the passes for my kids anymore. They're all adults. He's going to be very upset if he can't get into the parks.

ETA: I do have some employee Universal passes he can use. I suppose, worst case he'll end up riding Velocicoaster and Hulk over and over and over. That more than works.

I sure hope by October capacity limits are back to normal and this shouldn't even be an issue anymore! Outside of maybe Christmas/New Years, parks are never at capacity during normal times.

I hope so too.
I don't want crowds, but after the last year I think I might look forward to them as long as Fastpasses are back. Standing in 90 minute long lines is hard.

Going to add as a positive, most of you have probably read the news headlines by now, but the College Program is coming back on line starting with the June group!

This means more disney cast members on hand, and I'm hoping more open dining and entertainment locations starting this summer!

Yes, you are right, you would have been wearing masks in 90 degree heat like we are this week. It is really hot. We are really looking forward to the weather the last week of October.

I went into a panic when the cost went up $24 on Saturday (27th). But is was back down today. So don't book on a Saturday?

I'm going to gamble a little longer. See what happens. It was $72 higher at the end of March.

Today (May 5) I checked in the morning. The round trip flight (LAX/MCO) went up $28 from April 30. I checked 8 hours later and it was $16 lower than April 30.

Which airline are you looking at?
I've seen that waiting to book airfare on Sunday - Wednesday tends to be lower, regardless of what day of week your flight is. Booking on weekends tend to be higher, starting on Thursdays, dropping again Sunday.

The flight I want to book still has no one on board other than the flight crew. Kind of has Twilight zone vibes going on.
