this makes me sad for you trip, however so excited because I live in NJ and I usually go to see 3 or 4 shows a year and I have been really missing them... so knowing they are coming back soon makes my heart happy!!

But it’s not a party- it’s a DAH event- so they should charge more than the parties.. 2 completely different events.. I think that is where it is getting lost in translation

You're right - but when they mention treats (trick or treating) and allude to the halloween theme it becomes a party in most people's minds, and Disney knows this.

September 29- October 2 at the Contemporary! It's happening!!! (We will be extending our trip with a split stay at a more affordable resort, but haven't decided on dates/resort yet).

I had really hoped to be there for the 50th- but have already started making plans for a spectacular at-home bash for Oct 1 instead. Which is defs not the same but I need SOMETHING to plan for! Oh man... been there done that.. TWICE since covid... we had an amazing Disney bash at home! Get a YouTube playlist going, make some Mickey waffles, dole whip, get some balloons, and dress is your best!! So sorry you won’t be joining us.. but so glad you will be there in spirit!!

I tried to get Sept 28 to Oct 5 so I could be there for the 50th. But nothing in Value. I just don't like the 2 Moderate's available. So...

I completely agree. Most people were hoping MNSSHP was coming back, but instead they give us this After Hours thing that is much less appealing.

After today’s new CDC guidelines, I feel pretty bullish on the mask requirement being gone by our October trips, if numbers keep trending downward. I think it’s also a good sign for the return of nighttime entertainment, characters, and shows.

Worst case: we see entertainment but don't get on rides as I won't wait in a 90 minute or longer line. That's fine as I go often enough those rides are imprinted on my memories (I still love them though) and my kids are adults now. The key is, we need all the entertainment back to keep everyone happy. Fireworks are a must for that to happen.

If most ride lines are under 45 minutes, we are good with that. It's the "big" rides I'm worried about.

I can't imagine there won't be something in place by October if they are back to full capacity soon. Some new fast pass, who knows, but something.

Otherwise it's back to good old rope drop I suppose!
