***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

happy father's day to all pirate:pirate:

i know that weather is a fickle element in all vacations and i don't expect anybody to be able to correctly forecast the middle of Oct weather (specially in the middle of June), but i am curious as to what the average high and low for the week of
Oct18 - 26. Everything i have read says high's of 85; is that correct. Just trying to figure out if I need a shopping trip to find some cute tank's.:rolleyes1
yes, or just short sleeve shirts. it will be in both, 85 and humid is still freakin' hot even for locals....

We managed to book all of our ressies a couple days ago and not only did we get everything we wanted we also got the times we wanted. Now all that is left is the waiting part which is about to kill my two girls.

:scared1: How do you not love Pooh??? :scared1:

My SIL doesn't love bears of any kind so we make sure to torture her by buying all sorts of bear related items any time she has a child. First time she had twins so we had a good time there! Now it's just one, but it'll be fun anyway! :rotfl:

Not to be a you-know-what, but if anyone tried to push Pooh on a child of mine, I'd either reject the gift or accept it and donate it immediately. I'm anti-Pooh as well!

On the other hand - I'm heading to the World on 10/11 through 10/15 with my mom! It's her first time back in almost 20 years - very excited! We're booked at Pop right now, but if a deal comes out I'm going to move to either POR or POFQ, I think. Or CBR. I still can't decide. :)

it's time for the question of the day: Just got off the phone with DH and he is concerned about making our 4:05 ADR to CRT. Here is our plan:

We arrive at MCO at 1:30 and have planned to take ME to CBR check in and head over to MK for dinner and MNSSHP. Jeff is concerned that we won't have time to get to the park to make our ADR.

Do you think it is possible or should i look into a cab (if we take a cab, we will have to wait for luggage and bring car seats)? Also any idea how much a cab would be.

Thoughts please

You are going to be cutting it reeeeeeeally close there by relying on Disney transportation. I think you are better off taking a cab, but be forewarned, that cab right isn't cheap. You are looking at at least $80, just from the airport.

Double digits finally!!! :cheer2: 99 days until we are at the Grand Floridian for 8 days!

Personally, I would not risk it. CRT requires a credit card and a 48 hour cancellation. What if your plane is delayed? Or your luggage is lost & you have to fill out a report? Or your kid needs another potty run or got airsick, or there's an accident en route to the resort, or the other thousands of issues that can arise that have nothing to do with Disney transportation and cannot be cured by a cab?

If you insist on this reservation, then a cab or car service is the only way to make it. Remember that you then have to get from check-in at CBR to your room unless you leave your bags with bell services - I believe that there is quite a distance between Port Royale and the rooms. (And what if there's a line at check-in, which happens even if you do on-line?) Then you have to get on Disney transportation to MK, through bag check and up to the Castle. All after spending a fortune on the cab ride.

If it were an ADR that had no penalty for no-show, I might answer differently, although the last thing I'd want on the first night of a vacation would be that kind of stress. But unless you want to risk a $25/pp no-show penalty, cancel CRT.

Called yesterday and had a PIN attached to my name. We were able to apply it and saved at least $600 for a 5 night stay starting Oct. 7th. Just thought I would get the word out.

thanks for the input after much thought we have decided to keep trying for a later ressie for CRT but in the mean time I have made a ressie for Tony's.
