***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

OK...now having read through all the posts (sorry...again!), I have some responses.

Yes, exwdwcm....I would love to be on the FB page if it's still going. I will PM you in a little bit!

Cee - my DD did the Tea with Alice in 2007 and she loved it!!! She was just shy of 8 at the time. I was sorry I couldn't go in with her, but she enjoyed being by herself.

jsgrand0 - congrats on the flying prices!!! I was able to save some $$ on the Southwest sale. I wasn't going to check and then thought, the heck with it....I checked and, sure enough, saved $150! I also ended up saving an addition $105 last week just checking prices. I love Southwest!!!!

I know I'm three months late, but congrats on baby boy Ben, PookieB.

taramox - I am so sorry for the personal problems. Hope all is going well and that you're having fun planning and packing.

PennyLane - we will also be enjoying Illuminations on the 21st!!!! Perhaps we can look for each other? We will also be in AK on the 24th. Great minds think alike!!! lol

OK....figured I would add my plans on here since I was unable to post when I actually made my dining reservations. I was able to get all our reservations for when I wanted them!!!!:woohoo:

only plan is Crystal Palace for breakfast at 8:05am

Thurs 10/27
only plan is dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh at 6pm

Fri 10/28
Whatever park(s) the kids want to go on. We've done the four parks in one day before, but that was without a toddler. We'll see

Sat 10/29
go home :(

I plan pretty loosely because I never know how anyone is going to feel. The boys and I get heat stroke pretty easily, so we rest a lot and drink frequently. Plus, we do rides repeatedly as well (DD, DS and I rode EE 3x in a row last trip!)...so we don't go commando. Plus, my DH suffers from anxiety, so I don't know if we're going to have to take him back to the resort at some point.

it's time for the question of the day: Just got off the phone with DH and he is concerned about making our 4:05 ADR to CRT. Here is our plan:

We arrive at MCO at 1:30 and have planned to take ME to CBR check in and head over to MK for dinner and MNSSHP. Jeff is concerned that we won't have time to get to the park to make our ADR.

Do you think it is possible or should i look into a cab (if we take a cab, we will have to wait for luggage and bring car seats)? Also any idea how much a cab would be.

Thoughts please

I am also in the inclination to say you have a lot on the plate for travel day especially arriving in mid day...I always give myself and hour from landing to DME and then 45 minutes from DME to resort...DME is a wonderful service and we have never had an issue w/ them.

I generally try not to plan much on day 1) or things that are time sensistive that can be affected by what the PP said...

one idea is to take DME to your resort and then cab it from there to MK to give you a little more time.

thanks for the input after much thought we have decided to keep trying for a later ressie for CRT but in the mean time I have made a ressie for Tony's.

that sounds like a good call...but maybe drop the ADR for arrival day all together and just grab some QS from your resort before heading to MK for the party...I'm not sure the ages of your kids...but you should consider pacing yourself for arrival day and decide what is most important to you/family for this day...a nice meal or MNSSHP...the party officially starts at 7 pm till 12 am...that = a long day w/ travel and rushing from MCO to resort to park...kwim?

you had asked too if you really need 2 AK days and 1 MK day or the other way around...I'd go for the other way 1 AK day and 2 MK days...consider the party day for party stuff and bonus but plan another MK day too....

hope that helps!

Happy dancing tonight because the kiddos went on their first log ride tonight and they lived to tell about it!:lmao: Looks like we will be riding Splash Mountain this trip as they are both finally tall enough and now know what to expect! My daughter even wanted to ride a second time and she was the one I was the most worried about because my son loves coasters. Woohoo!

After that ride, we attempted the Scrambler. Oddly enough, she loved it, and I hated it. I think she laughed more because I was freaking out the whole time, but my son didn't like it either so looks like her and DH have a new ride to enjoy together. I am officially too old for the Scrambler (at only 34!):sad2:

Anywho...it was a fun night at King's Island and sooo excited to ride SM with them. Is it October yet??? :lmao:

As you can see below, I finally figured out the mechanics of posting pics in my signature. These are my fam, my babies, and the last one is me (at a football clinic--thus the reason for the eyeblack!) Gooooooo Dayton Flyers!!!:cheer2:

Not to be a you-know-what, but if anyone tried to push Pooh on a child of mine, I'd either reject the gift or accept it and donate it immediately. I'm anti-Pooh as well!

On the other hand - I'm heading to the World on 10/11 through 10/15 with my mom! It's her first time back in almost 20 years - very excited! We're booked at Pop right now, but if a deal comes out I'm going to move to either POR or POFQ, I think. Or CBR. I still can't decide. :)

I like Pooh Bear, my sister doesn't, but she's letting me take my neice to the new pooh movie this Friday, so she can decide for herself if she likes him or not. I think Pooh bear is cute, my sister think he's stupid I guess? I would go into more detail, but her opinion might come off a little offensive to some, although I know she doesn't mean it entirely that way. :sad2:

Your family is so beautiful!!! I know exactly what you mean about the scrambler. I took my best friend's daughter on one when our carnival was in town.....needless to say, I looked horrible and felt worse when I got off it. And to think, that was my favorite ride as a kid! LOL I can't do rides like that anymore, they give me headaches. Which is why I love Disney so much!!!!

Still waiting on October codes to be released, but until October I am pretty busy. I've got a U2 concert tonight (I broke down and bought tickets yesterday afternoon), Harry Potter tomorrow night, and DS10's baseball camp next week.....and then we're practically in August with a whole other list of things to do. I'm glad I'm keeping busy...it takes my mind off my Disney addiction.

Hey, at least you're involved - so many times, parents are left to raise kids on their own and it's sad. I've always thought family should spend as much time with family as they can - before I moved away, I LOVED taking my nephews and niece out with me, or to the zoo, or to Six Flags...

So you go take that niece to see Pooh! I don't like Pooh, but a movie with my niece would be nice right now!

Thanks!!! We've always tried to do that because the kids can choose which parks and rides they want to revisit. To be honest, we may stop at DHS to ride TOT and RNR (and maybe the new Star Tours), but for the most part, we'll spend the last three days at MK and EPCOT. Our entire family loves EPCOT and we tend to spend the most time there.....and especially during the F&W Festival! :)

Your family is so beautiful!!!

that is sweet of you to say. Thank you!

Our rest of summer plans include getting the most out of our King's Island passes and gearing up for the start of the school year. Taking the kids to the library today to start their summer reading program. Yes...I said "start". LOL! We're a little behind this year, but they have just enough time to finish if we start today. Better late than never, right?:rotfl:

Would that be a Buckeye's jersey you are wearing? My husband is a die hard OSU fan. So if in October you find yourself being trailed by a salivating man screaming O-H!, never fear, it's just my hubby, LOL.

Yeah, I'm one of those annoying resort changer people.

My husband threw me for a total loop last night and announced that he put in a leave request and wanted to come to Disney with us. Knowing that he would hate the Pop Century with the fiery passion on 1000 he-double hockey sticks, I called this morning and switched us to the POR. I requested a refurbished room with the queen beds, I hope we get it!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'' be at AKL - Kidani on Oct 8 and then at Beach Club from the 9th to the 16th!

You must have not seen my post in the "Things I hate about my state" thread! It is not a tOSU jersey, it is a University of Dayton jersey. Whenever someone yells O-H, my hubby is quick to yell N-O! ;):rotfl:

Sure this isn't the first time you've heard this, but I have to say, your kids are beautiful. Enjoy your trip! We are going Oct 1-8 for my DH and DD9 and DS6 first visit! While my DD9 is fearless and wants to ride all the "scariest" rides, my DS6 is a little more...um...conservative?

 I can't take any credit for the way the kids turned out. That was all God's doing.:rotfl: I hope you have a great trip, too! Our kids' first trip was in 2007 during the first week in October and it was awesome. Great weather and low crowds. Happy planning!

Whoo-hoo!!!! You and I can enjoy drinks together at the pool!! LOL I think we'll be there right around the time you are. Tuesday the 25th is our "day off"...and I will be lounging around the resort all day long.

I see myself on the first page, but some reason my resort isn't on there?

Oct 11-18

We were staying at AsMu, but decided to upgrade and rented some DVC points from a super nice Dis'er. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 As long as Muddy Waters makes a mean Banana Cabana, I'm right there with you!!! Our trip is so short this time that we don't get a day off, and we will probably go to Epcot so my husband can sample the beer around the world for F&W. But we always take a mid-day break for at least two hours to swim, so I'll see you there!!!
