See ya there :goodvibes . We did same thing. So excited about staying near DTD.

Oct.9-15 @ SSR Me & Neice and Her Posse

Yay!! Hope we see you all there. :goodvibes We stayed at SSR in March and really loved being so close to DTD. It was a nice relaxing boat ride over.

Hi all-

As I mentioned before, we're planning our first trip EVER to WDW. So very excited. We're staying offsite at Bonnet Creek (needed extra rooms, bringing a nanny for our 1 year old so we can truly enjoy the time with the 8 and 5 year olds).

Anway, here's our plan for the moment - would love all of your feedback on how it looks! We're definitely going to be a midday nap family given our kids ages and Mom's need for a break!

10/14 Fri - Arrive MCO 1pm, hotel and maybe DTD, early to bed
10/15 Sat - Animal Kingdom, nap/hotel, Wishes Dessert party?? Hope they release it soon!
10/16 Sun - Epcot
10/17 Mon - MK, character lunch Chef Mickey 11:20, nap, evening flexible
10/18 Tue - Hollywood Studios, nap, evening MNSSHP? return to HS?
10/19 Wed - 8:10am CRT breakfast, 9:30 Pirate's League, rest of day MK/flexible
10/20 Thu - Flexible (return to Epcot?), evening Fantasmic
10/21 Fri - Depart :sad1:

I'm wondering if I should get a Park Hopper pass or not. We might be able to focus things so that I don't need it (move our HS day to Thursday for example).

What do you all think? And thanks so much for all the help/advice on the boards. You've all helped so much.

Hey, we have similar dates and it will be our first time also. We've got a DD10 and a DS3, we fly in the same day but leaving the 22. I'ld say wait till you get there and see how things play out on your first day or two in the parks. If you find would would like to hop, then add it on. It would really be a shame to spend the money on hopping then not hop. Our fist park day is AK also, I'll be sure to have my LMGH (Lime Green Mickey Head, the offical Dis'er tag). If you see me, say

:thumbsup2 As long as Muddy Waters makes a mean Banana Cabana, I'm right there with you!!! Our trip is so short this time that we don't get a day off, and we will probably go to Epcot so my husband can sample the beer around the world for F&W. But we always take a mid-day break for at least two hours to swim, so I'll see you there!!!

Then I'll say Hi to you in EPCOT (which is where my family spends most of our time) and you and I can enjoy a margarita while walking around the world! LOL I understand about the shorts trips, but that's why we've never taken one....I need to relax at least a little. Not that walking around the parks isn't fun, but I have a bad back, so lounging in my resort room is actually really nice for me.

You have a couple of things on your list that would require a park hopper. 10/15 and 10/20 It would certainly cost a little more but less than MNSSHP. If you do get it the park hopper will give you more flexibility in your planning.

we just love the park hopper option and always get it, so i am definitely a fan of it. You would have flexibility to move around more and do what you missed later in the trip. we usually do one park in the am and a different one in the pm. it is rare that we stay in one park all day. the hopper allows us to take advantage of morning EMH, then leave by lunch when it gets crowded and do a different park in the evening. If we decided we want to eat somewhere in epcot, we can go that night for an hour or two- we just love that flexibility.

Sounds good to me! :thumbsup2 After Mexico we can stroll over to China for a Gingerita. Then maybe over to Italy for an Italian Margarita...then maybe to Morrocco for that yummy Tangerine drink, then possibly over to France for a Grey Goose slush. :lmao: Perhaps we better eat along the way, LOL, it could be a long day.

Yuck it's hotter and more humid in Minneapolis, MN then it is at WDW. Thank goodness for airconditioning.

Sounds great!!! We can eat at the kiosks along the way. And I know Morocco has little pita bread pieces....sp the bread can soak up the alcohol! :rotfl:

Same here! We're supposed to be 100 degrees by Friday. Phew! :beach:

I'm here with you. My son is at the Phillies Baseball Academy this week...I freaked when I saw the weather on CBS3 this morning! :scared1: I could not beleive it's supposed to be 100 on Friday. And this humidity is going to be the death of me!

At least we're going to Disney in less humid weather.

Right there with you all, 100 by Thursday here in DC!

I feel like I will melt into the pavement :headache:

Oy, I know a few kids going to that this week! You all got a great week for it! :faint:

This heat (and crowds) is the exact reason we won't go to Disney in the summer anymore. I'll take DD out of school for a week every time from now on! When it's this hot, I'm either in the AC or on a beach chair while the ocean waves roll at my feet! :boat::beach:

I'm in Ontario so for it to reach 90's is HOT HOT HOT here, but then again pretty soon we'll be complaining about the cold, so I'm just dealing with it I have it pretty easy a/c at the office all day, pool when I get home if I get too hot and my house is kept pretty cool. 89 days !

It's a sweltering 66 here.:) It's been a cool wet summer. We were at WDW in June and it was high 90's and humid so we feel your pain.

HOT HOT HOT! so sick of it. 3 weeks of 100 plus temps. every. single. day. We've hit 107 recently too and super humid. why do i live in Dallas again? Oh yea, I love my family. But man, even just going to grab a sandwich at lunch, i come back and my pants are stuck to me and wet with sweat, it's disgusting!

****Rumor***** I heard from a CM aquaintance of sorts that there are lots of rumors flying around that Jack and Sally will be at MNSSHP for M&G. No HM ride change or anything too speical, but enough guests have complained about them not being there, so Disney is doing a M&G. As far as this CM knows, it's a rumor he doesn't know if it's true or a lot of wishful thinking. But supposedly they have found people to play them.

The moment anyone knows...I mean millisecond....for sure...I want to know :goodvibes !!!

As far as weather goes, I've lived in florida since I was five, and I think the weather is amazing this July, especially compared to last July...I wouldn't even go outside! Nice weather, hope it stays this way....and gets cooler! Only 77 in Orlando at the moment, even at night thats AMAZING....
