I can make ADRs this Saturday. WHOOP! :woohoo:

So jealous. I can make mine on the 24th, which i just realized is Easter! Wonder if i can convince my wonderful daughter to stay in bed until after 7 while i try to book CRT and a couple other must haves. :rotfl2:

We are there the same time and will be in a few parks on the same days!

I'm loving knowing that there will be disers there!

And to answer a question from your previous post... if the park closes at 7, the last ADR will be somewhere around that time. As long as you have an ADR (and are not late), they will seat you even if it would be past closing.

exwdwcm....I'm going to be doing them online. I can start at 7am online here, right when I will be getting the kids ready for school, so I'll be back and forth from the computer to the kitchen! lol I am hoping to get the ADRs we want especially CRT for dd's birthday and the F! dining pkg!!!
cool- i've done that too! I am lucky, my day is a sunday! although that means getting up early, but it's worth it!

Jealous about all of you doing your ADRs already. I have to wait until April 17! Luckily that is a Sunday and not a day where I have class the night before since I will have to be up at 5:45AM. Also I am so glad I am not going for any of the "big" reservations as that lowers the stress levels of the day!

Still need to decide on a few times though.
I am doing mine on April 17th (sorry, my ticker is a day off, we added a day, arriving 10/14 now). can't wait! It is 6am EST for online, right? that means 5am my time, which means I will be up at like 4:45 to get online, logged in and ready. ouch! :rotfl:

HI! I booked our trip, 10/31 to 11/13. I booked the first 7 days at AKL and the last 6 days at FW cabins, we've never split up our time like that. Is it difficult to move from one resort to another?
We will arrive early on 10/31 and the kids are so excited to trick or treat at Disney. We've never been to Disney in fall, does anyone know when we can purchase our MNSSHP tickets? Also, we were hoping to be able to do the Christmas party but i'm not sure if it runs that early in November?
Thanks for all the great advise! i love reading the boards everyday, it makes my trip seem not that far away. :)
I've heard the move is usually pretty easy. they will move your luggage for you. the FW cabins are a lot of fun! usually tickets are available in May. The early dates don't sell out, but the ones closer to the party (and 10/31) I hear sell out. The first MVMCP last year was November 8th. I would assume a similar schedule this year, but we won't know the official dates for either party until the tickets go on sale (although we have a pretty good guess for MNSSHP based on TA hours).

Haven't checked in since I subbed way back when but now I have a rough plan. Going with the wife and 2 daughters (4 yo and almost 3 yo).

Oct. 8th - Travel day (9 hr. drive). Check in to the Hilton for the night since I found an outstanding deal ( $107 after taxes and fees). Eat and sleep.
Oct. 9th - Check out of Hilton and check in to BLT studio. Magic Kingdom for the day and level of travel fatigue will decide how much we do. 1900 Park Fare for early dinner.
Oct. 10th - Animal Kingdom. Chef Mickey's for Dinner. We'll be here this day too! We're doing HDDR and Haunted Hayride at night though
Oct. 11th - Magic Kingdom. MNSSHP. Crystal Palace for Breakfast. We're going to MNSSHP this night too, but we're doing Cape May for BF
Oct. 12th - Hollywood Studios. Grand Floridian Cafe for Dinner.Another day we're in the same park as you!
Oct. 13th - EPCOT. Akershus for Breakfast. Fantasmic @ 8 pm.Aw - we'll be at EPCOT tomorrow 10/14. Although this is a "free" day. We could end up at EPCOT. We'll have dinner at Ohana.
Oct. 14th - Free day. Ohana for Breakfast.
Oct. 15th - Check out and make the long drive home.

Looks like we have a good chance of bumping into each other. We'll have our LGMH on our backpack. We'll be me, DH, DD (12) and DD's Friend (12). Sounds to me like you have a GREAT plan! LOL :thumbsup2

Thanks for the information EXWDWCM! I think it will be fun to celebrate Halloween and Christmas in one trip ( somehow i need to fit in Thanksgiving :) )
I'm especially excited for the Epcot Food and Wine festival, i've never been and it looks like a great time - usually me and my DH do our own " wine " festival through the countries - ha

My parents will have thier RV down at Fort Wilderness, so I'm flying down to meet them for Oct 15-22. Being 3 adults without the dining plan, we're playing the planning sort of loose. The F&WF is a big part of the trip, but I've put a semi-plan together. We've done the Oct F&W trip many times so it's sort of old hat by now. The WDW costs are paid off, and I've already got my airfare, so we just need to make some ADRs when our window opens. Loose Plan:

10/15:
Arrival day
Lounge around the Fort / Bay Lake, drink beer
Grill some steaks for dinner

10/16:
Lounge around Fort, drink beer
Hit DTD
Dinner somewhere at DTD

10/17:
Epcot for most of day for World Sowcase and F&WF
Dinner at Via Napoli

10/18:
MK for main park
Dinner at Le Cellier and some more F&WF

10/19:
HS as main park
Dinner at Kona
If Wishes Dessert party is offered, we're booking for this night to catch Wishes and MSEP
If there's no dessert party, then the backup is hitting the Poly and watching Wishes from the beach with some Lapu Lapus

10/20:
AK as main park. Probably head off to Epcot later
Dinner at The Wave

10/21:
Open day for park hopping, speed boats, mini-golf, tours, more beer drinking???
Dinner at Yachtsmen

10/22:
Departure day
Breakfast at The Wave

Many times I'll be hanging with my parents ... other times I sort of do my own thing. La Cava del tequila is a favorite spot of mine. I'll probably also hit Jellyrolls for a night or two. I'll keep an eye out for any Lime Green Mickey's. I may have a LGMH on my camera bag, so if if you see a guy matching that description, it may be me.

The Disney Food Blog Today Reported...................

As part of the 2011 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, guests can settle in to watch some of their favorite 80’s bands at the Eat to the Beat concerts! These happen every night at the American Gardens Theater in the American Pavilion.

While Disney has not yet released the official concert schedule, here’s what we’re hearing. This is VERY SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

Gin Blossoms September 27-28
.38 Special October 3-5
Starship October 13-16
Hanson October 31-November 1
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy November 11-13

More to come!

Of course no hints for the dates I will be there yet :sad1:

there's a good chance we'll run into each other. I have similar dates (14-22) and also staying at POFQ
You may run into us, too - 15-22 at POFQ!

Haven't figured out any scheduling yet. I will before my ADRs are due, though - I know we want Jiko, Boma, Sanaa (would stay at AKL if we could afford it! :rotfl:), Kouzzina, V&A. Maybe Brown Derby and LTT for days we're in the parks. Maybe Marrakesh, too, but I think Epcot will be devoted to Food & Wine.

So many choices!

Friday, 10/21
Epcot RD for AM EMH
lunch at F&W
MK early evening
QS dinner at MK or CR
Pirates and Pals Cruise (from CR dock)

I noticed you had the Pirates and Pal Cruise this night. Did you already book that? I know the offical Oct. Calendar isn't out, but this http://www.disneytravelagents.com/StaticFiles/DTA-Domestic/pdf/ParkHours/WDW_Operating_Calendar_oct.pdf shows there is no Wishes fireworks that night, so I'm curious. IF you already booked it that would be great as DH and I would most def be on that too. pirate:

I hope this isn't an oft repeated dumb questions, BUT...how late do the buses run back to the resorts? I'm wondering if a late ADR means a long walk or a cab ride after dessert.

HI! I booked our trip, 10/31 to 11/13. I booked the first 7 days at AKL and the last 6 days at FW cabins, we've never split up our time like that. Is it difficult to move from one resort to another?

Hi pix13dust! we did a split stay 1 night at POP (arrival) and the rest of our stay 8 nights at BLT...so overall the split wasn't horrible...but I tried to pack my luggage accordingly to what we needed that first night and 2nd day and only wanted that bag in our room (we brought 6 didn't need all 6 for 1 night)...well that was mistake 1 DON'T mess around w/ the Disney way of delievering bags to your room (we used DME)...it got all messed up...plus transfering bags from value to deluxe/DVC took a long time...they told us after 3 pm...but w/ a mess up of not all our bags being delievered it was well after 5 pm by the time they all came...:headache: checking into the new resort was a breeze but for a person who likes to get all settled in the room on day 1)...that just didn't work...and it was hard on a few of my kids...when we were done mid day at MK wanted a break and had no room to get into till after 4 pm at BLT...

it works and Disney does a nice job...but be prepared for possible delays...I'd advise moving whatever you think you want right away w/ you when you check-in at the cabins and store in luggage there JIC.

good luck and have a great trip!

the nights where it shows NO WISHES and MK closes at 7pm is typically going to be a MNSSHP night. in most of mid/late October, MNSSHP is every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. That is a friday i plan to do the cruise, so while we won't see WISHES, they will have Hallowishes going off at 9:30 usually during the halloween party, so that is what we will see on the cruise. They don't list hallowishes on the calendar, since it is part of the MNSSSHP. does that make sense? ;)

That completely makes sense!! Excuse my ignorance! lol Another question then, do you have to do MNSSHP to do the Pirates and Pals that night? We're planning on doing MNSSHP, but weren't planning it so early in our trip (the 21st will be our first FULL day at Disney), but we would still love to do Pirates and Pals that night if it can be considered a separate thing (which I'm thinking it would be since it's at the Contemporary). Gosh I feel so dumb about all this planning. :thanks:

I know the feeling, I would have booked Wilderness Lodge. DH is more a foodie than I am (though I do enjoy it). I can totally see us snacking throughout the "world" as appose to real meals. I can also forsee DH enjoying the stations by his lonesome while the kids and I enjoy the Kim Possible adventure, the trains in Germany, and some shopping. Then (3 hours later) we'll be back in future world. I'll be standing/watching the kids play with all the interactive stuff.

After announcing to DH that WDW website will have thier hours posted on April 1st, I go to check it today. Well, they have the calender up, but nothing on the hours.

Sounds like it. I will keep an eye out for the LGMH!!! :)

thanks so much Mousescapper! I was thinking on the day we transfer to FW cabins, maybe we would go to a waterpark for most of the day, this way if the luggage was delayed it wouldn't effect us too much, since i anticipate getting back to the cabins sometime after dinner.

Can't wait to go! it snowed yeasterday and today:(

Count us in for the week of 10/15-10/23. Staying at POFQ for the second time, already in full planning mode, spreadsheets are printed and we are planning !!!!:thumbsup2

I think POFQ is being taken over by a bunch of us mid October! That is really sort of funny!

10/17 Late start at Epcot. World Showcase and Food and Wine Festival. my DH & I plan to be at EP for F&W too...maybe we can plan a meet at some food kiosk

Mousescrapper, we will have to meet! I'll be the one rolling around too full to move, I am sure. I am super excited about Food and Wine Festival and I wish I had more time there.

We are going to schedule a later dinner at Chefs on 10/20 then I had originally planned so we have a bit more time to snack that second time at Epcot. Though I would be happy with some French Onion Soup and a flatbread I think and wouldn't need a full meal. I would cancel it, but this was one of the few restaurants mom asked about going to so I want to be sure to include it.

A quick question. I can't believe I don't know this, but when can the tours (such as Keys to the Kingdom) be booked? Is it 180 days as well?
