First time on here. No clue what I am doing! Can you tell? : ) Just wanted to say hi and that I am VERY excited for our October trip!

Welcome! When are you going in October and where are you staying? How many in your party? Lots of people with great knowledge and advice here, so don't be afraid to ask questions if you have any.

Welcome aboard! All the questions of the PP poster, plus are you going to the Halloween party?

You'll love this group - we're all one big happy family! :grouphug:

Reading the reviews it looks like the Clean and Clear oil absorbing sheets are the winners! The only complaint is that people want them to be bigger.

Thanks girls! Found them at WalMart tonight. :thumbsup2
There are 50 little cloths in the package and it says they absorb oil without smudging makeup (i.e. they are not cleansing towelettes or makeup removers).

Haha! Scorpios are very much like Pisces only more stubborn and controlling. Cancers are as well except more "mama's boys." and girls. It's the water signs. We're all the same just to varying degrees. Perhaps your rising sign reflects more of your personality than your sun sign and that's why the discrepancy? :confused3 Oh, I find this stuff so fascinating. I have two books from the woman that used to write astrology for Cosmo (also Nancy Reagan's astrologer - I forget her name - Helen something). One is "Love on a Rotten Day" and one is "Born on a Rotten Day" and they show the bad aspects of your signs. Pisces says basically "You're an alcoholic, drug addict, s*x addict who's ideal date is on the cardboard boxes in the back of a liquor store." :lmao: (that's not true btw - I prefer beer )

Ok - so I'm a Virgo....what are my sign's bad aspects?

I have really really straight, long, fine hair. Most everything I buy just slips right out of my hair. :headache: Do you think this would work for me, or do you think it would probably slip out like everything else?

If you read the comments/reviews, there are some people that say they work great for very thin/fine hair - and they never slip.

Me, DH and DS age 6 will be at POFQ October 22-29!!!!

Welcome phardin and DisneyJen73 to the DIS and the October planning thread!:welcome:

Did anybody have any luck with the new FD dates being offered? Our dates are still blacked out, but to make myself feel better, I sent a tweet to @WaltDisneyWorld letting them know they forgot to include 10/15 or 10/16. :)

Thanks! I'm arriving 10/15 and really would love to have it! :worship:

Sorry I didn't say welcome earlier! I tried to get POFQ, but they were booked for our dates (except a King bed, which we didn't want). We have stayed at POR before and loved it. Hoping to enjoy POP just as much. Our motto is "Who cares? We're in Disney!" Is this your first WDW trip?

Hi attain, thanks for the welcome! We are going 10/22 - 28, staying at Pop for the first time! Traveling with 5 in our party, DH, DD8, DS5, MIL and me. We will be attending our 1st MNSSHP and are very excited! So far, the only question I have, how do you put one of the tickers on your posts? : ) I tried and as you might see, failed.

I've got the PhotoPass CD on my list, as well. They have a lot of good information on the PhotoPass site about where to find photographers. http://www.disneyphotopass.com/aboutdpp_map_gen.aspx It is a bear to find it, so I keep the link handy.;)

Thanks for the link. I didn't realize they had a list. The Mobile Magic app should have PhotoPass places listed. That would be cool.

This thread was busy yesterday!

I bought some of those Clean & Clear papers once but I don't know where I put them. Story of my life!

50 DAYS!

:welcome: to all the newbies to the thread! :woohoo: Hope everyone is making you feel welcomed, this is a great bunch of disers here. I will try to get your info on the list today.

Today marks 49 days till we leave for the Fort and WDW! :cool1::woohoo::banana::yay::cool1::woohoo::banana::yay: I am so excited. I am in the process of researching etsy for shirts (I already ordered mickey tie dyed shirts), now I just have to make my packing list and buy what I don't have. I know I am going to buy that hair clip talked about earlier (I have thick, naturally wavy/curly unruly hair) and the clean & clear oil pads. Not to mention what I will need grocery wise (have to make that meals list).

I do have a question. Somewhere on the disboard someone posted about passport covers big enough to put GACs in from Roobygear.com. I ordered a couple for our trip last year, it held alot like the GAC (kept it dry from the rain and wet rides), money, room keys, passes. Plus it was clear, so I didn't have to constantly take out the GAC to show it at every ride, and it hooked to our lanyards. I wanted to purchase a new one for this trip (because the kids don't like theirs anymore and want new ones, I know I am giving in to them, lol) but the website is no more. Does anyone know of a product similar?

Shannon, where did you order your Mickey Tye Dye shirts from? Wanted to make some, but I've never done Tye Dye before and the thought of messing up the Mickey one's scares me!

Ooooo but making them is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!

Following the directions from a thread here on the DIS, these are a couple of the shirts I made last year. It's SOOOOOO cool to have your group wear them because everyone stops to comment and compliment!

I bought the shirts to make our tye dye shirts since I was making an iron on for DH's birthday but still need to order the dye.

I think I'm going to order some of those flexi8 things for DD and myself but I'm also going to order some of these. http://sweatybands.com/ A friend of a friend posted about them on facebook and swears by them. Well I knew her in high school too but she's not on MY friends list. :rotfl: Anyway, my hair is a bit shorter right now so the headband might be best but I don't get it cut very often so I know I could use the flexi8 soon. The problem will just be DD misplacing them. I can't get her to put things away to save my life. There is still a bun wrap sitting in her bathroom from ballet Tuesday night. I have asked her once a day to put it back in her dance bag before it gets lost. I asked very sweetly Tuesday night when she was taking it off. The requests have been getting a little louder and more irate every day. :lmao:

:woohoo::cool1::banana::yay: I just realized we are officially in the 30's now!!! :dance3:

I still have so much to do. I have been so focused on back to school stuff and our mini trip to Atlanta next week. My DS12 finally decided what he wants us to wear for MNSSHP. He has talked aobut Harry Potter theme, Adventure Time theme, etc. but in the end decided on Nintendo Mario theme....hmmmm seems popular around here.;) So instead of dressing up as the characters, we are ordering shirts I found online that say; Team Mario, Team Luigi and Team Yoshi. I'm glad I get to be team Yoshi :thumbsup2 (I didn't really want to be Princess Peach). We have various accessories to go with it. My DS also wants me to order Yoshi slippers...we'll see about that, not sure if I want to walk around MK all night in slippers. ;)

Thank you for explaining my ex-husband! :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm a crazy gemini.
:rotfl::rotfl: Geminis and Pisces = Oil and Water. But we make good friends!!

First time on here. No clue what I am doing! Can you tell? : ) Just wanted to say hi and that I am VERY excited for our October trip!

Welcome! :cheer2::cheer2:

Ok - so I'm a Virgo....what are my sign's bad aspects?

Ah, Virgo. My daughter, brother, and brother-in-law are all Virgos. *sigh* It is one of the signs I can almost pick out of the crowd, they are that consistent. I can tell you about them myself, but I'll let the pros do it.

Virgo exists in the mind, everything is inside. To the world, Virgo presents a calm and collected exterior but on the inside, nervous uncontrolled intensity in the mind, trying to figure things out, how to improve everything, analyzing and thinking. Virgo can tire itself out without even moving! Virgo has a constant drive to improve and perfect, this can lead to extreme pickiness and finickiest. They are pure, their motives are honest never malicious and they want to accomplish something.

Oh those are too cute! I wish I was crafty like that. If I attempted those t-shirts it would be a fiasco!
