I dont think I formally introduced myself and my family so here it is :thumbsup2
Me: Victoria... Stay at home mom, Homeschool teacher, Bellydancer (amature)
DH: Curt, It guy... doesnt like Disney :scared1:
DCs: Emily 17...Her Graduation trip Wants to work for Disney
Jenna 11 will turn 12 week after trip. LOVES Disney like her momma
Logan will be 9 in June side with dad until we get there... then is all out Disney crazy :lmao:

Where we are staying: AKV-Kidani in a DVC 2 bedroom my sister gifted me points for (our Christmas from her)

What we are doing: 3 days hoppers, DTD, MNSSHP, Yes! classes October 17, IOA for WWOHP on one day since DH got 4 free tickets from work and i have a free ticket on my Credit card points :cool1:.

Here is our plan:
I'll update it later as i dont know yet.

Welcome to the party!~:woohoo:

Went to the doctor this morning, during check in the nurse did my vital signs - could not get a blood pressure, weighed me - lost 2 pounds :), put in a room and waited and waited. Finally MD comes in, sits at the computer in the room and looks through the computer at my records and again we waited and waited and waited. At this point, I have been worrying so much, my stomach felt a little upset. I am thinking to myself "if he doesn't hurry up I am going to explode". The MD finally calls the nurse in and ask about another test that he ordered but had not resulted. The nurse comes back in and says it was never done, ordered but not done by the lab. The MD tells us that 2 of the genetic tests came back negative! :cool1::banana: That is a relief, but they have to redraw blood for the test never done by the lab. :sad2: I asked the MD if I can go back to work without limitations and he said yes!:cool1: So I didn't neccessarily receive bad news. Just have to wait for the other test to result. I am still under the watchful eye of my hematologist, I don't care as long as I can get my life back in order. I think I deserve this vacation now! I don't have to change anything to it, I was sweating it for awhile. I thought that I would have to change resorts to a moderate or value (which there is nothing wrong with them) but I had my heart on staying at a deluxe once in my life. Now I don't have to. Gonna help ds with his homework, thanks again for the prayers and well wishes. I appreciate them. It's hard for me to be the patient and not the nurse.

Great news! I'm glad you'll be able to get your life back on track. I know how frustrating it can be when everything is out of sorts and out of your control. :goodvibes

What we are doing: A whole lot of hopping in all 4 parks, DTD, MNSSHP and the Wild by Design class October 25.

Here is our plan:
10/22-MK(gotta start there!)~CP breakfast
10/23-AK then HS~50s PT Dinner
10/24-Ep then MK~Food and Wine
10/25-Yes program, Pool then MNSSHP~The Plaza Dinner
10/26-HS then Ep~Beaches and Cream Dinner
10/27-Ep then HS~Akershus breakfast
10/28-AK then DTD-Tusker House or RF Cafe Breakfast, HoB Dinner
10/29-MK(gotta finish there!)~1900 Park Fare dinner

In addition to our YES class on the 25th, I think we might bump into each other now and again! :rotfl:
This is our plan (pending ADRs) so far.....

10/22 - MK (The Plaza)
10/23 - EPCOT & Boardwalk (Tutto Italia & Beaches&Cream)
10/24 - EPCOT & MK (Kona Cafe & F&W)
10/25 - AK & EPCOT (YES Class & Yak&Yeti)
10/26 - DHS & MK (Sci-Fi)
10/27 - MK & DTD (Raglan Road)
10/28 - EPCOT & MK (Behind the Seeds Tour & LeCellier)
10/29 - MK

Ok, now that it's getting down to the wire with ADRs for me, I'm starting to change my mind daily. Used to be just weekly.

Anyway, originally I had us doing the following:

Day 1 (Sunday) - arrive at resort around 3.
Dinner at Crystal Palace

Day 2 - MK day, dinner at Tony's

Day 3 - Akershus breakfast/MNSSHP

Day 4 - Tusker House breakfast/1900 PF Dinner

Day 5 - free day - no TS meals

Day 6 - Kona dinner

Day 7 - DTD morning - flight home 4PM

Ok so now I'm thinking to do CP for breakfast on day 2 and just do counter service on day 1 and give us a little more time to orient my DD to the park, the crowds, the characters, etc. That will also give us an extra TS meal to use for Ohana the last day as sort of a farewell breakfast. I don't know if I want to start with a character meal or end with one. Is it better to have that first day completely free of commitment or the last day? :confused3

OMG, PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY!!

I am driving myself CRAZY with this planning :scared1:. I keep changing my ADR's, my park days, I am going to go nuts before this trip comes. So I came up with a "park days" plan based on info I found on one of the sites (I want to say easywdwd), based on suggested park days, with that came up with my ADR's. Now I joined touring plans and the suggested days vary a little so I started to Tweek my park plans, which led to tweaking my ADR's and omg, it's spiraling!!! So here is my question........

We will be there for 8 days, no park day first day or last day so this leaves 6 park days. I am thinking DHS on F! night but arriving late in the day and doing the dinning package just to see F! since this is not a recommended park day. Can you look below and let me know if you think I am scheduling too much/too little time in any one park or if I am being overly agressive w/ my plans (does it sound too much) or to much down time?

10/23 - DHS evening only for F!
10/24 - AK until afternoon and then EP evening
10/25 - hotel afternoon - MNSSHP evening
10/26 - MK all day, wishes, parade, etc.
10/27 EP all day - evening ?????? (whichever park we love the most)
10/28 - DHS all day/Mk an hour or so before park closes at 7

planning a trip like this really makes my OCD come out.

TIA

End without the commitment... it gives to you time to see what you missed

I don't think this sounds like you're overloading at all. You have some nice breaks in there and seem to hit all the parks for the lengths of time you should at that time of year. We'll be there the same week and are only doing a day of AK as well, and probably really only a morning. DD will be 3 and there isn't going to be much for her to hang out in the park all day. Same with DHS. We'll be spending a 1/2 day there too. But like you, we left some open time to pick which park we want to go back to so if she likes AK or DHS and wants to go back we can. I think that's the best way to go about it. Looks good!! :thumbsup2

I was all set until finding out about the problems with Via Napoli and Biergarten ressies :confused3 That started me looking at different senarios for our first two days and now I want to change our Wishes night too I just do not know what to do and I make ADRs tomorrow. I woke up last night middle of the night thinking about this darn schedule.

I think CP for breakfast on your Mk day is a good idea, I am planning on trying for and 8:05 am ADR so we can get into MK before it opens.

I do not think your schedule seems heavy at all , it is light compared to mine. AS of now I have us going to a park after we check in since I think most likely we will have to wait to check in then going to DTD our first night but might change to MK our last day we leave early so not doing a park.

Do you think you will be tired the first day? We always hit a park first day except for our last trip, we took a later flight and did not get to WDW until after 3pm our room was ready and DH collasped on the bed we did make it out to eat later but only as far as a place in the resort. No more mid day flights for us since we still are up at crack of dawn so totally exhausted by time we got to Disney.

LMC, DD is 3 too so I figured 1/2 day in AK and I have DHS on twice because the first night w/ F! we probably wouldn't get to see much. We'll do dinner and get on line for F! if it's not crazy and she is up for it we'll do some stuff but otherwise the real day at the park will be the last day.

SJS, our arrival date we plan to hang w/ friends (and the following morning too) so not sure what is on the agenda. maybe DTD or a park, they are not into planning this far in advance and think I'm a nut because I am doing all of this now so.... I guess I will just go w/ the flow and see if we end up in a park or not.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think maybe I will feel more set once my ADR's are made and I feel like my plan is set. Although, I'm sure as it gets closer touring plans will update and send me into a frenzy :lmao:

Looking at my park plan after posting it here i think I am pretty happy with it. The onlything i can possible think might change is what night we do MNSSHP. I prefer that Tuesday night but may end up with Thursday depending on weather.

Do you think we could do WWOHP and get back to MK by 5 for MNSSHP? We dont have a major costume change. We are going as Phineas and Ferb, Candace, Stacy, and Isabella. So our costumes are real clothes and we will spray DH and DS hair. The girls pretty much have correct hair colors LOL

I think your plan looks great. We will be there the week prior to you and our schedule looks very similar (as far as the amount of time in each park, etc.)

The only thing that I wondered about was 10/28 the hour or so in MK. Is this just because you love MK and want to end your trip in this park? If so, then I completely understand. Otherwise, I might skip this altogether. After being in DHS all day and it being the end of the week you might just be plum exhausted. Just a thought! :goodvibes

Good luck with your ADR's! Hopefully you will get everything ironed out soon!

Your kiddos will love the surprise :yay::woohoo::dance3: We surprised my son for his 11th birthday with a trip to disney.
We also surprised our kids once! - with our Land & Sea trip in 2008.
They had no idea we were going to Disney until we woke them up at 5am by blasting Disney Park music outside their bedroom doors. On the way to the airport we surprised them again by telling them about the Cruise portion. And then once we arrived at the airport, the final surprise was that Grandma & Grandpa were coming with us!
It was fun to surprise them - but on the other hand, my 3 boys are my partners in planning.....We pretty much discuss some aspect of Disney and/or our upcoming trip every single day - and I missed that part.:guilty:

I have a DBF as well that I'm dreaming of a Disney proposal from as well! :goodvibes
Oooooo - now wouldn't that be lovely!

What will we do when we get there?
~ We will be celebrating DS's 4th birthday (October 10)! Our anniversary is Oct 14, but this trip is all about DS!
~ I have Pirates' League booked for his b-day and hoping to be able to book Pirate and Pals Firework cruise for October once the dates have been finalized. DS loves all things pirates and is Peter Pan's biggest fan!
~ We are visiting all 4 parks multiple days and are on the DDP.
~ Also, we are planning on attending MNSSHP. Just waiting on the dates to be released so we can purchase our tickets!

I think that is all... Looking forward to planning with you all!
Sounds like a great plan!:thumbsup2

Is it better to have that first day completely free of commitment or the last day? :confused3
We typically leave our last day open because we're busy with packing, last minute purchases, leaving the room for the last time, and our last trek down Main Street....:sad1:

10/27 EP all day - evening ?????? (whichever park we love the most)

The only gap I see is from your arrival day (with no Park) until your 2nd day's evening at DHS. For us that would be a long time to wait.....to be there but not immersed in the Magic yet!:mickeyjum

10/27 - MK & DTD (Raglan Road)
10/28 - EPCOT & MK (Behind the Seeds Tour & LeCellier)
10/29 - MK

We have several places we cross over. That is too funny! Especially 10/24, we are both doing Ep followed by MK. Are you doing the same thing we are? Heading over to MK after Illuminations for the EMH? We should almost rent a van and travel together! :lmao:

Home with a sick little girl so I'm on the DIS. Although that wouldn't be much different if I was at work! :lmao: DD's school called around lunch and said she had a fever of 103. Poor little girl. She was cranky this morning and now I know why, although they said at school she was fine until just before lunch. Must have been when the fever developed. No other symptoms though so I'm hoping it's a 24 hour bug and she'll be ok by the Easter festivities since we're doing both my family and DH's family this weekend.

Ok, I think keeping the last day free is probably our best bet. I agree that I don't want to be rushing around that day and it's the only day I have scheduled for DTD, although we may decide to go before out of the blue. My DH hates DTD but he's not a shopper. I go just for WOD and Earl of Sandwich! Besides, we can do CP and Tony's on day 2 if we want since we're planning on being in MK the entire day aside from a break for nap. I don't know. We'll see! Thanks for the input!! :thumbsup2

I was driving DH crazy today while we were out at lunch, asking him if what he thought about doing MK on our arrival day instead of DTD, telling him about the Wishes Dessert Party which he liked the idea of :) , asking if he wanted to change our flight home to a later one since it went way down in price, etc etc finally he said to me when you get it all done just give me the itenery so I know what we are doing :lmao:

A question for those that have already booked your adrs. Have you been able to reserve Fantasmic package for dinner? We are paying OOP so wondering what the cost is.

Thanks

A question for anyone with a child signed up for the Disney Youth Programs: Can someone tell me how much these cost?

Thanks!

Your plans look great! I wouldn't worry, driving yourself crazy about ADR's and your itinerary is half the fun of planning a Disney vacation! I made my ADR's in the beginning of the month, and I'm still searching for different restaurants! I'm never happy! :rotfl:

I was driving DH crazy today while we were out at lunch, asking him if what he thought about doing MK on our arrival day instead of DTD, telling him about the Wishes Dessert Party which he liked the idea of :) , asking if he wanted to change our flight home to a later one since it went way down in price, etc etc finally he said to me when you get it all done just give me the itenery so I know what we are doing :lmao:

LOL, my DH basically says the same thing! He tells me to let him know the days he has to take off for work and what time we have to be at the airport and that's it! :rotfl: Once in a while he will request a certain ADR, but as long as we go to Le Cellier, he's pretty happy!

Hoping your little one feels better soon especially before the Easter festivities.

I was able to book my Fantasmic package for dinner, but as of right now it isn't available to book online. I had to call the reservation line when they opened at 7:00am. I had a few options as far as time & restaurant so I think you should be fine.

We are on the dining plan, however she did quote me the price and I wrote it down somewhere but can't for the life of me find it now. If you go HERE they have the pricing & info based on the restaurant you choose. I think they are pretty accurate...within a dollar or 2.
