Thanks all for the tips.

Exw, thanks on the monorail/MK response. I was debating about 7:30 for 1900 park but nervous that DD will have had enough if we get seated late. Need to think about that one and make a decsion by the time I make my ADR's.

I think I may just buy my MNSSHP tickets as soon as they are offered. I just hope the weather turns out good that day. I guess it's just luck of the draw.

Catira, we are going to do Wishes too and I think we'll do CS that night to just grab burgers or a salad. Why waste a TS on a night when I'm paying for those yummy desserts not long after dinner :) Do you know if you can get wishes ressie 180 days prior as well??

As of now, the Wishes dessert party can not be booked at 180 days. Seems there is not set date when people can reserve. Just have to constantly check if a reservation is available. We are paying for all our meals.. sadly no dining plan. :sad1:

No ADR's we are going bare bones on dining, just QSDP, but I did Order my tickets and sign the kids up for Disney's Youth Education Series :cool1: Now im waiting for MNSSHP tickets to go on sale.

which class are you doing?? We are doing Oct 17th:thumbsup2

Oct 11 going to Captivating Memories with my 17 yr old and Dh is taking the two younger ones to Ocean Discoveries (same day both in epcot at 8:30am)

Ok.. more questions for you all:)

At Hollywood Studios do you prefer Sci Fi, 50's Prime, or Mama Melrose?

Now, we have AK on 10/24 for early EMH @ 8am.. will probably try and eat something at the resort. Then head off to park.
Lunch: Yak and Yeti?
snack: jalapeno pretzel
dinner:???? We want to do the Wishes Dessert party that night. Would it be best to do a quick CS so we are not to full for the yummy desserts?

Sorry, I ask so many questions. I have no one else to give me feedback:sad2:

At DHS, I love Mama Melrose! But Sci Fi is good too, more for the atmosphere than the food. I mean, the food is good, but it's nothing really special, you know? I haven't been to 50's, but it looks fun!

I did the Wishes Dessert Party last year and for some reason I can't remember what we did for dinner, but I think we just snacked at the Food and Wine festival before we went to MK...and I still wasn't hungry enough for all that dessert! So my advice would be to eat early! There is SO much to pick from, and you can get as much as you want! :cool1:

The list is up to date as of now. :welcome: to all the newbies to the thread. Please check to make sure your info is correct.

Hey Shannon, I actually just changed my resort, if you want to change it on the list...I'm now staying at the Wilderness Lodge, from 9/30-10/8!

That's all I can say. :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

LOL!!!!!! Total mistake!! Going back to fix it now!

Can I just say that every time I think about this I start laughing out loud. People are giving me the strangest looks. Now I'm going to keep saying to myself how we're gonna be in a coma by the end of our trip.

Good Morning Fellow October Travelers

Just wanted to share something I came across this am on the DIS boards that I found of interest since I had never heard about it before. I wish I had children traveling with me so we could do this it sounds like a lot of fun.

The Hiding of paint brushes on TSI in MK ....the reward fast passes for the entire family for BTMR or Splash Mt.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2678990

I just read that yesterday too! I can't remember which site I saw it on or how I came across it but didn't remember hearing about it before. We've never been to TSI but I was thinking of checking it out. Now I have another reason. :)

Here's my one, lonely ADR:
Crystal Palace, Oct. 17, 8:05 a.m. :)

Don't worry. All of my ADRs will keep it company. :goodvibes

We ate at Mama Melrose before.. but can't remember if we liked the food or not. Your right.. we should eat early so we can save some space for the yummy stuff:yay:

I'm late to the party, but my husband and I will be there from Oct 22 to Nov 5. We're driving down from Michigan and staying at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek in a one bedroom presidential. We're both first timers and are celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary.

I have all of my ADR's picked out at I can't believe I get to make them so soon! I've been planning forever!!

Then it's all over and we drive home :-(

We have at least three days in each park so we'll get to do everything that's important to us. Our lunches will be around 2p and dinners around 8p. Snacks whenever we feel the urge :-)

I would LOVE any suggestions or comments!!

I'm off to the doctor to get my diagnosis from all the genetic testing done last week. Say a prayer for me. Will post later.

Congrates on the WL, it is one of our favorites if we did not want the convienence of being close to Epcot for F&W we might have stayed there this trip.

Good Luck Shannon at the Dr's hope all goes well for you

All this talk about the Wishes Dessert Party I am now rethinking my plan of doing 'Ohana then heading over to MK for the Dessert Party. Although I mainly want to book the WDP for the reserved seating , DH is not a big fan of crowds and fireworks viewing but does love his sweets, he wants to watch the fireworks from Poly beach......what to do ? :confused3 I need about 2 weeks in Disney to do everything I want to :rotfl:

Mama Melrose for us out of the three. Sci Fi and 50's are good too, but I love me some Mama Melrose Steak :O)

Me too. lol But we're already doing MNSSHP and Pirates and Pals.

I'm so weird I finished making my ADR list and was so sad planning the last day of our trip. DH was saying umm you have 6 months until we go, why are you sad now??? lol  Though I was able to start discussing a 2012 trip with him and he didn't think it was a bad idea, so that's progress. hehe

We were suppose to go to Disney last Nov but 3 weeks out our boiler bit the dust so we had to cancel. On the morning we were to leave it was freezing rain and snow flurries so I decided I did not want to risk a delayed flight and I booked October it helped to have a new vacation in the works since I was so bummed from having to cancel.
This year we were suppose to head to Montana, DH went years ago with one of our DSs and wants to go back. So I doubt I will get to go back to Disney next year although DH is receptive to a cruise so I might be able to get a day or two.

We were supposed to go last year as well (for our 5th wedding anniversary). DH was adamant about paying cash for the whole thing, and stuff came up so we had to cancel the trip. I was bound and determined to go this year, so I started saving up that day (again) and we're all booked up for this trip now. This one is 10 days now when last year was supposed to be 7. And since this trip is paid for I'm starting to think about another trip after this. lol

I used to live in California and went to Disneyland annually, but have never been to Orlando, so since I moved to VA it's been a huge dream of mine to go to DW and now with Universal having the Harry Potter park, my dream is complete! lol I know we won't get to do everything we want, but I want to pack this trip in with as much as possible. I think the next trip in 2012 will only be 5-6 days, but I'll take what I can get. :wizard:

We will be at Disney October 22nd-28th staying at Coronado Springs. It will just be me with DD & DS, Dh couldn't get off work. This will be our first trip in October, and my first time taking them on vacation alone, hopefully I survive.
