Pixidust, the 10/28 will be a DHS day but we will do 1900 Park so I figured one last tour of the park for a few hours before the park closes and we head over to dinner. We can go on DD favorite ride or pick up a last minute item or last minute photo op.

LJD, trust me it is bothering me too the starting gap but we are meeting friends and they are not planners like i am. Everyone keeps saying "O we'll figure it out when it gets closer, we can just do whatever". I'll be itching from the minute I get off the plane to get started

SJS, my DH would have cut me off the minute the word disney came out of my mouth. All he wants to know is how much its going to cost him, lol.

Nermel, yes, it can be fun... kind of, lol. I'll be happy when I get my ADR's and then I'm going to try to stop obsessing!!

I'm so weird I finished making my ADR list and was so sad planning the last day of our trip. DH was saying umm you have 6 months until we go, why are you sad now??? lol Though I was able to start discussing a 2012 trip with him and he didn't think it was a bad idea, so that's progress. hehe

I was cleaning out my closet and decided to trash all of the papers I had stored. Everything is pretty much online these days anyways. I came across a stack of Disney World receipts from our 2006 trip. The first one I saw was our receipt for CRT breakfast. Then one with ice cream treats. Then Pizza Planet! I told DH it was a good thing we started planning this trip. I would have been so depressed recycling all those receipts tonight if I didn't have October to look forward to.

We will be at Disney October 22nd-28th staying at Coronado Springs. It will just be me with DD & DS, Dh couldn't get off work. This will be our first trip in October, and my first time taking them on vacation alone, hopefully I survive.

So wish you were going a week earlier. Your three would make the perfect complement to our Illuminations Cruise with Shannon's family.

We tried this last September, from tips here on the DIS.....my 3 boys were SOOOO excited about this lil' scavenger hunt!
But unfortunately the 20 other people on the raft with us were doing the same thing. There was basically a mad dash, once we docked, of people racing to find the paintbrushes. We were a party of 8, and not one of us found anything. At least 2 other people did though.
Dejected, we took the raft back and DMIL struck up a friendly conversation with a CM who had the same name as her. During the conversation she mentioned that we did not find a paintbrush. Upon disembarking the raft, that CM slipped us fastpasses!

I was afraid of that. I've never been to TSI though so I think we'll still go. I'll just have to get super friendly with a CM on the way back, just in case.

Yeah, I saw that for our week too! Whats up with all the Saturdays in October, especially at EPCOT?

I'm going to assume it's just F&W.

I have a DBF as well that I'm dreaming of a Disney proposal from as well!

Has anyone been dropping hints to him?

We also surprised our kids once! - with our Land & Sea trip in 2008.
They had no idea we were going to Disney until we woke them up at 5am by blasting Disney Park music outside their bedroom doors. On the way to the airport we surprised them again by telling them about the Cruise portion. And then once we arrived at the airport, the final surprise was that Grandma & Grandpa were coming with us!
It was fun to surprise them - but on the other hand, my 3 boys are my partners in planning.....We pretty much discuss some aspect of Disney and/or our upcoming trip every single day - and I missed that part.

We didn't have a great experience surprising our kids last time. That's part of what I missed. I love talking to everyone about what they want to do and making sure everybody has at least one restaurant that they really wanted to eat at on our ADR list. DS even said that if we ever wanted to surprise them again to give him at least a week to get all of his things in order. If only I had known about the Asperger's beforehand. I never would have tried a surprise trip.

SO????? How did it go? You must be done by now. Did you get everything you wanted? I do mine on Monday and I have my list printed, times listed, order of how I want to make the ADR's, numbers I need to call, computer passwords, etc. LOL. I am all ready to go

Believe it or not I just got off the phone about 10 minutes ago.

I ended up having to call since the online system woudl not work for me other than for my arrival day to book anything. Every time I tried putting in my conf# it would say ok but when I would try to book anything it would ask me again for the confirmation number, I tried everything , tried bypassing that and pressing book reservation only to get and ERROR message.
I rebooted my pc twice, finally it was 7am so I called. only waited for maybe 5 minutes then got everything I wanted and only a couple were within 5-20 minutes of what times I wanted. Of course it did take about 40minutes to book everything over the phone.
I am so happy that is done!

The CM checked on Wishes Dessert Party for my dates but she said it seems they are releasing that around the 90 day mark, which I already knew

Then I had her switch me over to another CM to check on my room requests since they are not showing online or on the confirmation I rec'd from Disney but they were there.

I am a little disappointed that I could not get an 8:00am for Akershus and San Angel there was nothing later than the 1:40 until you got into dinner times. I might try to change those but probally not, if I start tweeking the times I tend to get carried away

I was fumbling for my cc for Akershus, I had no idea I needed it for there It is a two day cancellation policy or they will charge my cc, I haven't told DH I was booking that yet, so I think I might tell a lil white lie and tell him if I cancel it now I will get charged

I want to go there to get into Epcot early and I love the castle atmosphere, plus I always wanted to eat there before it was a princess meal and DH wold always say he didn't like the food choices for lunch or dinner so fine, we will do breakfast

SJS, thanks Akerhaus is on my list so that is one I wouldn't be able to make while commuting. The same with CRT I think. I am sooo anxious. Did you make a backup plan if you couldn't get something? I'm wondering if I should do that.

No I had no backup plan thank goodness I was able to get everything although I did previously when Biergarten was not bookable switch my arrival day lunch at Via Napoli to the dinner slot I had for Biergarten and we were just going to go to Big River Grille at BW on arrival day instead since they take reservations but you need to call them direct, but then when reports started last night on the DIS that Biergarten was once more bookable I just booked there for our arrival day lunch.
I figure if something happens to delay our arrival time we can still do Big River

I'm at it again....... Had Via Napoli on my list for our evening in EP but realized we are doing MM F! the night before. Do I want italian two nights in a row? HMMM, so I'm thinking Garden Grill? Anyone been there? Reviews are mixed. So hard to decide what you'll want to eat 6 months from now, ha ha.

I'm at it again....... Had Via Napoli on my list for our evening in EP but realized we are doing MM F! the night before. Do I want italian two nights in a row? HMMM, so I'm thinking Garden Grill? Anyone been there? Reviews are mixed. So hard to decide what you'll want to eat 6 months from now, ha ha.

I'm looking forward to our dinner at Garden Grill. I've heard mostly good things about it. Plus we will be doing the Behind the Seeds Tour a few hours before we eat there. I thought that would be pretty cool.
