wow, the EMH hours are a little different than what I thought (based on last year). They are actually different almost from week to week a little.

time to re-shuffle my previous preliminary plans!

I am running into the same problem. The EMH differences from last year totally threw off what days I will be visiting each park. :confused3

I have already reworked my days...I think! There will still be lots of tweaking I'm sure, but surprisingly, I am liking these new days better than my original plan!

They are usually more accurate than the WDW site. That is, up until about 6 weeks to a month before, then any changes that WDW makes to the schedule (adding additional hours, parades/fw etc.), usually are NOT reflected on the agent site. But for now- this is said to be the most accurate from my experience.

Thanks, I need to start planning my October trip as well as adrs.:)

OMG finally!!!! Now I'm off to go do some planning...I've been waiting SO long!!! :rotfl::cool1::woohoo:

Looks like the 7 pm closings are in line with the MNSSHP leaked dates. Hope it's all accurate :). Now if only they would offer a GP discount for Oct.....

Fingers crossed!

I don't mean to whine...but I don't really like the way they have evening EMH's arranged the first week of October. :sad2: Why do they have DHS Sunday, MK Monday, and Epcot Tuesday? And then that's it for the week of evening EMH! It's not a big deal...but it's strange...I'm so used to having evening Epcot EMH on a Friday!! :confused3

Do you think going to Epcot Saturday 10/1 or Sunday 10/2 will be a horrible mistake, considering it's the first weekend of Food and Wine? :confused3 Ugh...I gotta go think about this more!

I will be in Epcot on that Friday the 30th and also on Sunday the 2nd. I'm used to summer crowds so I'm not scared! I'm sure it'll be more crowded than usual though...

If I had not changed my trip dates till later in the month I would have been there for opening weekend of F&W also. Normally they do a soft opening of F&W on the Thurday before which is Sept 29 so I had planned on going that night plus during the day on Oct 1 & Oct 2, was going to avoid the evenings.
If you really want to go to F & W I would go

If you have not heard they did away with EMH for AK as of this month.

I was at the last weekend of the Food and Wine festival this past November, and while Friday night was crowded, it was manageable. But Saturday night was crazy! :scared1: WS was soooo packed...I'm not sure I want to deal with that again! But I don't know if I can wait until Tuesday night to be in Epcot at night...Friday 9/30 is out, I'm doing MNSSHP, and Sunday night is out because of DHS magic hours, which I can't miss! So that leaves Saturday night! :confused3 I just don't know what to do! :rotfl:

I wish I could add a day and do the soft opening on Thursday night, that would solve all of my problems! I guess, as of now, I will plan to go on Saturday night, and then I guess I can always change it! The only thing that I don't get is, if Saturday is supposed to be so terrible, why does Touring plans have Epcot as one of the best parks to visit that day, 10/1? :confused3

I did hear about AK and no more EMH! That's disappointing, but then again, AK is my least favorite park, so I doubt I'd go anyway, considering I haven't yet!

I also have to find a day in the beginning of the week to fit in Universal! :scared1:

Touring plans hasn't updated anything for October in a while. My guess would be that as soon as they get ahold of the Official Park Hours that they will make some changes to their recommended parks.

Do you have your selected dates set up on Touring Plans so that you receive an e-mail if they make any changes? I did this awhile back and it's great. I get an e-mail that says October xx, EPCOT is no longer a Best Park. It's now a neutral park. makes changes to my itinerary easy! HTH! :goodvibes

OH YEAH...Touring Plans also has this disclaimer on Park ratings for EPCOT:
NOTE: These estimates only based on wait times. The crowd estimates do NOT factor in the Food & Wine Festival.

The way I understand the crowd level estimates, WS will be packed due to F & W but FW will not be crowded as far as long waits for rides as most people will be heading to F & W.

I saw some pics of the last weekend last year and it was crazy busy in WS

Have to say, I'm a little disappointed with the hours :(. I'm planning to be there the last week of Oct. 10/22 - 10/29. There are a lot of MNSSHP dates, Sun, Tues, Thurs. Fri. I was hoping to do some TS dinners in MK and now I'm guessing I'd need to be done w/ dinner before 7 when the park closes unless I was to buy tickets to MNSSHP more than one night?? HMMM, I need to make some changes to my planned ADR's. Decisions, decisons.....

Thanks! I just assumed, since they knew it was the opening weekend, Epcot would be a "worst" park!

I don't have selected dates set up on TP, I'm kind of new to TP, so I'm still figuring it out! I didn't know you could do that, thanks for the tip! I will definitely set that up! :thumbsup2

LOL...I'm slowly but surely figuring out a plan! :rotfl: That would be great if I ran into you at MNSSHP! Are you dressing up? I might for the 2nd party we go to, but not the one on Friday, since that is our arrival day! :cool1:

Yeah, WS was crazy that weekend! Like I said, Friday wasn't that terrible, but Saturday was a little overwhelming! Although, it was manageable, it's not like we didn't get to do anything that night, we still had a good time (although my DH now says he was miserable and hated every minute of it! :sad2:).

As of now, I'm thinking I will do Epcot during the day on Saturday, that way if it gets too crazy, we can hop to another park. I'm also thinking I will plan for Epcot during the day on Sunday as well, just in case something ends up happening at MK on Saturday for the 40th that I'll want to be there for! I don't know though...this is the hardest Disney trip that I've had to plan for yet! :scared1:

Definitely want to dress up. We are waiting on my 5-year old nephew to decide what he wants to be and see if we can somehow match him. Last year, he went as a hot dog and his mom and dad, as ketchup and mustard! So cute! I'm thinking, if there is nothing I can be to match him, I might be a flower....or a mime! I think I can really get into that one!!

Im confused about the AK EMH..we will be there the 9th thru 16 and its showing AM EMH for AK on 2 days..Did they do away with them altogether or just the night EMH at AK ??? TIA

What is the usual turn around for this agent leaked hours to the official hours on the Disney site?!

Thanks for that tip! I will be sure to go plug in my dates now! ---ETA: where do I find this option?

Feels SOOO good doesn't it!

Pretty sure they will still do morning hours now and there will be no more night hours. I guess at some point they could get rid of all AK EMH hours, if there isn't a great demand for them?
