This happened to me too!! When I went to try and "change" it (by just making another reservation which could cancel the Chef's Menu one) it prompted me saying do you want to cancel your Kouzzina ( NOT Chef's Menu) to make the new Kouzzina reservation. I xed out of it since I figure they must have just renamed it in the system or something.

Good to know i'm not the only one! I was thinking about canceling this one anyway but i'll just keep it for now. Thanks!

tlenzendorf - how scary for you and your daughter! Glad she bounced back so quickly.

So jealous of the great flights!

Glad to hear so many comments on CP - we managed to get an 8:15 res before the park opens that I'm super excited for! I've never done a CM before so I'm not sure what to expect. We are also doing Chef Mickey and Tusker House but thinking about cancelling one of those. It seems like it might be too much.

Purchased our PhotoPass today. Not exactly sure how it works - 1 thread said to use what they send you because if they know you prepaid you'll get better pictures, but another said don't use it because it activates the account and you'll only get 30 days from the first day of vacation.

I didn't necessarily want to take the kids out of school on the 21st, but flight prices and times really dictated our trip. Plus we wanted max park time since this is supposedly our last trip in awhile. Which is what we said in 2009, then Brent and I went last year scouting for this years trip... plus we now have those flight credits to use

We are like you that not driving is part of our vacation, but we figured for the huge difference in price we would do Tampa instead. We already have the drive to/from MKE from Madison, doing Chicago was further than we wanted. Unless we REALLY have to use it, the car will sit for the entire trip like it did in 2009 :) I also got a restaurant.com certificate from Giordano's, we fly in during rush hour. So we will have dinner in Tampa, stop at a grocery store and then drive in.

Totally hear ya! We considered Tampa but I wasn't crazy about the flights and the price from MDW was good. I could get a free car rental with Hilton Honors points but I like to use those for hotel nights as it is a better deal. Since my sister moved back into my parents house several years ago :sad2: there is no room for us to stay so we always need a hotel room while visiting(in SC). HH pts work out great for those visits!

I feel bad for ya'll that you have extended driving on both ends of your flights. Our drive to MDW will suck cuz Friday rush hours are nutso but we aren't in any hurry Fri evening so it will work out nicely.

I wish some kind of discount for Oct would hurry up already! I am getting tired of worrying that we will have to cancel and rebook a Wash DC vacay for cheaper. sigh....it's a budget WDW vacay or nada for October. Kids are really hoping for WDW but DH is such a downer(as usual) and would rather save the money and stay home. He is always a drag on vacation plans until we get there and once enjoying a drink at the pool, he is a WDW cheerleader--LOL:cheer2:

Not to hi-jack, but does anyone know which of the All-Stars resorts is first on the bus routes for returning from parks? We stayed at the Movies last December and it seemed like we were always the last resort let off, out of all the all-star resorts :scared1:

Sports is first for pick up and drop off.

I couldn't sleep, so I am working on the list now. Sorry I haven't updated it. Life happens and I have been busy. I will post when it is updated. Love you all for being so patient with me.

The list is updated as of now. :cool1: Please check your info, if it is not correct, please PM me and I will fix it.

:welcome: to all the newbies. I apologize for taking so long getting your info up to date. Life happens. Pull up a chair and get to know these wonderful people on the this thread (that is if you haven't already done so).

As for me, been busy as always. DS turned 11 Thursday! He's not my baby anymore.:sad1: And my sweet in laws visited, plus had to work and clean house. I loathe cleaning. I did take the kids to see the last Harry Potter movie to celebrate ds's birthday. If you have not seen it yet, go see it. It is the best one out of all the HP movies. I can't believe October is almost here! I am getting excited.

Since I have to work tonight, I better go wash some scrubs to wear this weekend. Hopefully I will be back to check on everyone this weekend.

Finally decided on Oct 18th for MNSSHP. Bought my tickets and am getting rather excited. Time to work on tie dye shirts, and Halloween costumes. DD wants to go as a fairy, but not sure about the rest of us yet.

I know this has probably been asked, but can't remember and I don't want to go through the 140 pgs of posts to find out.

What are you planning to be on your MNSSHP night?

Me - probably wear one of my Mickey Mouse Scrubs and go as Mickey's personal nurse.

DS - wants to be a pirate

DD - wants to be Rapunzel (that is if the BBB has the costume)

I've been going back and forth on costumes, but we have decided against them. DBF wasn't too thrilled with the idea, and it just seems silly to waste precious luggage space (weight limit!!) on costumes. We'll be enjoying everyone else's creative costumes and will probably get the MNSSHP t-shirts to wear :goodvibes

Still not 100% sure on the costumes, but DD wants to go as a fairy. So I'm thinking maybe DS as Peter Pan and DH and myself as pirates.

We are doing 'lite' costumes. I think it will be too hot for masks and stuff, so DD is going to get Piglet ears and pink stripped shirt (found one that is pink on pink on eBay), I'm going to be Eeyore - the ears, tail and shirt, DS is going to be Indiana Jones - hat, whip, similar clothes but not the jacket; DH probably won't participate, but I could probably convince him to get a shirt. My mom is also going and I don't know if she'll do anything.

I'm getting so excited and I still have over 2 months to go!:dance3:

have a great time in Myrtle Beach! love it there!

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for me? This is our first time.....

I am sorry I asked what you all had to do, after reading your lists I have added several more things to mine! :lmao:

HaHa - This made me laugh cuz I know that feeling!!:rotfl:

We are flying out 10/22 from MDW on a nonstop getting into MCO around 2:10ish I think. I didn't want to take the kids out of school on Friday the 21st and it works out well as we will drive down to Chicago Friday after school is dismissed. Eat dinner along the way. Then do a Sleep/Park/Fly for only about $40-50 more than parking at MKE anyway. It will be pretty relaxed on travel day using the shuttle to MDW. We are returning on 10/29 on a one-stop flight(no plane change) goes MCO-GSP-MDW. Sat flights were way cheaper than the Sunday flights.

I thought about Tampa but would much rather have the "annoyance" travel before our flight than renting a car in Tampa to drive to WDW. We like the feeling that vacation starts when we arrive at the airport. We don't rent a car for WDW and "not driving" is part of our vacation...LOL:goodvibes

Sounds like an excellent plan!
And I agree with you that "not driving" is part of our vacation! Gotta love free ME! :thumbsup2

What time do you fly out on 10/29? Our AirTran flight departs MCO at 8pm so we'll probably need to catch ME around 5pm.

We are like you that not driving is part of our vacation, but we figured for the huge difference in price we would do Tampa instead. Can I give you MY grocery list too?
JK!!:rotfl2: We plan on ordering from Garden Grocer.

She is totally fine today! Thanks for asking! Surprisingly just a touch of nose swelling, but not a single bruise. Kids are amazing.

Hapy to hear she's OK!:cutie:

Awesome job Shann!:disrocks:

Finally decided on Oct 18th for MNSSHP. Bought my tickets and am getting rather excited. Time to work on tie dye shirts, and Halloween costumes.

My family has done the tie-dye Mickey-head tshirts for the past 2 years now. It is SO fun and amazing because EVERYONE notices you and comments on your shirts!

We like that we don't have to ever drive a car for a Disney vacation once we get to the airport, but one thing I would like is to get to a grocery store without paying for delivery, so jealous there for sure! It's a nice benefit.

Never eaten at any of them, so glad to hear they are good. :goodvibes We're bringing the kids this trip so we're eating far more buffet/character meals than I'd prefer, but they will be happy. :cloud9:

As to Le Cellier, I made that reservation at my 180 days. :)

I love CP for all meals and we're doing 1900 PF this time for the first time for dinner, but I hear rave reviews for the characters all the time for that place. I'm looking foward to it!! :thumbsup2

I agree that you will love 1900 PF and Crystal Palace! 1900 PF was my absolute favorite and we were there with no kids last time :upsidedow

So, so glad to hear DD is doing well!!! :woohoo: I was thinking about her and her poor little nose!!!

You could take the ferry, or depending on IF the monorail is running you could potentially take that. Then yes, you could take the bus back to CBR from MK.

The ferry will be running for sure, but the monorail is iffy with them shutting it down for EMH. It's still a question, that I know, if it'll be up for parties. The other option would be to walk over to the TTC and take the bus from there. The TTC is right next to the Poly so it's a short walk!

FINALLY at the 100 day mark today! Woohoo!

:banana::banana:

I know this has probably been asked, but can't remember and I don't want to go through the 140 pgs of posts to find out.

What are you planning to be on your MNSSHP night?

I'm from Philly and DH is from North Jersey, so I want to go as a Phillies fan with my arm in a sling and he as a Mets fan with a black eye. Get it??? :lmao: No one likes the Mets anyway! :rotfl:

DD has been back and forth between every princess you can imagine. It really depends on the latest flavor as we get closer. I would bet it'll be either Ariel or Aurora.

Will be at the BCV on Oct. 16-22 with my hubby, my sons family and my DIL's sister... Should be fun with 2 toddlers in tow:scared1:
thanks for the thread
Eileen

Sure, give me your grocery lists, I'll only charge $5 for delivery :lmao:
If we had room in the car I would for sure pick up stuff for everyone. We have a full size car rental, so I'm worried about fitting our own stuff in :upsidedow One of the kids may have to ride on the roof :rolleyes1

Too bad you have all girls. If you had a boy, I'd say put him up there! Boys like that kind of stuff! :rotfl2: Maybe you an put DBF up there??? :lmao:

Hi guys. I posted once earlier in the thread and have been reading since. We are going in October but hadn't booked yet. I was waiting to see if any deals would come out (we are FL residents) but they haven't yet. I didn't want the hotel we wanted to fill up so I went ahead and booked it this morning, very excited!

We are doing the French Quarter. :) We are also doing Tables in Wonderland this time for the first time instead of the dining plan. DH wanted a more "go with the flow" vacation so we made a few ADRS, basically one for each day or so, and then the rest we will fill in as we go, probably counter service.

Hoping I can be more active in this thread now that we are officially booked! :)

If we do MNSSHP we will do it Friday 10/21 as our Grand Finally! Hoping we can get Military Discount tickets for then or we most likely won't do it. We did it once before several years ago and it was fun, but not worth paying full price for us. We are not really costume people so a Halloween shirt is the most we will do if we go!
