Please don't flame me on this post: DD is allergic to nuts and seeds so I have been racking my brain on a quick energy boost for her (the rest of the family loves trail mix). She loves hard boilled eggs.

What I am wondering is how wrong would it be for me to leave our morning brunch with an extra egg in our snack bag?

I have been trying to figure out how to bring them from home but sitting in an airplane for more the four hours makes my stomach turn. If anybody else has any ideas that would be also be great.

Sure, give me your grocery lists, I'll only charge $5 for delivery :lmao:
If we had room in the car I would for sure pick up stuff for everyone. We have a full size car rental, so I'm worried about fitting our own stuff in :upsidedow One of the kids may have to ride on the roof :rolleyes1

Shoot! If you had a bigger car, I would hire you to come pick us up for our YES class Tuesday morning!:lmao:
As it stands, we plan on getting a taxi since we don't want to risk waiting around for a bus that early in the morning.:sad2:

Too bad you have all girls. If you had a boy, I'd say put him up there! Boys like that kind of stuff! :rotfl2: Maybe you an put DBF up there??? :lmao:

Oh yeah! Car-surfing!!:hippie:

DS has decided to be a pirate again. I got him a super cheap one piece pirate costume last year that's pretty thin, so it kept him cool. He got a POTC sword as a souvenir last year and a new pirate hat in Nassau, so if his costume still fits we are all set. If not, it was only $10 so I will just order another one! I have a black tshirt with a skull and crossbones that I am going to wear again to go with his theme.

On another note, we have started making preparations for what we will do if free dining isn't offered. I am already signed up for a fridge swap, so we will probably do a GG order. I have 3 ADR's on 3 different days for sit down meals, so that will help, I would have been paying OOP for those anyways, so I will keep them. I am having a hard time coming up with stuff for DS to eat for lunches in the parks. He is 3, and he hasn't really gotten into sandwiches yet. Breakfast is easy because he barely eats it now, so some fruit loops and raisen and he's good to go. We will just do CS dinners, and snacks will be easy to pack.

I know, we are a little worried about that, too! We are even staying at AKL, I wish they had a different transportation option to AK being a deluxe. I want an easy in and out since it was supposed to be our relax/resort day with MNSSHP plans for that night. We are planning on driving, but I'm worried about the lot not being open :sad2:

I know this has probably been asked, but can't remember and I don't want to go through the 140 pgs of posts to find out.

What are you planning to be on your MNSSHP night?

Me - probably wear one of my Mickey Mouse Scrubs and go as Mickey's personal nurse.

DS - wants to be a pirate

DD - wants to be Rapunzel (that is if the BBB has the costume)

Since DS and DD are going to be Woody and Jessie, I wanted DH and I to do something from Toy Story. I thought about Mr and Mrs. Potato Head, but thought that would be too cumbersome to wear on rides. Currently, I'm trying to come up with a Toy Story Barbie costume (legwarmers and all). Not sure if DH will be Ken or if he'll just get a Buzz costume tee. I hope I can pull it all together. I've never been a blonde before!:rotfl:

Why would someone flame you for this post? I don't see anything wrong with it. :)

This is a flame free thread and I my hope is that it stays that way. to you and I hope someone answers your question. As for me, I have no clue how to keep boiled eggs fresh during your flight and while in the parks.

They have chicken breast nuggets at many places and also pizzas that you could cut into small pieces. Also Columbia Harbor house has fish fillets(like Cat. D's or Long John Silver). It's so sad they don't have more little kid friendly options at CS places.:sad2:

No flames here, but I'd NOT post this on the dining board. :goodvibes

You do know that you can get hard boiled eggs at many of the counter service locations in the refrigerated sections, right? IIRC, they come in packs of 2. I'd personally do that before swiping one from your brunch, just so it's not an issue, kwim? :)

I would offer to boil some eggs for you (we are in a 1BR Villa at BLT) - but I see you get in a couple days before me. If you still need some after the 22nd - just let me know! I'll be getting a couple dozen eggs from Garden Grocer anyway.

I thought I remember reading a discussion about this somewhere? Perhaps on the YES thread? They were talking about the parking lot hours in relation to the Park hours. Buses are allowed in even if the lot is not open - but there is NO WAY I would rely on the bus coming all the way from BLT!

Too cute!:goodvibes

P.S. The pics in your signature are adorable, but am I the only one who can't see all of them? I can only see the tops of heads in the 2nd row of pics. :confused3

No flames here either. I had grabbed an apple and didn't get around to eating it at a breakfast buffet one day. The server said they would have to toss it even though I didn't touch it, so take it with. Maybe just put one on your plate and ask at the end of your meal? They may even bag it up for you :)

Thank you:hug: There is only 4 pics (one row). If you are seeing more than 4, they don't belong to me. LOL!

Edit: Do you have your screen maximized? I just minimized my screen and my head was cutoff and in a 2nd row. So I stand corrected, if you see a 2nd row, it DOES belong to me. LOL!

Sports is first for pick up and drop off.
Hey--long time since I said Hi as I haven't been hanging on the US/IOA boards lately. Since Oct is a shorter budget trip we are skipping the dark side....but TOTALLY planning a dark side only trip in the next 2 yrs cuz we just LOVE PBH and would love to stay there for an extended vacay to soak up the atmosphere and chow down on the yummy food...and kids(and DH) are in need of a Simpsons fix:rotfl2:

As for me, been busy as always. DS turned 11 Thursday! He's not my baby anymore.:sad1: .
WOW...lots of our kids had birthdays last week. My oldest DD turned 13 on Saturday the 16th. We celebrated last Wed w/a Mommy-Daughter day. Went shopping at the mall, ate lunch, then took her for her first spa day with a much needed facial(for her acne breakouts) and a pedicure. She was in heaven:cloud9:

Cute costume idea! We are going as either the "Black-Eyed Ps" (white t-shirts with a huge letter P and one eye "blackened." OR We will just do matching fun Disney Halloween T-Shirts TBD. I don't want cumbersome costumes for the luggage or to get in the way rides.

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for me? This is our first time.....

I actually lived in Myrtle Beach for 5 years back in the late 80s early 90s. It has changed SO MUCH! We have visited a few times in the past 10 years when going to SC to see family. You must do some fun mini-golf while there. So many great "courses" to choose from. Very touristy but so fun! I love Jungle/Lagoon. it's a classic for me and double the fun. Lots of great shopping/dining complexes in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. Highly reccomend any seafood restaurant in Murrels Inlet(sp?) and Surfside beach has a really nice pier.

Where are you staying??

Sounds like an excellent plan!
And I agree with you that "not driving" is part of our vacation! Gotta love free ME! :thumbsup2 ABSOLUTELY!! AMEN!!

What time do you fly out on 10/29? Our AirTran flight departs MCO at 8pm so we'll probably need to catch ME around 5pm.

We fly out around 11:40am from MCO so we will be leaving the resort on ME after breakfast.

Can I give you MY grocery list too?
JK!!:rotfl2: We plan on ordering from Garden Grocer.
HAHAHA I was thinking the EXACT same thing when I read her post.

I love CP for all meals and we're doing 1900 PF this time for the first time for dinner, but I hear rave reviews for the characters all the time for that place. I'm looking foward to it!! :thumbsup2
Love the food at 1900PF. This and Cape May seafood buffet are the best buffets on property IMO.

from Philly and DH is from North Jersey, so I want to go as a Phillies fan with my arm in a sling and he as a Mets fan with a black eye. Get it??? :lmao: No one likes the Mets anyway! :rotfl:

Cute idea! My Dad was from Edystone(in the Philly burbs) so we spent many vacays up there. Great memories of Phillies games. There was always someone selling soft pretzels on EVERY corner.MMmmm....pretzels and mustard....

I feel ur pain! DD10 is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, and soy. It can be so much easier to just bring along a snack that you KNOW is safe. I agree with other posters about buying the boiled eggs in the resort grab-n-go. They will be cold and last much longer in your park bag. We usually bring along some ziploc bags and a small soft-sided insulated lunch bag. I put yogurt cups in the bag for DD and ice from the resort ice machine in the ziplocs to keep the yogurt cool longer in the parks.

no i didnt know that, that is probably what we will do if she wants some, I know she will eat atleast one at breakfast.

what a wonderful thing to volunteer for her, but if she wants some i will purchase them from the resort shop.

srauchbauer~I personally don't see anything wrong with taking 1 egg from a buffet, after all how much food do people get that they end up being too full to eat? But if it makes you feel better, I would just buy them at the snack places. No flaming here!!!

Crazy Kanga~ I am more worried about what kind of food I can take into the park from GG for him. I will be fine with PB&J but thus far, he hasn't proved to be a sandwich eating kid. I do wish they had more diverse options at CS places for kids, but on the upside kids CS meals are pretty cheap, so even if I do have to buy him lunch a couple times, it won't break the bank!

The list is up to date as of now. :cool1: Again, please check it to make sure your info is correct. If it is not correct, just PM me and I will fix it next week.

I am off to take a nap, have to work tonight, tomorrow night, and I am Charge nurse Saturday night. See you all next week.

Miss you all! Till next week, night night.

Another one that thinks it wouldn't be a big deal to take an egg. I mean, I wouldn't load up on bagels and fill up bottles of juice to sneak out but 1 egg? No biggie. But it is good to know that they sell them at CS.

This thread is moving today! Getting excited!!!!

Our trip is officially booked for POR 10/7-10/15/2011!

I just made dining ressies for Kouzzina. When I go online and review all my dining ressies, it doesn't say Kouzzina. It says "Chef's Menu at CoraNation Room" and when I click on that name it takes me here: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/cora-nation-room/. Says $60 per person and $$$$! Never even knew there was a special room at Kouzzina. But on my reservation page, when I click "view details" for that reservation, it shows Kouzzina. :confused3

Hi guys. I posted once earlier in the thread and have been reading since. We are going in October but hadn't booked yet. I was waiting to see if any deals would come out (we are FL residents) but they haven't yet. I didn't want the hotel we wanted to fill up so I went ahead and booked it this morning, very excited!

We are doing the French Quarter. :) We are also doing Tables in Wonderland this time for the first time instead of the dining plan. DH wanted a more "go with the flow" vacation so we made a few ADRS, basically one for each day or so, and then the rest we will fill in as we go, probably counter service.

Hoping I can be more active in this thread now that we are officially booked! :)

:banana::cheer2::banana: Congrats on booking!!!

Counter service is an option, but I really don't see the big deal of taking one hb egg with you. Just put it on your plate when you make your final rounds at brunch and then tell the server you'd like to take it to munch on the road rather than leave it. They can't serve it elsewhere, like Tricia said.

Ooh, Barbie and Ken would be fun! I hope your DH will dress as Ken!! Maybe you can slick his hair over like Ken and give him a cool 70s disco outfit? :lmao: You can even dress him as surfer Ken so it's a little more cool. Just make sure he's got the hair!! :cool2:
