Hey Oct DISers, I really need to catch up on this thread ..... seems a lot has been going on since I last checked in.

18 days to go for us! I have no clue why but I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed now that we are getting closer to time. I think it's because I really haven't had much time lately to sit and "plan" like I had been doing before - we went out of town for labor day, plus kids starting back to school (we home school and have had a lot going on with extra curricular activities & field trips). I'm starting to question the timing on some of my ADR's ...... wondering if I am planning to much or to little. Just thinking about all the last minutes things that I need to do, ugh!

On the bright side, time seems to be going by fast ..... we will be there before you know it.

We all feel this overwhelming feeling. All your hard work will pay off at the end. I think the 2 week mark is always hard. Feel like you should be doing something, but there isn't really anything to do. You'll get through it with a little help from your friends

A friend of mine from college was killed last night in a car accident..so sad he was 29 and he has 2 small children...sad how life can be over in a blink of an eye..My thoughts and prayers are with his family I can't imagine what they are going through...but I know that everything happens for a reason...I was just shocked and in a state of disbelief so I apologize for throwing this at you guys....

We will be going on a Land/Sea cruise for our honeymoon from the 15th to the 22nd.

Today I had one of those 'moments'. The classical radio station was playing an instrumental of 'Once Upon a Dream' and I just started giggling uncontrollably and getting watery-eyed. I felt like a madwoman! Maybe the wedding plans are stressing me out, eh?

Soooo excited to go back and stand in the middle of Magic Kingdom!

I never take this for granted. Always remember never go to bed angry or ever walk out of the house angry. You never know when that moment will be your last.

This is EXACTLY it at the 2 week mark! A perfect summation

I have a lot of stuff in a "staging" area in one of my bedrooms with the door shut. Door has to be closed because if my dog sees me packing he will ! So.....I have everything needed then I put everything together the night before I leave because at that time he is staying at my parents (he goes there every day for day care anyway)

I'm at the 3 week mark. Today's goal: work on shirts, autograph book, & planner. I'm free all day....guess I better get going!

We are going Oct 23-31 !! Staying a FW. Going are: me, DH, DD(9), DS(17), my mom. Also meeting us there... but staying off site are my in-laws. We are doing AK, EP and MNSSHP... and for the first time adding Universal Islands of Ad. (in place of MGM) I can't get any work done because I'm too excited to think about anything other than our trip!!!! Thanks to this board, I've had this best time putting together our Disney binder.

On topic: I'm still up in the air as to whether or not I'm going to make my own treat bag or not. I'm an adult so I'm not sure I wanna hog extra candy if mine ends up slightly bigger than what they give you. Any thoughts?

so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. i too lost a friend at 29 this year of a brain annurysim(sp?). so tragic.

we leave in two weeks today. we land at 2:13 pm...i cannot wait, after the year we've had it's going to be awesome!

Ammeador so sorry to hear of your loss. SO unfair.
My best friend was killed 18 months ago on her way home for the weekend in a car crash. She was almost 28 and was teaching 3 hours out of town. Would drive in on Fri to be with her FH. My oldest and her were very close. She was her godmom and it has been a hard year and a half for us and her family and everyone who loved her. My 7 year old really went on an emotional road in the months that came after her death. Still having a lot of issues with it and speaking to a professional. Half the reason for this first trip to Disney for my family is to have some kid fun It is nice having something to look forward 2 and forgot a little just how sad some other things are in our lives. Sorry you lost a friend.

Regarding not receiving my vouchers/luggage tags:

My check in date is 10/4 and I haven't received my packet of vouchers or luggage tags for the trip.
For those who have received their vouchers (the book with the luggage tags, planet hollywood etc.) when is your check in date? I really want this book before I get there so I can use the luggage tags.

I got my tags like I said but there are no vouchers...? Does that come to us also with the tags or a second mailing? Or do I get it when I get there?
I got a magical express book with our flight stuff wrote on it and the yellow tags. I read somewhere about a mini golf something and also the Planet Hollywood. Curious...
