OMG so excited!!! I got airfare this morning for our flight back at a great price, at the time we wanted, and for the airport we wanted. And on top of all that we got almost 2 whole extra days at WDW for @ $200 more!!! Now the only catch is to get our extra night at POR with FD. We could only get a room only discount but I know that night has been popping up for FD availability over the last few weeks. I know I will get it if I persist.
Yay! It always feels awesome to score that perfect flight at the perfect price. And I'm jealous you added on 2 days for $200 that's an amazing deal!
My extra three nights set me back more than double that, but the idea of moving off-site for those last few nights just wasn't as exciting as AKV ...
Ok here is a good problem to have. In short because of some health issues I've adjusted my diet. And although the scale isn't showing any big deal, the clothes are fitting different. So as much as I joked about practice packing, I might just have to do that. I have a box of "if I just lose a little weight" clothes that I'm going to have to try on to see how they fit. And if they are close, I might just have to be hopeful and put them in the Disney suitcase. Now won't that be fun if they actually fit when I go to give the suitcase it's final zip.
For those off on one of those last days before school starts outings, Enjoy!!!
They grow up very fast and before you know you'll be packing them up for college.
When my son was 3 I decided I needed to lose the baby weight and used a personal trainer for a few months. He told me the best reflection of your health is not your weight but when your clothes fit well and you start dropping sizes, and since then I've never looked at a scale.
This past January I realized my face was getting rounder than I like it to be again, so went on a thousand-calorie-a-day diet for four months and went from my size 10's fitting tight to my size 8's being loose, and have considered picking up a size six or two (haven't committed to that yet, now that my DH is cooking I'll probably stay around an 8). Its really about liking what you see in the mirror in the morning. (In my case I was also hoping to get my DH to give up soda since he's borderline type-II diabetic; it didn't work, he just exercises instead.)
So yay for clothes fitting better! Love the idea of having an incentive of the next size down in your suitcase ... maybe I should buy some really fabulous size six jeans, keep the receipts, and put them in my suitcase as incentive ...
My DS7 started school last week, and I'm going stir crazy since I haven't had a vacation since December, not even a long weekend away due to starting a new job (my usual M.O. is three trips a year, plus some long weekends). Can't wait for November to get here!
I can wait on college years, though, I'm really enjoying the elementary school years and want to forestall the crazy teenage-dom as long as I can ...
I'm thinking you already know that none of the restaurants in Epcot will be open at 6am, especially since you can't even get in the park at that hour. I'd say that any Table Service at YC/BC or Boardwalk would also be closed but you might find the quick service open. And perhaps Boardwalk Bakery.
Found out Boardwalk Bakery is open at 6:30, which is good. It'll be 3:30 according to our West Coast body clocks so we may not even be hungry (it kind of depends on what dinner we grab at LAX on our layover the previous night), which would be good since I really want to get waffles at Sunshine Seasons when it opens (I think at 9?). I knew Epcot wouldn't be open, but am not familiar with the Swolphin offerings or really anything other than the BWV so was hoping people would have suggestions on the resort-ey stuff.
Also found out from someone on the FB group that there are a few 24 hour eateries in the World, one is at the GF, not sure where the others are yet ... must research!
It takes a lot of practice and patience to not be at each other's throat. (We just had a couple yesterday and today that we both had to stop and breathe) I think for us we took our vows very serious and added the spiritual component to the marriage which made it hard to not work hard. For me too I took a good hard look at myself and said "could I be married to me? Maybe I can over look some of his "stuff" since he over looks mine."
I soooooo can't wait. We really need some down time just us.
That's some awesome advice. I hope we're as happy at 25 years as you seem to be. I know I couldn't be married to myself, since we tried living with my folks for a few months while waiting for our house to be ready and it struck me how much I am my father's daughter which is why we rub each other the wrong way when we live together as adults (don't get me wrong, I love him, I just am too much like him to be able to stand being under one roof!

). I think it gave my DH a lot of insight into living with me from how my mom handles him though.
The statistical curve for divorce drops significantly at 7 years ... for some reason I thought that meant it would be easier after 7 years, but we're at 8 now and if anything its harder than some of the previous years were. Peaks and troughs, I guess. Hopefully we'll get some kid-free Disney time in the next years to help make it easier ...
