Just successfully got a night added to my Free Dining package. Been calling almost every day for weeks! I was so excited I forgot to cancel my RO res!

However, I then realized I did not receive any email confirmation. Should I have? Now, I'm a little nervous about cancelling my RO until I have something in writing!! It is showing up on MDE, but we all know how fast that can change!

Also, will I get a new booklet with the arcade coupons, DQ admission coupons, etc or will the ones I already have work? I have 2 sets of magic bands, too. Should I toss one set? Does it even matter which set? I've heard they are interchangeable. I'm suddenly confused.....and overwhelmed!

Personal opinion:
Don't toss anything. Bring them all with you to the resort and figure it out there. With your luck you will toss something and then have a big deal thing to fix it.

As far as the RO and then the email.......The email when something changes can take up to 24 hours to show up. IF it's in MDE then it should be ok. Since you have 2 weeks, give it the time to get the email and then call and make sure the RO didn't get cancelled when you did the FD.
Did you do it online or through a CM?

Such and intensive computer system has to catch up to itself, I guess.
I wonder if there are a lot of databases that get updated before it gets to the email part or something.
I assume if you talked to the CM you got a confirmation # or you would see it in MDE anyway.

That's great! Don't toss either set of magic bands, they both should work since they just link to your account and your account will have the new information. If you have them both then if you lose one you have a non-gray backup.

If it is showing up in MDE you should be fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Take a screen shot if it makes you feel better.

Happy Saturday everyone

Hope everyones last minute plans are coming together. Doing now then some cleaning. I'm saving tomorrow for packing already have our lists made just have to decide how many suitcases and what goes where.

Packing is one of those things where I'm excited to do it but glad when it's done

Only one more work day on Monday and 4 more sleeps till we are headed to Disney

I just got an e-mail to customize magic bands and confirm our home address. We received the magic bands WEEKS ago! Disney does not have their act together, YIKES!

It's showing rain the 11/16 our Epcot day but weather keeps changing I am not going to let it get me down. I will pack the rain ponchos and stroller rain protectors

Okay so how many suitcases are you packing? We are a family of 6 going for 8 days and I packed 5 suitcases! One suitcase was filled with "tinkerbell presents" haha.

We are a family of four and I'm going to squeeze everything in two suit cases.

I packed a few things last night, one being our swim suits. Then the forecasted temps went down, I'm rushing upstairs to put swimsuits back in closet so maybe temp will go up.

I hope swimming will be possible I have a two year old who loves to swim and will throw a fit if he sees the pool and we don't take a dip.

I'd rather it too cold than too hot, I just want to be sure so I'm packed right.

I don't care about the temps as long as the rain stays away, we will even swim if it is it the 60's.

OK I laughed out loud at your hubby fitting time for laundry in when that is not part of your itinerary. I actually told the kids that 5 days of clothes was enough since we have a washer/dryer in our room, but having different clothes for each day does make sorting the pictures out easier. You will have to come over to my villa and and do laundry while we sit on the balcony and have wine. We are coming back to the resort early on the 17th

I'm fine if it is cooler but I know DS7 wants to go swimming and there is no way I'm going in a pool if it is cold!

I would prefer a chill to too hot too. After doing September I am looking forward to less humidity and heat.

We'll swim in the 70s for sure. We went in February one year and swam when it was apparently a 'cold snap'

Hmmm. This laundry and wine thing does sound lovely, where are you staying again Sheilby? You might end up with quite a few unexpected visitors!
Since I've never used the laundry smilie, and figuring I don't plan on airing out any dirty laundry on the DISboards, I may as well use it now.

Good news this morning for all going in same time frame as me - the weather is looking nicer again. Now, if only it would warm up more on our arrival day since I was counting on that as being one of the days DGS would enjoy the pool slide. Since our plane doesn't arrive until around 2:45 pm our plans are to just spend arrival late afternoon/evening at our resort.

Yay! I just checked. At least there is sun now. Yesterday it said cloudy every day of my trip! And the rain is now a little less.

I noticed that too, now our HS day isn't supposed to have thunderstorms, hope it stays that way. That is the one day I'd like it to be colder so we could bundle up a bit for our stroll through the Osborne lights.

Make sure you don't go over the weight limit, the extra weight charge is usually more expensive than an additional bag fee.

I am fine with sweating while I see the lights. I'll have my cold Christmas in December. I don't need two.

Yes, I know. I've done that before.Coming home from a (before married) tour of Europe! I think it was $50 more. I crammed so much into my carryon at the airport to avoid that fee, but I did do it! My carry on was pretty heavy after switching stuff around....

Yes, my husband doesn't see much an advantage to ME because, well, he's cheap! Wish we had free checked luggage. I'm worried about lugging the 3 carry ons through the airport!

Congratulations in finally getting the package you were working for! A regular RO reservation incurs a cancellation fee if not cancelled 5 days before arrival. If I were in your position I would call Reservations again and have them double check your current package and then ask them to cancel your room only reservation. The credit for the deposit you paid on that will be refunded to your credit card within 5 to 7 business days.

When people have had split stays in the past they received multiple sets of Magic Bands and could use them interchangeably. I don't know if that will be the case when you cancel your RO night. You could check to see your Magic Bands under MDE and see if they are both active after canceling the RO.

I LOVE it!!! People are starting to count by sleeps.

I have 7 sleeps to go.
Although normally I would be saying 6 days and a sleep so I feel like that would lengthen the wait. Hmmmm have to think about that one.
And then again if the week allows me to have a nap.....
