Hello! This is my first post on any discussion board EVER!! I have been following these posts for weeks but just figured out how to post! So excited for a trip Nov 26-Dec 1 at the Wilderness Lodge. We are 62 (almost 61!) days out and I still have no action for magic bands, fast pass plus, etc. reservations are linked, but where is this modify check-in people keep referencing? I don't want to miss my opportunity to book the FPP because my two children have autism and with the end of the GAC I'm trying hard to be positive and line things up. Any help would be appreciated-I'm a DisBoard virgin!

Welcome. Once you hit 60 days you will be able to do online check-in and after that you would see the modify check-in button. However, since they have now added November, you will probably be able to do your bands and FPs once you hit 60 days even without modifying anything. We had to do it because we checked in before they added it.

The GAC isn't really ending, it is just changing. You should still be able to be accommodated. You just may need to explain how things will work to your kids in advance so they are prepared. Most likely you will be given a time to return to the ride and get to use it like a fastpass so that you don't have to stand on the actual line. You can keep them busy doing something else until your time comes up. Unfortunately you are going at an extremely busy time so you will have to be prepared for that.

We are only doing one day at HS too, so yes, an extra one there would be helpful too. Which days are you doing what?

I have:

11/13 arrive early afternoon, visit Epcot until close
11/14 visit the darkside (a/k/a Wizarding World of Harry Potter)
11/15 MK until the party and then tour the nearby resorts
11/16 AK then DTD that night
11/17 Epcot until early evening then probably go back to resort to watch a movie under the stars.
11/18 HS for the whole day
11/19 MK for the whole day (but may take an afternoon break for swimming at the resort depending on weather and mood)
11/20 Epcot until we leave for airport in the late afternoon

I think your other two questions were answered earlier. But I don't want you to worry about the new version of the GAC; I do believe Disney will do whatever they can to accommodate the people that really need them.


Oh! And whoever asked about the magic bands picture - I'll add one to the 2nd post later this morning. And, once mine come in, I'll post a pic.

I did a blend of all each our names and a Disney character. Hopefully the kids like them. I also asked them all their 2 (since we will be getting 2 sets of bands) favorite colors (without telling them why) and the one was off from what I predicted. Looks like I will be getting.... blue, whatever I choose as my second will be a duplicate so I guess that doesn't matter. I'm thinking red or pink.
I'd like one more at MK also. Actually and extra for HS would be as well since we only have one day there and I want to get in as much as possible.

We gor 2 sets of bands coming we did red for me green for hi. Those are our Xmas bands.. Then we got pink and blue

How funny, well we will probably run into each other on one of the 5 days we overlap. We will be watching Holiday Wishes from the Poly beach too on the 15th after going to Whispering Canyon Cafe. We originally had dinner plans at The Wave which would have been more convenient but my boys were not thrilled with their food choices so I moved it. We are going to Raglan Road too, but on the 16th.

I decided my days by doing everything the opposite of what I did last time. Last time I was constantly chasing EMH and I paid the price not only in exhaustion, but in more crowded parks especially HS. This time I avoided EMH and tried to use logic. After I found out about the recommended park sites I compared it and was quite pleased. Although I didn't always choose the most recommended park, I didn't choose any of the ones that weren't recommended. Some sites did say that Thursday was the worst day to go to Universal, but that day makes the most sense for us and I've been watching the line apps and Thursdays have not been the days with the longest lines. I think the time of year will help us a lot at that park anyway.

Cute. My hubby and I are boring, we both got blue and just put our names on them.

My kids are excited that I managed to get us Soarin' FPs for right after our dinner at Garden Grill. They get to revolve around a restaurant and then take a flight over California.

I'm sure I'm going to switch somethings around still, we have 2 half days and one full day at Epcot so we really have too many FP's for there considering not many things need FP. I still wish I could change them for more FPs on my MK days.

My DD and I have an "evil" plan with the bands. There are 10 of us going and we think we are going with a Snow White theme. I will have SnowWhite, DH will have CHarming, DD will have EvilQueen and then will assign a dwarf to the remaining 7 people.

I was only able to get Ohana at 9:05 that night and my hubby felt it was too late. I wonder if we will all find each other. We are going to try to get there in time for the EWP but I'm not sure if the timing will work.

Just wanted to share the funny about what DH and I talked about for names on the MBs. LOL Thanks everyone for enjoying our sense of humor on this.

We thought about using twenty and five but that was too boring

Then we got some ideas from my DIS friend
Rhett and Scarlett
Pooh and Tigger

Captain and Teneille
She said we were forbidden to use Dumb and Dumber. Good cause that was out!!!

Then DH went to get me some Cherry Garcia so I thought
Cherie and Garcia

But we had thrown around Husband and Wife and then Mr. & Mrs.

And of course we went into all the other fun couple

Cinderella and Prince Charming
Ozzie and Hariet
Bob and Helen from the Incredibles

and on and on and on.......
2 hours later.....we decided on His and Hers.

If anyone else has fun with names, it would be fun to see them.
But as I realized this morning being such a chatty group and already on page 10 after 48 hours......woah!!!
But reading sure does pass the time faster.

Just booked a trip with my dad a few days ago, would love to get added to the list! 11/3-11/7 at SSR. I'm super excited, but also a bit overwhelmed, I've never had a trip that was booked so close, and we're trying not to over plan this one, as we're mostly going for F&W.

I have to call today to see if they can look up an old ticket's info using the number on the the ticket- we have 2 Hopper Pluses from '99 that we may be able to use depending on how many days/pluses are left. Once we've made a ticket decision, I'll do online check in and hopefully be able to access FP+ and MB. It won't let me do FP+ until we've linked tickets of course, and I'm not sure if once I've checked in I can still add tickets. Don't want to try and then anger the MDE gods!

Hope you feel better soon and that you stay nice and healthy for the trip. I'm thinking I should go get the flu shot for all of us so that we don't tempt the gods. Of course I'm already worrying about a storm keeping us from flying out in time.
