OFFICIAL - NON SPOILER Amazing Race: Unfinished Business Premieres 2/20/11

Rob and Amber? Their Season was won by Danielle and her (frat boy) boyfriend.

I think she was referring to the All-Star AR when Uchenna and Joyce(?) won when Amber and Rob were in the lead and in the last leg the plane came back for Uchenna and his wife and ultimately they won the race and Uchenna performed most of the roadblocks. But the wife pretty much redeemed herself when she shaved her head for the fastpass (or whatever it is called.) His head was already shaved so she had to do it.

They changed the rules for the roadblock in Season 6. So, Chip and Kim won Season 5. With Chip doing 9 of the roadblocks and Kim doing 1. Joyce and Uchenna won Season 7. Joyce did 5 roadblocks and Uchenna did 6.

According to wikipedia, the top 3 teams in Season 5 were male/female teams. And the men did the majority of the roadblocks. No wonder they changed the rules.

1st place Chip 9, Kim 1
2nd place Colin 8, Christie 1
3rd place Brandon 9, Nicole 1

ohhh I see, I forgot that was their original AR for Rob and Amber, then they came back. Uchenna and Joyce were eliminated in the second one because of the plane they took. Sorry.. thank you.

Yes, I remember she shaved her head in India I think it was. Rob and Amber were so close in Puerto Rico. Chip and Kim are always on facebook, they still cool people.

Yep, you are right. Bottom line, I agree with the rules. I think the roadblocks should be divided among the teams.

I wasn't thrilled with this episode. When one team is so far behind, it's not as exciting to watch. I hope it just doesn't drag on for next week and the Goths at least have a chance to be with the pack.

OK, I was so confused at last night's episode.

I thought they stayed at a pit stop for 12 hours? If they check in at 8:44am, they leave at 8:44pm. In Toyko last week, the 1st team to check in, Zev and Justin...you could see it was starting to get dark. it was dusk and the lights were on. As each team arrived, it was darker and darker.

Zev and Justin left at 8:44PM...the last place team left at 12:42AM. Which means they had to have checked in at 12:42PM....is it pitch black at noon time in Tokyo????

This bugged me the entire show. I wish if they change anything, like maybe the teams stayed at the pit stop for 24 hours, they would explain it. But that makes no sense either, because if they waited 24 hours, the light would have been the same leaving as arriving. It was clearly pitch black when they left last night.

Though the pit stops are usually 12 hours, sometimes they are 24 hours.

That's what I mean. Why can't they tell us when it's changed? For years, every time they started to leave from a pit stop, Phil would have a voice over explaining the 12 hour rule. So why not a voice over explaining that for X reason, they are leaving in 24 hours and not 12?

Besides, I don't think it was 24 hours either, it would not have been pitch black when Zev and Justin left, because it wasn't quite dark yet when they arrived.

Is Ron trying to impersonate Homer Simpson? What's with his constant need to chow down?
The eating that the teams do is (usually) edited out. I actually enjoyed this side of Ron last night because (in the first cut), he explained that it was food just like when he was growing up. I would think having the opportunity to eat his comfort food-and taking the time to do so- was the reason that it was shown. And, don't forget, they knew that they were almost 2 hours ahead of the pack. Why not have a meal? Ron and Christina reminded me of the father/daugher who did the beer challenge in season 6-Gus and Hera. :rotfl:

I wondered the same thing. I think it was a couple seasons ago that Phil stopped talking about the mandatory 12 hour rest period.

I think that all teams have to have the same rest time, but maybe the amount of time changes from pit stop to pit stop? I was confused last night, too.

I think the Goths still hav a chance, but only if Vyxin pulls herself together. She was completely falling apart last night.

I thought that was very nice of the Globetrotters last night--clearly, they harbored no ill feelings about the penalty. And they didn't HAVE to help Ron and Christina.

Ron eating last night was hysterical. I'm sure Christina was annoyed, but maybe it will help him, psychologically as well as physically.

I've read that the length of the pit stop varies. Even when Phil used to say it was 12 hours, it could have been 36 or 60 hours, they never tell us what day it is.

It was nice of the Globetrotters to have the bus stop for Ron and Christina. I was going to say I hope R&C realize that having the bus stop for them probably helped them more than the lost waist pack hurt them in the last leg and we don't see any animosity towards the Globetrotters, but honestly, what I really hope is the R&C get eliminated soon so we don't see them at all! :rotfl: Ron is so annoying with his little tantrums.

Zev was cracking us up last night with the charms. :rotfl2:

I hope that the Goths are not eliminated, but I think they will. I really liked them last night even through Vyxen's melt downs :). They were 5 hours behind everyone else and it appeared that they never gave up and I really liked the editing showing them completing their tasks while the other teams were checking in. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them.

I also liked Ron last night but totally annoyed at Christina. If I hear her say "Daddy!" one more time, I'm gonna scream. She seemed to just harass him like a terrier. Maybe his rudeness to her that we have seen in the past is from her harassment of him :confused3.

I forgot to tell you guys what we had for dinner last week. My DH made a dish called okonomiyaki which is like a Japanese savory pancake made from something called a "mountain yam". It's popular in Japan, but hard to find in the US. We had it for the first time in Kyoto and have also had it in Oahu and LA. We made a special trip from Disneyland to have it when we were in LA in December. MY DH did a great job trying to recreate the dish!

Last night we had Yunnan Cross Bridge Rice Noodle Soup. It's essentially cooked and cooled rice noddles and different ingredients in small bowls that the diner can add to the bottom of a soup bowl and top with hot broth. We had chicken, pork, tofu, snap peas, Chinese cabbage, broccoli, rehydrated mushrooms and green onions. My DH and I had chicken broth and my DD had vegetarian broth so the meal worked for all of us.

Ron and Christina both annoy me and they should receive a penalty for not getting on the bus in the proper place. The Goths also should have a penalty for not taking the required flight.

Luke and his mom are still very rude and not likeable.

It was also nice to hear Christina say more than once, she knew it was BE and FT that got the bus driver to stop. These guys saved her and Ron's butts. I don't recall hearing Ron say thanks.

I am really glad, that they are making it tough on these teams the 2nd time around. Love, that they pulled another your still racing pit stop.

It didn't suprise me to see Justin, Zev, BE and FT sharing a taxi. With their friendship, I expected it to happen.

And how cute was the little girl leaning down into BE and FT horn end while they were asking for directions. They seemed in their grove for this leg, until trying to figure out FT's zodiac sign.

Did anybody else catch the local lady getting excited when she spotted Vyxcen and Kent at the Roadblock? Don't know if it was because they just looked so different or if they were recognized by someone who had seen their season of TAR.

Did anybody notice if the double U-turns were blind or if you had to put your picture up as the turnie? I just wonder if Marge and Luke with use it, again.

I'm not really like when there not a eliimantion at the end of the show. That means coming up there will be a double elimantion

That's it! Uchnenna and Joyce!!! Joyce did one Roadblock, and Uchenna did ten or eleven. Thanks, travelbug!

It's time for Ron to exit stage left. He is such a brat. I wonder what they will do about the Goths not catching the required flight.

Yea, Kent and Vyxsin haven't made it to the pit stop yet, so we don't know yet if they will get a penalty for missing the flight. But their mistake cost them so much time, seems like penalty enough.
