OFFICIAL - NON SPOILER Amazing Race: Unfinished Business Premieres 2/20/11

I really want to see Zev and Justin go far.

I love Zev's humor, especially when they were explaining why they chose to do the mosaic.

Uh-oh. Does this mean somebody is going to have to go back to the detour and make things right?

That was kind of rude they left the bag in the tent. I don't think it would have taken that long to drop it off back where they took it.

I think it is a rule that you cannot sabotage another team. I would presume producers include "on accident" issues now.

You cannot check in without your documents and they did not lose them.

In realizing their error, the globe trotters had the opportunity, but chose not to--thus they sabotaged the team.

In another season, a player made a task more complicated for other players who had not yet gotten to it. They received a penalty as well.

Very exciting episode. I do feel bad for the dad and son though. I much prefer when folks cause their own demise. I hate when illness or injury or, in this case, potential hypothermia are responsible. :(

Exactly what happened w/ the fanny pack? I missed that part. Did the trotters really move it on purpose? Did they get confused which pack was theirs?

The Globetrotters saw the pack on the rocks, they grabbed it thinking it had fallen out of their bigger backpack. When they got to the changing area, they realized it was not their pack, and put it with Ron's clothes. Meanwhile, Ron and Christina are running around looking for it because she knew where she had left it, and they were near panic, thinking someone had taken it. When they decided it was a lost cause to keep looking, they decided to just go....Ron saw the pack when he entered the changing room. They were pissed and rightly so! I am glad Christina said something and Phil gave them a penalty.

I'm ready for Ron and Christina to leave. The pack thing was an honest mistake. Yeah they could have taken it back but I bet they figured leaving it with their things was just as good.

I'm sure we will see them apologize next week.

Ron tends to overreact. (preview for next week showed him throwing something at a van:mad:)

I still don't have a favorite team.

wow I didn't know Azaria from S12 and Christina are engaged!

I'm trying to recall who Azaria was. With whom did he race?

I agree with Disneyjunkie. I don't think the globetrotters were intentionally trying to sabotage Chris and Ron, they probably thought that leaving it with Ron's stuff would be okay not realizing the ramifications of not returning it to the original spot.

I don't have a favorite team either but I'm quickly picking the ones I don't care for this season.

I would love to know how long exactly they spent upset and searching for it. Ron was having a total hiss fit in the changing room and it took several minutes for him to stop, calm down and actually look at his stuff and see it there.

I agree that FT and BE would not intentionally hamper Ron and Chris. Ron and Chris are zero threat to FT and BE. It was an honest mistake, that they thought was easily fixed by leaving it with their other belongings.

And for who Azaria is:

He ran with his sister.

Ron was having the hiss fit in the changing room because he saw the pack was there right away. He was freaking out because of all the time they spent looking for it. When he realized nobody had taking it, he was mad that the Globetrotters didn't put it back where they picked it up. I don't blame him. They wasted valuable time searching, and while I know the Globetrotters did not mean to hinder them, they used poor judgement by not putting it back to where it was.

They couldn't have wasted that much time; the 30 minute penalty was enough to move them up to third.

I thought it was an honest mistake on FT/BE's part, but I agree on them getting a penalty. It bumps them a couple spots in departure time, but they aren't at the back of the pack or anything. They seem like genuinely nice guys--look how earlier, they gave up the last spots on the airplane to Zev and ? because they said they owed them. That's good sportsmanship, even if it didn't work out.

I was sorry to see Mel and Mike go, but not too surprised--you knew they didn't have the stamina to finish the whole race.

He was having the hiss fit before he saw the back. He was picking up things shaking them, moving things around looking. It was after all that, when he turned around and actually looked at his stuff that he saw the pack with the rest of his stuff. Then he started up again.

Like BuzzandBellsmom, BE and FT got a penatly that was justified. I truely don't think that Ron and Chris really looked all that much in the area down by the waterfall. Yes they looked, but I don't think they spent more than a few minutes. They didn't finish the detour that much behind BE and FT, the origianal check in's put them at 3rd and 4th. With the penatly, BE and FT are now 5th.

Christina handled it better than Ron - from the editing of what we were shown. And if I was a betting woman, I would bet heavily that when Chris was told 4th place, if it hadn't been for her dad pushing the issue, she wouldn't have said a word. If it would have made the difference between them being 9th or elimanated, it think she would have said something.

Honest mistake, yes--but in caring only about their time (understandably), they failed to realize how they impeded the time.

People get eliminated without their documents, so this was a very real concern when it was documented where they put their documents and went right to the very spot to retrieve them.

It has nothing to do with threat or no threat. AR does not penalize teams that pose a threat, they penalize teams who do not follow the rules. You cannot sabotage another team in that manner, intentionally or not, when it gives you a gain in advantage.

Someone on another site, made the point on the "don't hiner another team" rule.

If you are going to have a don't hiner rule, it needs to apply to all aspects of the ability to hinder a team.

The two points they made - which we have all seen in previous seasons:

#1 - Team A makes an agreement with cabbie for them to wait on the team. Team B doesn't think to have their cabbie stay. Team B gets done 1st, then begs, pleads and agrees to pay more for the services to get the cabbie to break their promise to team A. Sorry, but in my book that is hindering team A. Team B should get a penalty.

#2 - Team A and C have a lets work together relationship. Team A is in line for airline tickets, with teams B and D already in line behind them, when team C shows up and all of a sudden, team A had been holding team C's spot. That knocks team D to a later flight. Sorry, but once again, in my book that is hindering team D. Team C should get a penalty, as well as team A.
