I hope it doesn't rain when we go!. This question has probably been asked loads but what kind of candy is given out this year?

I was at the 9/14 Mickey's not so scary rain fest too. Man, I have never experienced so much non stop heavy rain at WDW before. It started raining hard while we were in frontierland shortly after arrival and they closed down SM and BTMR. Rain doesn't bother or my son so we walked in the rain over to pirates and that was closed due to problems with the ride. We hit a couple trick or treat spots hit some stores which were packed with people trying to excape the rain. We stuck it out but when it stopped raining they kept announcing the fire works were delayed over and over and over. Finally around 9:30 soaked, and bored due to no rides we started back to the resort and guest services had people handing out the announcement that all the tickets would be coded so anyone who had one from that night could get into the park at a future date in the next year. I asked if you have an AP is there anything else they could do and he said guest services might give us tickets for MNSSHP for another date. He did say that the first night of all the special events like MNSSHP and PP have been cursed and washed out by rain. As we left they did start the fire works show though.

The candy was sparse and some CM's would give to my son and not me being an adult. We got a couple giant lemon heads, couple mini candy bars, mary janes which were soggy and soaked and that's about all I remember. We did get a regular sized bag of hersey kisses handed to us by a CM from a big barrell on the way out. I don't know if that was because of the wash out or if they give them out every night. HTH

I got 2 very small packages of gummie candies but thats all it started to rain then we headed over to Pirates and at this point (we knew it was closed from earlier) it was a down pour and stayed there until we could leave which was about an 1 or so then we went to city hall and we got a refund and were told we would have to leave the park and they took our braclets off but not everyones and they got back into the park and those people got refunds also.

I would have been fine with the rain if I didn't have my costume on. And I'm getting more optimistic about NOT NEEDING that card (which I don't have) and still being able to get in another day (still have the tix). I, too, have an AP, but it expires 4/08 and we're doing a Dis Cruise 5/07 and would love to come down a day early and take advantage of the 'free' day at MK.

we also got these on the 9/21 party!!!

can anyone PLEASE tell me what the crowd size has been, historically, on Halloween night at the party? DH and I are trying to decide which night to go when we are down there - Oct 27-Nov 1. We would prefer a lesser crowd than a bigger one.

How crazy is it on Halloween?? Please some body tell me! Is it worth not getting the discounted rate tix?

It will absolutely sell out and it will be crowded. Especially on Main Street and all the Halloween festivities BUT I've gone Halloween night twice and still had a GREAT time. We just went in with priorities and a basic plan.

The night before will also sell out. Nov 2 party might be less crowded since it is AFTER Hallween.

Good luck deciding.

I keep reading sad reviews about the candy:scared1: WE WANT CANDY!:lmao: :rotfl2:
Same here! :rotfl:
I'm from the UK so most of the candy you mentioned i've never even heard of!. No matter how much candy we get, I know we'll still have a brilliant time :thumbsup2 . We're definatly seeing the parade and fireworks. I just hope it don't rain when we go!

Just a couple of questions:
  1. We’ll be in the park the afternoon of our MNSSHP for BBB appointments and are leaving for a 5:00 ADR at Kona. Can we get our wristbands, etc., before we leave so we won’t have horrible lines to wait in when we come back to the MK?
  2. Where are photopass photographers located? All over the place?
  3. If we stay till closing, how bad will the lines be fore the busses, especially POR? Would it be worth it to catch a cab?

We'll be at the party on the 11th and 12th. We're going as Mardi Gras King and Queen the 11th, then a Ghostly Bride and Groom on the 12th (my birthday! Woo!).

Be sure to get the special photopass card that night. When you check out online, you put the ID number of the card in the promo code spot and you get 40% off the entire order, not just the Party photos. (I didn't order a CD, so I don't know for sure, but I think it's just prints you get the deal on) This came right off the back of the card and I did it, so it's official. :thumbsup2

The discount is on prints only, not the CD.

We were there on the 21 and arrived at 4. They took some really cool pictures of my son in front of the castle in costume and put Tink in them. They said we would get another photopass later when the party started but the only pictures we ended up taking were of the villains and there were no photopass photographers there so we never got the other card. Is the number on the card a code that can be used for any of the photo pass pictures of is it one that you can only use after you enter the info to pull up the photopass pictures from the party? If it is just the number, is there anyone that is willing to share it with me?
