Looks like I'll get to go to MNSSHP again this year too -Woohoo!

Here's a tip: Don't waste a park ticket on the day of MNSSHP. Since you can get in by 4pm with a party ticket and the park is open til midnite, there is plenty of time to enjoy the park. Instead, have a leisurely day at the pool, take an afternoon nap and have a late lunch/early dinner before you go. That way you'll have lots of energy to last the whole night and you won't feel like you've paid double for that day.

That night, the first time you have a Photopass photos taken, you will be given a special MNSSHP Photopass card and it will explain how to get the discount later on. It will have a discount code on the back. Of course, it could change this year but that is how it was handled last year.

I bought my Doombuggy photo from the comfort of my home with the 50% discount.

We're going to try for either Oct. 9 or 11 if the dates stay the same. Hopefully, one of those dates will be a discounted one. We always seem to miss out on anything like that for some reason. I guess it's in the planning we do. We always plan alot ahead of time but we always pick the wrong dates and the discount isn't available during the time we're there. Oh well, I guess we can't have everything, but we'll keep trying.

I think I remember reading a post last year that said you could use that discount on all your photopass photos from your whole trip, not just from the night of the party. Can anyone confirm that?

Yes, that is true. I bought 3 photos total and they all had the discount. However, the discount code can only be used once.

It wouldn't surprise me, though, if Disney fixed this loophole this year so don't get your hopes too high.

They are normally released in April or May. That's when the tickets go on sale. I called today just to check but they still don't have them.

On the photo pass card, you have 30 days to order your pictures. When i got home and registered my halloween card, then i registered my regular card, so all my pictures were together. I WAS able to get discounts on all of my pictures i ordered (halloween and non-halloween pics), but i was only allowed to do it on that one purchase. If you change your mind later and want to get more pics like i did, the discount was gone from the Halloween pics and reqular pics. The discount is one time use only.

We'll be there on Tuesday 10/9. DH and I went last year and didn't dress up. We sure felt like the minority! This year we're going to be prepared. We're all going collectively from Snow White: DH - Prince Charming, Me - Snow White, DS7 - Grumpy, DS3 - Dopey. Only thing is, our costumes won't be our official trick or treat costumes at home. We're from PA and we'd roast if we wore the heavy fleece ones that we usually wear! But that's part of what makes WDW so special!!!! See you all there in October!!

They obviously have photo pass photographers at the HM and coach, but can I assume that they also have them scattered throughout the park? Are they also at the trick-or-treat lines with the characters, or just randomly here and there?

We had a blast at last year's party! My sister & I are planning a super secret trip this year even though our respective families have told us "no more Disney for awhile"(we'll just leave the naysayers home and they'll never have to know).
We're planning on the Sept. 28 party. We've started working on our costumes - we're going as "2 of a Kind". So, if you see a pair of 7's shhhhhhh! don't tell our families!

They are all over the park at Cinderella's Coach, the Doombuggy at HM, with several characters around the park and they are with Mickey and Minnie in the back of their houses.

They are not at the trick or treating lines however.
