"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

2nd trip to Disney and First to MVMCP! So excited! We are going on arrival day since we will already miss part of day and just show up at 4pm. Glad to hear that Fast Pass work.. I will look into that as this will be my first experience with the FastPass+ also.

I bought tickets for the 11/12 party. It's our final night there after the F&W marathon and festival. I love that there's an overlap. I never thought we'd be able to do both! We've been before---insanely crowded to the point of irritation, but my daughter and her friend have not been. They are both in their 20s so can maneuver just fine on their own. I'm crossing my fingers that this early party in November won't be as crazy as the one we went to in December a few years ago.

It'll be our 2nd MVMCP. We'll be there for the December 18th party. Staying at BCV for 4 days/3 nights followed by the Dream sailing on the 21st and then back to BLT for 4 days/3 nights. Can't wait.

Where is the best place to be for the parade? Normally for parades I go into liberty square for viewing but I kind of want to be on main street this time. Is it really even possible to be on main street to view or is it just so busy (even for the later parade)?

It will be much easier to get a spot on Main Street for the later parade. If you want to catch the early one, plan to stake out your spot an hour or more in advance.

Celebrate the Magic
Youtube link:
Summary: Castle Projection show that goes on the Cinderella Castle
Is it worth it: While not a must see, it's a warm up to the fireworks show. It's some of the best projections I've seen in a long time. Classic Disney moments and characters will be on the castle in a way like you've never seen it before. I believe this particular show is no different than the one offered on a standard day, however it's a beautiful show. What I recommend to do is grab some last minute cookies and coco and enjoy before the real show!

Hi, Campbellz! Thanks for an awesome job on an expertly done MVMCP thread!

I was just watching Disney Vlogs on You Tube (as usual) and it turns out Celebrate the Magic is slightly different during the party due to a special Christmas tag.

Just thought you should know, not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet.

Here's a You Tube video from Main Street Mouse, fast forward to the 10:32 mark to see it:

hi everyone,

You we all have to excuse my ignorance as I haven't been to disneyworld in nearly 10 years. Myself, husband, (will be) 16 month old, my parents and brother and sister in law are all going in Nobember for 2 weeks. As it won't be that Christmassy when we go we are thinking of doing the party instead.

Is it worth it dragging a 16 month old around pretty late? I would love for him to meet Santa but I've heard mixed reports as to whether he is there in November for meet and greets?

Also (sorry lots of questions) We can only do either 13th or 15th November, which date would be better?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can anyone help please?

According to TP, Sunday the 16th party was slightly less crowded than Friday the 14th of last year. Not sure there'd be much of a difference crowd wise between the 2.

However, if attending the party is very important to you, you may want to consider doing the Friday party just in case the weather doesn't cooperate, then at least you have the option to go again on Sunday.

I've never toured with a child before, so I can't help you with the rest, sorry.

My family and I are going November 12th! It will be our first time! I'm super excited and excited to see my children's reactions!

Our family will be there on the 6th.

And just in case it hasn't been posted here, Disney Store posted new ornaments to their store this week. Specifically, there are 6 new "shoes" and several new sketchbook ornaments. I bought my wife all of the shoes last fall at the halloween party, so seeing new ones was a lot of fun for us.

So, I ordered my MVMCP tickets last night/this morning (at 1:37 am, actually ... #NightOwlProbz) and I got an email saying that they still weren't processed because of system availability issues and I'd receive an email when they were.

That was 12 hours ago! Has anyone else run into this problem? I guess I could call, but I figured I'd ask here before I waited on hold for forever ...

Why is the Halloween thread more popular than us...?

Maybe because their party starts in about a month and a half? Ours seems forever away.

Here's a question, when the party starts, are all the lands and rides still open or do they close some of them?

Most rides and attractions stay open. Last year's party map will list everything open. Most of what closes early are TS restaurants.
