Official May 2011 thread!

Holy crap!

Usually I plan my trips months in advance. That's half the fun! And I live in SF so while I can go to DL with relative short notice, WDW is not nearly as easy.

But just about a week ago I found out about the D23 event on the 14th-15th. I looked at the lineup and there are a few presentations that I really want to see. So I tried to plan something. Time off of work? Might be too soon. DVC availability? None. Flights? Too expensive.

Flash forward to now. Got the time off work. Called DVC every day (they must hate me by now) and found a room. And thanks to checking Kayak every day (okay okay, several times a day), I found a decent flight last night.

So, I am now going to WDW in 2 weeks! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:

I can't believe we're in the single digits now! My 9 year old keeps randomly yelling "9 days!!!!!!" :lmao:

Two weeks from today we'll be landing at MCO!! AHHH!!

Also, we got our Undercover Tourist theme park tickets yesterday. It's our first time using UT and we saved $40 on tickets. We ordered them with the regular free shipping (up to 10 business days for delievery) and received them 3 days later! Very impressed :) Can't wait to start using them!

I just received a reminder email from Southwest regarding our upcoming trip! As if I need reminding . . . Only 29 days until our trip!

Leave Animal Kingdom @ 4pm head to CBR to get changed, take taxi to Grand Floridian for a blow dry and quick style, head to Poly for private PhotoPass shoot and then make it to Epcot for our 8:35pm ressie at Le Cellier?

Think it will work? I would think 4 hours is enough time, but I want your opinions.

I think it will be enough time, but I tend to be good at making people move expeditiously while in Disney. ;)

Also, technically you have until 8:45, since they'll hold your reservation for 10 minutes.

That's awesome!

Thank you!

Thanks! Sorry you'll miss the events. I don't belong to D23 so if my friend hadn't said anything I wouldn't have even known the event existed. Have fun on your trip as well!
