What kind of great discount did you get for the second week and not the first if you don't mind me asking??? I love a deal

I love a good deal too and it was worth going a week later, instead of the week before, where my birthday would be during that week. I got a 35% off a Value/Mod resort and 40% Deluxe/Deluxe Villa PIN and the earliest date in May it can be used is the 8th and since that is Mother's Day, I went with the day after.

Seconded. This was the pin we used when we booked. Luckily our start date was always the 8th so for us it was serendipity.

Finally booked!! MAy 14-20th!! Staying at CBR in a Pirate room. (We will risk the horrible beds and distance to OPR...we are pretty easy to please!)

We're going the same week as you! The weather will be great. And don't worry about the crowds--they will be fine. We've been the first week of May before and we love it. Just plan to get up early and do rope drop, then head back to your resort for naps/down time/pool time as needed. Then you can head back out into the parks for the evening. Also, you might want to check out the touring plans on touringplans.com because crowd size doesn't really matter when you have a good touring plan!!

Looks like there will be a resort change for me. It's going to be either BWI or CR. It all depends on my gramma.

We'll be there the same time as you all!!! It's only rained on us once during that time, crossing fingers, and it was for 30 minutes and the sun came right back out so no worries there. If it does rain, grab a poncho and you'll still have a great time. We normally go the second week in May so this will be there first time for the first week, but if it's anything like the 2nd week the crowds are very manageable. Use fast pass and you'll never wait more than 15 minutes or so. Where are ya'll staying?

We've been both the first and second weeks of May before and they are pretty similiar in crowds and weather. We've also been lucky with the lack of rain on our trips and are hoping that continues! Fingers crossed.

We're staying at AKL. We always do. I just can't bring myself to stay somewhere else. I know I'm missing out on other great resorts, and one year I even booked at BC but ended up switching back to AKL. We love the feel/theme of the resort, our kids love the animals and it just feels like home to us. Also, it brings back wonderful memories of our first trip to Disney since we stayed there on that trip too!
