We had to change our dates from May 28-June 3rd to May 21-27. Still looking forward to going!

In our experience, no (and this May will be our 4th time). I know there was the one May ('09 I think) where there was a week or 2 straight rain at Disney. Luckily, we had been there the week before it started so we missed it. If you look at the average rainfall for Orlando for May, it's pretty low. We generally have wonderful weather in May--nice temps and little rain! Hope you experience the same

We unfortunately stayed in that May 09 week of rain! I didnt let it dampen our trip though, It was my DDs, DM, and my DBs first trip ever! We surprised them!! I was devastated at the rain, but we have been there MANY times in May and late April and that was BY FAR the first and worst, also they said it was a subtropical depression and hadnt happend in a decade! Of course on our trip it does! So we are heading back this May (50 days!!) with her again and hoping this time its DRY!! :

Woo hoo!!! Decided to go yesterday, booked the trip today! POR May 11-18 for our anniversary. I even managed to get ressies at Le Cellier on our anniversary. It must be fate!!

Uh Ohhhh...
I see some of you are talking about "Mickey Mail"..I hope I didn't make a mistake. I rec'd something from them last week, it was a mailing that had some pamphlets about dining and special events going on the time we will be there, the whole thing was personalized.....but I didn't see anything important or necessary so I threw it away.
Were our luggage tags somewhere in there????
Could I have missed them??

I believe luggage tags are usually mailed around 40 days out. We leave in 45 days and we have not gotten ours yet. And I see that you go a week or 2 after us, so you should be ok. Of course, you could always call to verify if they've been sent out to you yet or not, just to double check!

Now to try and not wish away the next 2 months, because if I do our trip will be over before I know it.

We cannot wait for May to get here. It will be our first trip! I finished my countdown calendar a couple days ago. The kids are getting excited too.

Also, I laminated some LGMH's for our bags! So you fellow Dis'ers, if you see us, come and say hi!!

I'm astounded at DH. He actually told someone that he couldn't wait to go on vacation! He doesn't dislike Disney but it's not like he gets excited like I do. But he said 6 weeks and it's more like 10 weeks out Ah well, I'm just glad to see that he's excited (in his own way) about the vacation. I can't wait!!!

My husband said that same thing last night! The difference is my husband is a Disney lover through and through (he might not admit it to everyone but we all know it).

I wish I had known about the Disboards when I planned our first trip to Disney. Looking back at it, we had a wonderful time but I wish I knew then what I know now.
