**** official june 2015 thread! **** come check in!

I'm waiting for my dates to show up on Ridemax! Our first day is June 13. I played around with some other dates, using June 6, but June 6 opens an hour later. I'm having fun playing with it.

I did run into a weird thing, I was making a plan at DCA I think on June 11, and it told me to pick up a California Screamin FP at like 8:23am and then use it a minute later. And then to pick up a Radiator Springs Racer FP around 6:30pm and use it basically right away...that can't be right. I know FP for RSR won't be available at that time, and no FP would be for immediate use, ever. I'm hoping it was some weird glitch and it won't affect my actual dates.

They changed the RSR FP. It used to be that you could get a FP for RSR and turn around and get another FP for another ride. The RSR FP weren't linked to the rest of the park. They changed that now, it's linked. Maybe Ridemax hasn't updated that? They changed it last year.

It works okay on other days I've played around with. Get a RSR FP around 9:15am, it's not good until later afternoon, and can't get any other FP until 2 hours later. So it's got to be updated as that is the current procedure. I'm thinking something is wrong in the programming for June 11, because it's not just the RSR, but the Screamin FP too. No way you get a FP and use it right away. Not that I'm going on June 11, I'll still be on the east coast working, counting down the hours! But I'm hoping maybe it has to do with it currently being the last day available, it's not completely right in their system yet. I dunno, but for other people who need to plan that day, I hope it works out for them. Just hoping it doesn't do the same on any of my days. I mean, I can figure it out, but can you imagine going in thinking you can pick up a FP for RSR after 6pm to use almost immediately, as someone who doesn't know any better? This is just my first time ever using Ridemax, so I'm wondering if anyone had seen anything similar before and if it had fixed itself eventually.

  • 10:07 am - send a runner to get Splash Mountain fast passes
  • 10:11 am - go on Splash Mountain

I did think this looked strange. How can you pull a FP and then use it 4 minutes later? Maybe Ridemax is having issues with your date as marsh0013 mentions above.

Ah, see, I hadn't looked that closely at the plan posted above, I see that it has happened there as well. Very odd. Good catch.

Edit - looks like that Splash Mountain FP needs to get picked up earlier, sometime in the 8 or 9am hour, as no other FP have been picked up. Otherwise, you're going to have a heck of a time picking up a Star Tours FP as scheduled at 10:36am. Hope Ridemax gets these issues resolved.

Ack! Our thread was all the way back on page 6!

We've got our hotel ressies made (months ago). Bought our airline tix about 2 weeks ago. Working out our dining plans now.

Still to be done:
-Dining ressies (only for RBT or BB, depending on what DD decides)
-Buy those water-bottle-spray-fan dealiebobbers. I refuse to pay $18 in the parks for one again!
-Buy a new suitcase (may have ripped mine by stuffing it too full last trip)
-Summer clothes!
-Pull together disneybounding clothes for DD and I (more for DD, who wants to be Anna, Tiana, and Rapunzel)

It's getting close! We're at 48 days.

I could use some help deciding if I should get 3 day tickets with park hoppers or 4 day tickets without park hoppers.

We're staying VGC from June 17-23 (Grad nights on the 17rh and 19th).

Any opinions? :)

I prefer hoppers, personally. The parks are really two halves of a whole more than two separate parks, in my opinion. We go back and forth often, usually at least once or twice a day. I've heard at WDW hopping isn't as popular, because it's more time consuming, but at DLR, they are just so close. Honestly, I've never even attempted it without a hopper, though!

While I prefer hoppers, if it comes down to 3 days with or 4 days without, I would for sure do 4 days. More days are always better! 2 days at DL, 1 day at DCA, and then the 4th figure out what you still want to do, and pick that park.

I think with all the new evening entertainment, and extra evening would be really beneficial!

My random thoughts on this in no particular order:

My first instinct was to say go for the park hoppers. Mostly because hopping at DL is so easy & convenient. However, you're staying at the VGC, so you'll get EE every day (instead of just 1 Magic Morning if you have a 3-day or more park hopper and stay off site).

Get the 4-day non-park-hopper tickets. And take advantage of EE each day. Take a break in the afternoons. Make DL your 1st park of your visit. Go to DL a second day. Go to DCA 1 day and then decide if you want a 2nd day at DCA.

All dining reservations and Anna & Elsa reservations made. Just need to buy the PP+ and we're all set! Just under 7 weeks!

Does anyone think or happen to know if the PP+ is/will be offering special 60th Anniversary borders for the pictures? I wonder if they will be putting the pics of the castle decked out for the 60th Anniversary and some of the special anniversary stuff on the CD too? It would be great if they did!

I still need to get a PP+ and deciding if we want to make any dining reservations. We usually try to save money by either bringing our own food or eating outside the park on our way to/from the hotel.

What is one place in DL or DCA that you guys think is very good food, has larger portions and hopefully a decent price. We have young kids (4 and 1.5) so BB and other places like that are not where we want to eat.

I like the Pasta at Pizza Port and also the pasta at.... shoot, I can't remember the name but it's in DCA near Goofy's Sky school. Lots of options and you can always round out a meal with a side salad if you like (if you want to share a pasta plate)

Boardwalk Pasta and Pizza, I think it's called. That's my favorite 5-cheese ravioli there! Their portions are great. Plates, soda, and dessert are under $20/pp (maybe $16 or so?). They have a kids meal there as well that has plenty of food with it. DD is eating a lot these days (puberty hormones, LOL), and she's even well-fed with the kid portions, assuming we add a side and a dessert.

Big thunder ranch BBQ is all you can eat. Don't know the prices right now as it's been a few years since I have been there but it's really good food and the entertainment is fun for the kids.

Howdy,
Just wondering what are the Anna and Elsa reservations you made? I wasn't aware you could do this.
Cheers
