**** official june 2015 thread! **** come check in!

I'd better decide if I want to order PhotoPass or not! I'm not sure - I'll be in the parks on my own probably 1-2 days, then with friends 1-2 days.

Just found out I'm heading to LA in June and decided to fly in 2 days early for Disneyland! June 11-12. I'll only have one day at each park (actually less on 11th, flight lands at 9 and by the time I pick up a rental at LAX and drive down, I don't expect to be there before noon. If I am, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

So excited to find out about the 60th anniversary! I've been out of the Disney loop since my WDW vacay in 2012. I just bought the unofficial guide and will probably sign up for touring plans. I'm making a realistic approach to my limited time. Priorities will be the fireworks/parade/fantasmic!

Any suggestions or tips? This will be my first solo Disney trip, too. :dogdance:

Made ressies for Goofy's Kitchen on our arrival night (non park day) and Ariels Grotto for lunch a couple days into our trip. Can't wait!
I so want to do Goofys on our arrival night but I am pretty sure my 2 1/2 yo SPD daughter wouldn't be good with it. Ugh! I really want to take the baby because I think babies at character meals are so cute.

PhotoPass+ has arrived. Dinner ressies for Goofy's and BB Fantasmic are made! :cool1: Now what am I suppose to do for the next 55 days??

We got PhotoPass for our honeymoon and then didn't use it because we were too broke to order the photos once our honeymoon was over! I was SO bummed. So when we've gone back, we don't get it. We just ask CMs to take our pic with our camera or phones. It's up to you.

:mickeyjumI made our Fantasmic Blue Bayou reservations today. It is fun to be getting close enough to our trip to start planning specifics. I'm hoping that some of you who are going in early June will report back on the new parade, fireworks and world of color. I'm wondering where the best viewing spots will be and how early we will have to stake out a spot.

OF COURSE! I'll even post pictures, too! :thumbsup2

We are driving down to SD first on the 5th of June but our Disney days won't start till the 9th. We will be there through the 12th. Staying offsite at the Ramada. Can NOT wait as it has been since last March that we were at DL and Oct of 13 since DCA. SOOO ready and excited to see the 60th stuff!

Just made me dining reservations... doing the Minnie & Friends Breakfast (2nd time doing it- worth every penny!) one morning and the Princess Lunch at Ariel's Grotto (will be a first for us) another day. We may cancel the princess lunch though if we see enough princesses at DL the two days before we hit up DCA.

Will be there with my friend June 3 just before the schools in LA get out for the summer!

I'm going June 21st - June 24th! I'll be with my sister's family, including 3 sweet nephews, 6, 4 and 2. I'm so excited! With that said, I know I'll need some solo time, so I have a couple of ressies booked already. Steakhouse 55 for breakfast and a World of Color dinner at Carthay Circle. :)

We will be there June 9-11. We are taking advantage of DHs business trip to Vegas the week before. My FIL and DSD are flying to Vegas to meet him on the 4th, then I am following with DS and DD on the 6th. We are staying on Route 66 a couple of nights to see the Grand Canyon, then driving to Anaheim for 3 nights, 2.5 days at DLR. Then we are driving to San Diego to stay right by the ocean 2 nights, then heading home. We thought about the CityPass, but decided not to overdo the theme parks and just relax in San Diego. I am a WDW junkie and I'm so excited. I even went with my husband on a business trip to Orlando in September to go to HP at Universal and spent my solo day touring the WDW resort hotels. I loved just being in the Disney bubble, even without visiting the parks. It's been fun planning for this trip and learning the similarities and differences between WDW and DLR. Thanks to all who post their advice!

Made lots of additions to the group list on pg. 1. :welcome: to everyone!

I am so excited now because Ridemax just added early June to its web app, so I've been playing around with Ridemax itineraries. It's really interesting how changing 1 thing can totally alter what order you do stuff in. For example, the order is totally different if you arrive 30 minutes later than you originally planned.

For grins & giggles and in case anyone is interested, here's how it has our schedule playing out that day (Monday, 6/8):
  • arrive @ turnstiles at 7:30 am
  • 8:05 am - Matterhorn Bobsleds - MY must do
  • 8:17 am - Mad Tea Party
  • 8:25 am - Alice in Wonderland
  • 8:34 am - Dumbo
  • 8:48 am - King Arthur Carousel - this is a must for my kids
  • 8:56 am - Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - this is a must for DH
  • 9:03 am - Snow White's Scary Adventures
  • 9:11 am - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • 9:26 am - Pirates of the Caribbean - a must do for our family
  • 9:52 am - Haunted Mansion - a must do for our family
  • 10:07 am - send a runner to get Splash Mountain fast passes
  • 10:11 am - go on Splash Mountain
  • 10:36 am - get Star Tours fast passes - YDD's must do
  • 10:36 am - 5:10 pm - free time (probably go on Star Tours in this time frame).
  • 5:10 pm - dinner at Blue Bayou - I allotted 70 minutes for this. Our reservation is for 5:10 pm.
  • 7:46 pm - Tiki Room (this is where my itinerary ends from RideMax, plus I changed the pick up time of Star Tours FP to be right after we go on Splash Mtn)
  • 8:30 pm - go to Blue Bayou viewing area for Fantasmic!
  • 9:00 pm - watch Fantasmic!
  • 9:30 pm - stay where we are and watch fireworks
  • 10:00 pm - depending on how exhausted our kids are, maybe go on 1 last ride and then leave.

During the "free time" between 10:30 am - 5:00 pm, we want to:
  1. have lunch @ the Hungry Bear. If Star Tours ends up to be before lunch, we'll ride the train from Tomorrowland to New Orleans Square, then walk to the Hungry Bear.
  2. see the fairies in Pixie Hollow.
  3. see some princesses at Fantasy Faire.
  4. I have to figure out when we'll get our PhotoPass+. I'm thinking after we pick up the Star Tours FP's.
  5. go on the river boat.
  6. explore Tom Sawyer's Island.
  7. get silhouettes done of my kids on Main St.
  8. see the "Mickey and the Magical Map" show.
  9. do a little bit of shopping & get some pressed pennies.
  10. get my kids an ice cream.
These would be icing on the cake:
  1. go to Coke Corner when Alice & the Mad Hatter play musical chairs.
  2. do the "make your own droid" at the Tomorrowland Star Traders store.

Hi VandVsmama,
Have you used ridemax before?
Just signed up for them to try on our June trip.
Cheers
Adam

My son plans out our Disney days. The last four years we have gone during the summer (we were even there the week Cars Land opened) we are able to get about 22-24 rides in a day thanks to his planning. My son was able to ride RSR twice in one day the week they opened! Whether you use Ridemax, Touring Plans or do it on your own it really makes a difference to plan what you are doing!!!

I'm waiting for my dates to show up on Ridemax! Our first day is June 13. I played around with some other dates, using June 6, but June 6 opens an hour later. I'm having fun playing with it.

I did run into a weird thing, I was making a plan at DCA I think on June 11, and it told me to pick up a California Screamin FP at like 8:23am and then use it a minute later. And then to pick up a Radiator Springs Racer FP around 6:30pm and use it basically right away...that can't be right. I know FP for RSR won't be available at that time, and no FP would be for immediate use, ever. I'm hoping it was some weird glitch and it won't affect my actual dates.

I just did it again, June 11, what the heck is going on? I would imagine that the actual return time for Screamin would be later in the morning. And that it would really make sense to pick up the RSR FP before the free time at 10:47am.
