**** official june 2015 thread! **** come check in!

I will be at Disneyland for five days as of June 9th, celebrating my June 5th wedding! I need to start working on my fiance's Mickey top hat ears! :love2: We're also taking a longer, more leisurely honeymoon in October to Disney World, but we wanted to sneak away to Disneyland (we're in Northern California) for a few days right after the wedding to wind down and celebrate just the two of us. We leave the park just a few days before my birthday; as much as I'd like to celebrate my birthday there, too, I think I'll be ready for a rest by then!

It's been a couple of years since we were last there, so I'm especially excited to see the changes that have been made in that time. We saw the re-launch of California Adventure, but that's the most recent change we've been there for. I'm so glad we'll get to see the 60th anniversary happenings :yay: Can't wait!

We will be in Anaheim from June 18-25. We are doing four park days, a Hollywood day, and a San Diego Zoo day. We are driving from Texas, so we actually leave on June 17 and return on June 26. I can't wait to travel Rt 66 again!

We will be there June 2 - June 6th. There are 3 Grad Nights while we are planning on being in the parks. I'm not very happy about it. Does anyone feel that it will really affect the crowd level with rowdy teens? I've heard some horror stories. Teens are teens, I know my son is 16. I do have a 4 day park hopper so we can adjust to what is going on but still this is frustrating!!!

I just listened to the DIS podcast this morning on my way into work...Tom Bell was talking about all of the Diamond Anniversary stuff that'll be going on at DL this summer. He attended a press event earlier this week in which DL execs described all sorts of cool stuff...the DL fireworks are going to include a new "Step in Time" dance sequence and chimney sweeps are going to dance down Main Street. And during the Frozen section, it's going to snow on Main Street. Plus he describes the new night time parade....AND he got to go to the parade barn.

OMG I AM SO EXCITED, I JUST CAN'T STAND IT!!! :jumping1:

Me too!!! I listened to the podcast on my walk this morning. There will be so much fun evening entertainment! I wonder if it will be difficult for people with young kids because so much of the new cool stuff is in the evening. But it all sounds AMAZING!!!

We've been at the parks and had three out of four days be grad nights. Honestly, it worked fine for us. We just did the e ticket rides in the morning and focused on the smaller stuff and shows later in the day. If DL got really busy we hopped over to DCA. Now every grad night is unique to itself so there's no way to know for sure, and I was really worried about ours, but it turned out just fine.

That's good to hear. I think that is what our plan will be. I've been there before for Grad Nights but it was before they had the all day park hopper pass. I guess things are different now :).

I was there for two grad nights the first year they did the all day passes and I didn't mind it at all. I thought the crowds were higher on the non grad night days, at least during the morning and early afternoon hours (we were there Mon-Fri so no Sat or Sun park days). It was very busy in the evening on the grad night days and DD was only 3 so we didn't stay past 8 pm so that probably makes a difference as well. During the day we saw more middle school kids on school trips than we saw high school kids. I have one grad night on my June trip this year and I have no worries at all about it.

I was there the week Cars Land opened. If I can survive that I can survive a few Grad Nights :).

We'll be there from 6/7 to 6/14 for DD's graduation, staying at PPH. I grew up not far from Disneyland and haven't been back in twenty years. Needless to say, we're very excited!

I've added the new folks to the list on pg. 1! Welcome!

I made our Blue Bayou dinner/Fantasmic! package reservations today for when we'll be at DL on 6/8. WOOT! None of us have seen Fantasmic! so we are all looking forward to it. I wanted a 5:30 pm reservation, but the online reservation system offered 5:10 or 6:00 pm, so we went with the 5:10 time slot. At that point in the day, we'll probably all be ready for a nice break. I wasn't going to do the BB thing, but DH really loves the place and my kids do, too (ODD soon to be 9, YDD will be 7 when we go). AND...since DH's b-day is on 6/17, YDD's b-day is 6/2, ODD's b-day is 6/19, and our 20th wedding anniversary is 7/1, I figured why not go for it?

We will be at the BB with the fantasmic package the same day at 4:40. Maybe we will see you there. v and V's mom. I tried to quote and I guess my iPad didn't want to include it.

You will all LOVE the F!/BB seating area. It is money well spent to have a front and center view with no wait! Have fun!

I really need to be thinking about what are plans are going to be for the evening entertainment! I think if we do Fantasmic this time it will just be with a regular FP. I really want to focus on the new stuff, but on the other hand, I can't really imagine a trip to DL without seeing Fantasmic! I guess if we don't make reservations we'll be able to plan a little more last minute.

I hope you guys all enjoy BB! It sounds fantastic. I have never eaten there (can you believe it?) but it is sort of a budget buster for us, and we can do two CS meals instead, so that's how it ends up for us. But some day when I go with just me and my hubby it will be on the list!

I have tried to get a reservation at Carthay Circle even on the 60 day mark and no luck. Anyone able to get a dinner reservation here?

When in June are you going? I just check online, we are going the first week in June and there are several reservations open at Carthay Circle for lunch and dinner the when we are there. We have eaten at BB several times and it is expensive. We get a Monte Cristo and split it along with a bowl of gumbo. It's such a great atmosphere and they don't care if you split a meal.

I think you missed my post about being there in June. We will be there in the parks on the 16, 17, and 18.

We know where we are staying at now though which is the Anaheim Marriot.
