Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

We are coming to WDW for our first ever trip to the parks May 30 - June 6 and can't wait. We are staying at All Star Music as requested by the 9 year old and she wants to stay in the buildling with the large violin b/c she plays the violin. Youngest DD is just soooo excited that we will be there on her birthday (May 31st) I am counting down the days till sunday so I can book our ADR at crystal palace for her birthday breakfast. The boards have been such a great help with my planning and looking at how to inform the chefs of her food allergies. Just got our flight booked yesterday too and now both girls are climbing the walls with excitment. Any info or secrets you have for a newbie would be great.

I praise you, I couldn't keep a secret that long. I just have to tell somebody  Suzanne

Oh, but I have told somebody. Quite a few.... the whole Disboard community!!!!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

I like late. I prefer the parks at night, not so fond of Morning EMH. I don't like to get up early. I work 2nd shift so I am used to sleeping until 10 am and staying up until 1 or 2 in the morning, so June works out well for that. We haven't been for a week in June, only a few days at a time, but with the special I couldn't resist.

We went back in 2005 and my DMIL and DGMIL came with, and so they were able to watch DS 3 and 4 mos. at the time! While we went out and ran around during the Evening EMH.... So I hear you. I love being at the park at night late... Alas, they are not coming, so we will have to stick to manageable hours for little people! Whom we would really rather not deal with if they are cranky, tired, and hot :rolleyes1
Lots of people with school-aged children will leave well before that time I am sure, so you should have no problems in the park then! :thumbsup2

Will dates be available any earlier than March 1st? Did May dates come out on the first, or a few days before? I'm hoping they come out a few days earlier. :)

It was pretty much the 1st of Feb. that the May hours came out and even at that time, they were somewhat confusing per website upgrades but disboards did a great job keeping everyone up to date and current :thumbsup2 We are a split stay (5/28 - 6/4) so while we have 1/2 the hours for our trip, we are missing the other half so I'm hoping they will be out sooner than March 1st... :wizard:

We don't have children so that makes a big difference. Although, we did take my 10 year old cousin last year and she stayed up late. We all took a nap mid-afternoon and she likes to stay up late anyway(she can sit up all night watchig tv), so she was thrilled.

My cousin had to take her kids back early on our Dec trip and Dh and I would hop to a park that was open late or to DTD, because I can't go back to the room early, I would go stir crazy. It was difficult, because we still had to get up early and race to early ADR's. I paid a hefty price close to the end of the week. I crashed one morning when we didn't have an ADR and didn't think I was going to be able to get out of bed at all that day.

Hi! I'm new to this forum. I'm SO excited to say that DF and I will be Disneymooning June 20th to 27th! My Valentine's Day surprise was that DF upgraded our honeymoon package to stay at the GF! I can't wait!! We're also celebrating DF's birthday there! (Mine is the next week, alas!) We have both been there only once before, and it has been a long time for both of us! Any tips on how to make it more special than it already will be?

The chefs are awesome with food allergies. One reason we keep on going back every summer! My son is treated normal and has had many firsts. He is allergic to milk, peanuts and fish. He outgrew wheat and eggs but his stomach doesn't tolerate eggs very well even though the blood test said it was gone. Some Disney resorts have Divies in their little shops. If they don't have them ask. We have done many of the Disney restaurants with no problems at all. His favorites are 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickeys, and the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I think this year I am going to surprise him with CRT! He has always wanted to eat in the castle. me too!

Looks like we're off the June list and onto the July list. We're canceling 6/4-11 at Poly and shifting to 7/8-17 at SSR.

Hope everyone has a wonderful trip! pixiedust:

TTFN!

Just booked today (better late than never) for June 6/12 - 6/19! First time at Pop Century and I'm taking my almost 15 year old sister for her first time to WDW.

We're super excited, but a little nervous about the heat and crowds.

Hi Everyone!!! June hours for AK are now posted on the WDW website. Hopefully that means that all the other parks will be posted soon.:cool1:

In a boring class the other day, I started making some preliminary ddp ressies...I just need those hours posted!!!
To all the first time visitors...I am so excited for you! You are going to love it!
My mom and sister have decided to join us for the last few days of our trip. That will be so fun, becuase my mom is the one he made me into a Disney freak!;)

Maybe I'm having a blonde moment (I'm a natural blonde, so I'm allowed to say it) but I can't find the park hours listed ..

Guess I have to keep being patient..
