Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

We are coming to WDW for our first ever trip to the parks May 30 - June 6 and can't wait. We are staying at All Star Music as requested by the 9 year old and she wants to stay in the buildling with the large violin b/c she plays the violin. Youngest DD is just soooo excited that we will be there on her birthday (May 31st) I am counting down the days till sunday so I can book our ADR at crystal palace for her birthday breakfast. The boards have been such a great help with my planning and looking at how to inform the chefs of her food allergies. Just got our flight booked yesterday too and now both girls are climbing the walls with excitment. Any info or secrets you have for a newbie would be great.

Hey we are going the same time as you, mom and nine year old son trip. We are staying at All Star Sports. I picked that one because the bus stops there first leaving and coming back! Love it! (Except when we got on the wrong bus home one night) the bus driver was not loving us!
We are taking an AirTran 8:00am flight from Atlanta 5/30, plan to eat lunch at Sports have a swim...then get dressed ADR Garden Grill in Epcot (it is the last week-end of the flower festival) between 5 and 6, then walk the countries ,watch fireworks go back to hotel then Sunday rope drop at DHS for Star Wars week-end.
We do rope drops but rest in the afternoons and have one day as a sleep in day (best advice I can give you) Long hot steamy days, rests make happier kids!

Hello We will be going June 24-July 1st (staying in POP may go upgrade to French Quarter) ...Does anyone know the hours the water parks are going to be open? Thank You , Butch & Jackie Wheeler

Anyone have guesses as to when the fireworks/parade schedule will be available...

Even though we're over a hundred days out, we feel like the child in the old Disney ad who says "I'm too excited to sleep!"

We're too excited to sleep!:dance3: :yay:

They are out for june. you have to go to the theme park monthly calendar and click on each day. It is quite a headache :headache: because if you are going for 7 days you have to click on each day 4 times for each park. and don't feel bad, i had to ask too how to view the fireworks/parades.

here is the link to the Mk for june. Just click on the specific days you want to see the fireworks/parades

Here's an idea. Get books or go on-line and make a game out of making your not to be missed attractions. He picks one, you pick one, if you pick the same attraction at the same time, you drink something, eat something, I don't know anything you want to do. I hope you get the idea. The negotiating over whether you are going to see "Country Bears" could be fun. My DH uses this as a threat to my children. If you don't clean your rooms, I'll make you sit through Country Bears 3 times in a row. :rotfl2:

Now before all of you Country Bears fans get upset with me. Of course, we love it. It is just our family joke. They laugh at me because I screw up the words all of the time. We only pick on things that we love.

Anyway, if you are a planning fanatic like myself, making your touring plans can be a lot of fun. Think of all the ways you can do this on the computer. Fonts, colors, clip art!!! The mind races.

Just some ideas. But the most important thing is to have a great time. My first trip to WDW was with my boyfriend at the time who is now my husband. We still remember things from that trip even though we have been there 4 times since.

OOPS I posted right after myself. Sorry.

OK so I just went to get the parades and fireworks times. Thanks to debraW76 for figuring this out!!!

Anyway, the only big show that is not every night is Fantasmic. I thought they weren't doing the spectromagic parade every night either. However, it is listed for all of the nights that we are there. Can you believe that I haven't seen this parade before?:scared1: I have to see it this trip. I may see it more than once to make up for lost time.

Thanks again for the help.
