Great day today! Got the summer discount on my already reserved room at the Yacht Club. Hoping an AP discount will come out and be able to save a bit more. DD who is coming with me in July and was supposed to start the college program last May in entertainment received an e-mail today to update her application. They are looking to start bringing in some of the kidults for the college program in June. She is so excited and ready to start. They have to be ready to work any role and understands that she may not get back in entertainment and is okay with that. Hoping she gets pixie dust sent her way!!! I may be going in July to visit my daughter and her friend instead of taking them with me but I'm fine with that LOL.

Sweet !! Question for my Dis-ers..before I have to call Disney--- booked package with (2) extra park day bonus---- AS Movies---- was thinking about trying for the 10% discount, but wont I lose (2) bonus day package if I do this ? Might end up costing me more for the 10% if I lose the bonus park days..

Boy, hope this made sense..

So so late to the July thread but here it goes. We will be traveling with our grown kids, their spouses, and a granddaughter, age 2 for a split stay:

July 11- July 13 AK-Kidani 2BR and Studio

Congratulations to all who were able to get a discount for their stay after July 10th.

Today was our day to begin making ADR's. I was more stressed today than I have been in prior year's and I was not trying to get any hard ADR's initially. The system was really difficult this morning at 6:00am and kept crashing. I went back in around 9:30 and had better luck. I was finally able to get everything we were looking for and all but one at the times we wanted. The only one I had to settle on a later time was lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe. I was also booking for 8 people and we needed to make two reservations for 4 people for three of the ADR's.

This is what we have for now:

7/3 Mama Melrose 11:25am
7/4 Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom 11:30am
7/5 Grand Floridian Cafe 12:50pm
7/7 Via Napoli 5:30pm
7/8 Sci-Fi Dine In 11:35am
7/9 Tony's Town Square 12:40pm

Sci-Fi was a last minute addition when I saw there was availability. I will be watching to see what other restaurants open and we may make some changes depending on what opens. Good luck to everyone else on your ADR day.

I can't say I wasn't expecting it, but I sure am disappointed. We got the dreaded "your flights have been changed" emails from SW. Arriving later and leaving earlier. Grumble grumble grumble

Same here I had a good 7:00 pm flight home, but now it’s been changed to 4:45 pm.

Ditto. And there's not even any middle ground now- the flights from here are either 6-7 am with stops making it twice as long, or way after our now 2:45 pm flight- and our return at 4:45 is the last one of the day! I can't believe how many flights have been canceled...

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought you couldn't combine 2 discounts/deals.

Our flight to MCO was changed. Our arrival was 1:30pm and it changed to 9:30pm. We called last night and the wait was 2 hours. We lose a whole day of our vacation with that flight.

Wow! Ours arrives at 4:45, so it's not great. But 9:30 is awful! Sounds like they made some really severe cuts to their schedule.

Same boat here with the flights. Already had 2 changes through JetBlue. I was surprised as we are still so far from actual dates. I think the uptick in travel plans has all the airlines rearranging their flights and openings. We went from "perfect" times to dreadful crack of dawn to now good again although our return home is earlier than I would prefer.

I have a feeling it will change again before mid-July!

Today was my ADR day and I’m so out of practice! It was definitely the toughest time I have had in a while, but it didn’t help that I recently changed my password and couldn’t remember it. By the time i reset my password it was almost 6:15. Nothing was working at first as I could see times for Sci Fi and then would get an error message after clicking on them. Each time I would go back and the times would creep further out and then eventually were unavailable. But in the end I got most of what I wanted, even Sci Fi and Ogas later in my week. Most importantly I got a reservation for Droid Depot on my son’s 7th birthday!

Ours changed on Southwest also but it seems I got the better end of the deal. We had non stop to arrive at 9:50 am and now we arrive at 8:15am (leave at 6am) non stop. I was grumbling a little because the airport is 1 1/2 hours from me, but guess I should be thankful.

ADR day for us today. It was a bit of a struggle.
The good . . . my wife got both of her top choices, 4th of July dinner at Liberty Tree, and a dinner in Mexico.
The kids. . . They were hoping for Be Our Guest and Beaches & Cream, but we were shut out of both. Even with an MK day as our last day at the end of our week, no BOG. Beaches & Cream stings a little too because we are staying at the Beach Club and were just hoping to be able to get some dessert late one night after a day at the parks, especially our AK day, which as of now will end at 6:00 PM. Sure wish the ice cream window would open back up . . . .
I was able to snag a Chef Mickeys for a late breakfast / early lunch on the last day, and we also were able to get Hollywood & Vine for the kids too on one of our HS days.
Looks like I'll be watching for the possibility of expanded capacity for restaurants and the cancellations on a daily basis now.
