****Official July 2021 Thread****

Hiiii! Jumping on the July train!
june 26 - July 4
celebrating both my daughters birthdays who will have their actual birthdays there during our trip! June 28th turning 8and July 2 turning 6.
Happy birthday to them! I am June 29!

Where do you guys like to eat at HS? We always struggle with food at that park. We usually eat at PizzeRizzo for lunch since they close early. We have two days planned for HS.

such picky eaters here. We normally do the character breakfast at Hollywood and vine bc there’s actually food my girls can eat there plus the characters. This trip we are trying mama melrose. People love 50s and sci fi but there’s nothing either me or my girls will eat there.

QS- the new place in TS land is pretty good- Woody's Lunchbox. Grilled cheese/BBQ/turkey sandwich or Totchos is the current menu. Plus, the lunchbox tarts! That lemon-blueberry one is really good! It's open for lunch from 10:45-8 currently. Also has breakfast hours.

Another vote for Woody's. We also really like Baseline Taphouse. Great charcuterie board and pretzels. If you want a quick bite though, you might consider the ABC Commissary. They've had some updated menu items that have been reviewed well lately. I haven't been there this year yet, but am planning on it.

Yep- we've usually done well at ABC Commissary as well.

We usually eat at Sci-Fi, Backlot Express, and Hollywood and Vine. I am struggling on where to eat on this trip as well since we will have a vegetarian with us as well as picky eaters. I think we will try Mama Melrose this trip.

Thrilled to join this thread!! Having my bachelorette party in WDW July 23-26th! Me, my two matrons of honor, and three bridesmaids will be visiting MK and Epcot. One of my gals is a first timer, several including myself have been many times, so we run the gamut of experience. I'm super excited to use the "beat the heat" tips in this thread!

ETA: we still haven't selected our resort, and we're hoping some summer discounts pop up to help us make up our mind!
ETA2: We decided on Coronado! And we added a day! July 22-26th. Really excited for our upcoming visit!

Looks like I'm going to have to start checking in here more frequently! Especially since five of our merry band actually get to say they're going to Disney next month!!! To quote an entirely appropriate meme: "I'm so happy and not at all jealous."
Just arrived! Ready for July 14 - ASMoviesView attachment 570948
Howdy, tinkerhon, and CONGRATULATIONS! It's a GREAT feeling, isn't it? I'll still wear that mask, but I'm looking forward to NOT having a heart attack when someone invades my social distance. :crazy2:

we’ve been a couple times with them already, but this is our first as Florida residents! Yay Florida resident rate!
oh and it’s a surprise trip!
Welcome aboard! Birthdays and a surprise trip? Does NOT get much more magical than that! Okay, maybe it does with that sweet sweet resident discount. :cool1:
Hello, joining in for July planning. Our last 3 trips (2017, 2018 and 2019) have been in August; but my son's soccer club is doing a summer camp in Orlando and we decided to go down a week before it starts for some Disney time. We're arriving July 9 and leaving (for his camp) on the 15th. His camp ends on the 18th. Our flight home is on the 19th (so much cheaper to fly on Mondays than Sundays) so we will go back for one more night, just for some relaxation and pool time before heading back to reality.
We're staying at Art of Animation and I'm so excited. We have not stayed there before. My daughter is a budding artist and finishing high school next month. For the night before we leave I haven't decided yet if we will return there or stay elsewhere.
THAT trip sounds like it was meant to be in terms of the timing! AoA looks so great and having music piped in to the WATER at The Big Blue Pool seems like just the craziest pixie dust Disney ever threw at anything!

I'm on the ABC Commissary bandwagon, followed closely by Backlot Express. That said, I really do want to try out Woody's and am hoping we FINALLY get to do so this trip.
July folks here!
We will be there July 16-24 split between BWI and Poly plus 2 nights at Uni. Can't wait!!
Hello hello! What a great split, best of both locations!

Oooo, bachelorette party at Food & Wine? I can see trouble coming a mile away. :cool1: Hopefully we'll see those discounts soon!!!

Hello again, July travelers! A moment many of us have been waiting for has arrived! :cool1::banana::jumping1::banana::cool1:

Save Up to 25% on Rooms at Select Disney Resort Hotels This Summer - Most Nights July 11, 2021 - September 29, 2021

I've added this to the front page, and I'm assuming there'll be an additional Passholder discount at some point, which I'll add as well. But hopefully this will help several of you get your plans finalized!

Speaking of finalizing plans, I'd love to hear from our early travelers how their ADR and Savi's / Droid Depot reservation experiences have been! My ADR is a week from today, and for the first time in forever (ha, see what I did there? :teeth:), I'm actually nervous about it. Such an adrenaline rush... :crazy2: I'd especially appreciate any info or tips for Savi's. I'm not having a complete meltdown over it since we're going to be there for longer than the average trip, and my hope is that will translate to availability, but these days I'm not counting on anything!!!

I’m super excited! I was able to snag a huge discount on the BWI part of our split stay. Woohoo!

Word is 'Ohana" opening in July !!!
I'm hoping it's open for at least part of our trip. I'm also trying to hold out hope for more places to open now that they are restarting the college program- and maybe we'll see a dining plan...
