We just added two nights on to the front of our trip at Saratoga, the rest at BLT. Considering a DVC add on at SS and want to check it out first. Moved to BLT to take advantage of park hoppers and easy meals at MK or monorail resorts if we need to.

So now checking in 7/20 and out on the 29th, longest stay for us on property ever! We had to shift dates a little forward as well to accommodate an earlier start to the school year here.

I would say to make sure you bring an Insulated Water bottle with a nice soft handle and with a flip up straw to be able to slip it under your mask to stay hydrated - Free Ice Water is a must

Hubby and I had a nice trip last September. It wasn't July hot but it was pretty warm! I echo the need for bringing your own insulated water bottles. Ours are the metal variety and they tend to be heavy but I make dh carry the backpack that houses those, lol! We bought the cooling towels off Amazon and it was tons cheaper than the WDW variety. Those and the personal neck fans and we were pretty ok with the heat.

Chris Ehlers and ksromack, I've added your excellent advice to our tips on the front page. And as soon as I'm done here, I'm off to do a bit of Amazon shopping!!!

Have they posted a menu for Cape May?

They have, and my jaw hit the floor when I saw the breakfast pricing. $25 for adults and $14 for kids? That's it??? For all that??? We'll be eating there at least once!!!

I'm... not sure how I feel about this. Not that I don't love The Incredibles but this seems like kind of a random pairing. What does everyone else think?

I think if they are going to redo the resort with that theme, it makes sense to include a restaurant as well. I expect 'Ohana to have a Moana theme when it reopens (though I hope they keep Stitch there as well!). What I'm wondering, though, is if it is just a re-theme or if it will be an actual character meal. Is there any other resort with 2 character meals??

Howdy, July Friends! I'm not sure if it's indicative of anything at all, but last night I could easily have made Savi's reservations for the day after our arrival, and had my choice of times. I decided to postpone it until our second HS day since I suspect the guys are going to want to get in as many rides as possible on our first. Then this morning ADRs were a snap; got absolutely everything I wanted when I wanted it, with the slight exception of our arrival day (wanted Via Napoli, had to go with Biergarten and not quite the time I wanted, but as we're getting in on a Friday, I'm not surprised). Hoping that it might be a reflection of how many guests will be there at that time, but operating on the assumption it doesn't mean much.

ADR Day! Being on the west coast means I'm awake at 3am, but good news is I got everything I wanted. Even decided last minute to snag Oga's at closing time.

I wouldn't say it went smoothly though. The app wouldn't work at all, so I used my laptop. I kept getting errors or no times available, just kept checking and finally got times to choose from. Then I reserved Sci Fi on our AK day and had to fix that. Happy that it's over and I won't have to stalk any hard to get reservations this time.

Yes! Join the “Official July 2021 thread”. In my experience it rains most afternoons in July at least for a little bit.

We’ve had days where it rained on and off all day but typically there are afternoon showers that clear up after an hour or so. We always plan for rain and have ponchos, umbrellas, etc.

Expect it to at least rain every afternoon, and be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't.

Just heard Pete’s show regarding today’s earning’s call. I am not feeling good about my upcoming July trip… increasing crowd level, limited rides/restaurants/shows, possibility of lifting mask mandates (my kids are too young to get vaccinated), no FP+…. Doesn’t quite sound fun to me.

We're in the same boat with unvaccinated kids. The capacity vs. experiences available question had already been worrying me...if there aren't masks, we'll need to pull the plug. Disappointing but we wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy it.
