****Official July 2021 Thread****

Not knowing your comfort level, budget, or the details of your trips, I'd suggest looking at any options for a hotel that has an outside room entrance, like Old Key West. Rent a car instead of taking public transportation. Only eat at locations that are outside. I think there are still ways to have a great vacation!

How are ADRs going? What's been hardest to book? I'm under the 10 day mark and am putting my battle plan together.
Did mine yesterday and didn't have any issues. I had to refresh Hollywood and Vine at DHS to find a breakfast, but finally did. Had to do Oga's in the am later in the week, but got that as well. Tutto Italia also was a little limited on our first couple days. It wasn't as tough to get what I wanted as I anticipated.

Based on Chapek's statement about summer during the earnings call, I'm anticipating more restaurants opening before we go- and more capacity added to the ones that exist. Hoping for Ohana...waiting to see what else is in store.

Is there a canceled ADR July thread somewhere? I'm envious of those who didn't have trouble getting what you wanted for their July trip. I wasn't so fortunate 😫

I'm also concerned about the park increasing capacity without fastpass, character lines, etc. Hopefully we'll get an announcement soon in time to make a decision about the trip.

Hi everyone! I, too, am going in July. I’m living/working overseas and due to Covid restrictions I have not been able to go home to Virginia to see my daughters in 18 months. I am so excited to go home for a visit! So I felt like a WDW/Universal trip was in order! It’s been six years since my last WDW trip, but since then I’ve been to all the international Disney parks.

We'll be at the Polynesian from July 23 -26th. Really hoping for 'Ohana as well, but it will be fine either way. This is our first trip as a family of 4 at the Poly so a quick 4-day weekend was in order. I guess I didn't realize F&W started so early. That is a very pleasant surprise. Now I hope the EP monorail is running by then. It will be HOT in July, so plenty of pool time will be in order as well.

Think of it this way, more time for things to open up!!! (in the same boat, arrive July 17th)
My DH is being a pessimist saying it will be the opposite - everything will open; infections will skyrocket because of the people that refuse to be vaccinated and we will return to more draconian ways by the time July rolls around.

As of May 15, 2021, Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs will no longer require guests to wear masks when outdoors.
However, masks will still be required at Disney’s theme parks when guests are indoors, when guests are in the queue for attractions, and when guests are experiencing attractions. Masks will also be required while guests are using Disney transportation, including transportation entrances.
While guests must still wear masks indoors, they may remove them when actively eating or drinking while stationary. Guests may also continue removing masks while visiting the pools.

I'm so jealous that you're staying at the Poly! I would love to, but I can't afford it. My girls are grown now so we always get two rooms. I love that the rooms are Moana-themed. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Thanks! We’ll be on the DVC side so no Moana theme. But it is a fantastic resort. I hope you get to visit someday.

July 14-22 Saratoga springs
Welcome to our group! (LOVE your name!!!! :teeth: )
Is there a July 2021 group? Does it rain daily in July?
Ummm... o_O
Expect it to at least rain every afternoon, and be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't.
Exactly. Ponchos and/or umbrellas in the park bags at all times. :thumbsup2
Can I join in? 7/20-7/25 at Boulder Ridge. Our first time on site!
Oooo, and at such a gorgeous resort, too! Welcome aboard!!! :goodvibes
Thanks for the link! I've posted it on the front page along with the discounts and events. :thanks:

I am all kinds of jealous! The parks in Asia look completely amazing. :tink:Post when you've chosen your dates and resort and I'll add you to the guest list!

Howdy!!! Based on all the news that came out this week, 'Ohana seems like a natural for a summer opening, IMHO, and I am right there with you about the EP monorail. Crossing fingers for it! ::yes::
It seems like July is so far away with Memorial Day still in the future.
Could not agree more!!! :crazy2:

Well, there it is. I think we all kind of knew it was coming, although I have to say I was surprised they moved on it that quickly. Again, this is only my uneducated opinion, but if capacity isn't up to at least 50% by the time we arrive, I will eat that mask I don't have to wear outside (although I will still have one in my pocket to wear inside :P). Hopefully that also means more restaurants and fewer capacity restrictions at the pools.

Bottom line, July Friends, we have plenty of time to prepare or, if it's what's best for us and our families, change our plans. I realize there are people on both sides of the fence about the masks, but let's please take that discussion to any of the other threads dedicated to the topic. :flower: There are lots of positives to focus on, and for me, whatever version of Disney awaits,

Oh that good news on the mask changes! I’m comfortable taking our kids in July if masks are still required inside. And it’ll be nice to use our own discretion outside in the heat. Like if we’re on a pathway back to the hotel, it’ll be really nice to not make the kids wear them.

So here’s something interesting that just happened. Just received a call from Disney about our upcoming stay at the end of June in a water view yacht club room. Go on...I’m listenin. They want to make me an offer. Move to boardwalk for a water view room for $100 off per night (so $800 savings). I said no thanks. This is our first time staying at yacht club and we are staying there for the pool. Now it has me thinking how overbooked yacht club is.
