July 14 - dinner at Via Napoli
July 16 - lunch at Le Chefs, dinner at Rose and Crown
July 17 - dinner at Mama Melrose's
July 18 - breakfast at Kona Cafe, lunch at Liberty Tree

Any opinions on other Epcot eateries?

I had an amazing lunch at Tutto Gusto in January, it doesn't take ADRs but I went at 11:30 on New Years Eve and it was empty! I had two of the bruchettas- The eggplant Caponata (AMAZING!) and the standard tomato (Bruschetta di Capri) plus a glass of wine and was very happy!

I still feel like an honorary July person! Everyone have a fantastic vaca.. We have 3 weeks to go prior to leaving for our crazy spring break trip.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards Nancy

You can come back anytime Nancy. I hope you have a wonderful spring break. I am sure you guys will have a wonderful time.

I'm excited to join your group...now I'm off to read the posts!

:welcome: I have added all your information to the list. We just did a kid free trip in November for our 10 year anniversary. It was so nice. It is a whole different kind of Disney vacation!

I figured that would be the way it was with my Inlaws, but to not even want to set foot in the park with the 9 and 6 year old children? Wow, that just blew me away. They are very set in their ways, and everything is always about them, so I am not really surprized... would have loved at least ONE day with them to show them the magic.

My Pop ( father in law) has agreed to go to EPCOT. Brother in law will go along too Im sure. He is a scientist so we lured him in with that angle. He is a really fun guy so I hope we can get him to tour with us. Husband is completely on my side so far, and says we are getting a 6 day PHP for the four of us and just doing what ever we want. We're also staying three or four days after his parents leave Orlando to finish out our tickets, see more family, and just enjoy not being in NJ. LOL!

Boo! I know how you feel though. Most of my family and my husband's family for sure, does not appreciate our love of Disney. Luckily, my mom will go with us and seems to enjoy it, even if it is mainly for seeing the excitement of the kids. I grew up in NJ. Althought I didn't hate it, I understand the need to get away. lol.

Yum! I love Via Napoli. It was wonderful. We really enjoy it. We used to enjoy Le Cellier a lot but I am not sure how I feel about it becoming a signature meal for lunch too. Don't think we will use the two credits for it.

Ohh! We are planning on arriving on July 20th and are staying at Shades of Green! So excited...it's DS and DD's first time...my DH's too! pixiedust:

Oh, forgot to mention exact dates. We should be coming in at July 20 and leaving on July 27th. I haven't secured any ADR's yet, but hope to do the Royal Table for lunch one day. We have Breakfast and Dinner included at SoG so we hope to do mostly lunch dining experiences.

Can't wait to dive into the boards to do more planning!

I've never heard of Shades of Green... I am taking it that is an off site resort? We are also staying off property in my Inlaws timeshare swap.

I sent the Disney Passporter 2013 to my inlaws, they should be receiving it today... :littleangel: I got mine today and can't wait to dive into it and read the new stuff. I can just picture my 75 year old Father in law picking up the book and asking his wife "What the HECK did she just send us?" LOL!:lmao::lmao:

Shades of Green is a military resort. It's right but the poly and one of the golf courses. It's really nice.

Yup, it's the resort that is run completely by the military. You have to meet eligibility to be able to book there, but it's really nice. The rooms are apparently the nicest in the area. But, some of the down sides is that staying there, you can't do dining plans or have free parking at the parks. Oh well! The price on the room alone is worth it. We are going to be staying there for the same price as it would be to stay at a value resort and the rooms are comparable to the deluxe resorts. :goodvibes

Wow, Shades of Green sounds amazing! I remember the days of getting military perks... used to travel wtih my grandparents and stay in all the military hotels as a kid...

I am thinking of getting three 7 day PHPwaterpark passes, and 1 SEASON PASS for myself... I could use my pass for the parking, and then I'd get in free when I return in October for my birthday, and then again next March whe we go for a conference.... I wonder if it will pay though? I will have to do some math.... if I have a Season pass I can use it as an excuse to go visit my relatives in Orlando and hit the parks!

Anyone ever gotten a Season pass?

My mom has the FL resident annual pass and she loves it. If you're going to the parks for 7 days that would be a lot of money saved in parking. It was 14 dollars a day in December. From what I've heard the annual pass breaks even at 10 days, plus there is the always nice merchandise discount (10% I believe). I guess it all depends on how many more days you will do after your July vacation.

We are getting annual passes this year!!! Because we bought the condo and will be visiting 3x this year. I am so excited. DH will get a FL resident pass next year. I priced it out- I thought if you go at least twice and get PH it's better to get the AP. The only times we have gone twice in one year, it was never planned so we didn't think to buy APs. Sure wish we would have before.
Are you getting the AP or a seasonal one? There's a difference. The seasonal blocks out July ( not sure if that's just a FL res. one).

The seasonal pass blocks out JULY? That means my Florida relatives wont be able to come to Disney with us on their annual passes. They all have the seasonal ones - what are the random chances of that. Darn....

I would probably get the Seasonal, My only times to return would be October 2013 and March 2014. To be honest, this July trip was not of my planning - it was my inlaws choice for our yearly timeshare vacay. They did it as a favor to me and my kids, as their timeshare homebase is Hilton Head. I am not a fan of extreme heat, so Im just trying to make the best of the only time we could all get off from work, school, etc.

Do you have to be a Florida resident to get a seasonal pass? I never knew this was an option but then again I'm not a Florida resident.

I agree! Le Cellier USED to be a must do for us every trip, but not now that the menu is all day and is so expensive. We used to go for the latest lunch possible and be able to get a good meal. Now, it's just not worth it. Boo!

I looked it up again to make sure. I don't want to give anyone misinformation.
Seasonal passes block out July and do not include parking :(
I think you definately want the annual pass not seasonal pass.
On Disney website just click on tickets then buy annual passes. It will show you all options and what they include. HTH. :)

Thanks DD! Still trying to convince DH that an annual pass will be a great gift to me... ;)

If it wasn't for the price of plane tickets from Newark to MCO, we would go more often.

That's exactly how we felt. Living so far away doesn't help my Disney addiction lol :)

I see everyone is planning out there trip as in what they are doing each day. I guess I need to go ahead and make plans!!

...currently trying to rent points for July 15-18. Wish me luck... it's turning out to be harder than I originally thought it would be. I am going to attempt through David's today. I am actually finding I am quite late to the game. Oh well, Im sure I'll fall into something by July. If not we'll just stay where ever. That's why all my ADR and plans are going to be up in the air for quite some time.

Right now just trying to get my surgeries scheduled and out of the way so I can feel a little more secure in making my plans!
