49 Days!:cool1::cool1:

Aren't online ADRs wonderful!!! I love being able to change!! I am really glad I read some great reviews on Tutto Italia today, since we now have an ADR there. I am still debating Chef Mickeys.

maybe the interest might at least spark an explanation from Disney? Thought I'd recruit more members.

Wonderful news! We are adding two days to the beginning of our trip (it's now July 8-19). We will be spending 11 nights this trip! Woo hoo!!!!!! Now I need to update my ticker.....:banana::banana::banana:

Just thought I would post a link to our tripreport from last July 4th. May help to take away some of the worries about crowds and wait times. The longest we waited for any ride was 20 minutes and we did EVERYTHING at EVRY park.

Send me a PM if you have any questions.

This year we are making our first trip to Disneyland in August:cool1:

Thanks for the info. Hopefully, that will be the case THIS July! Have a great trip to Disneyland.

Did the calendar change or you just wanted the magic of planning again? :lmao:
:rotfl:No calendar changes--I was just looking over my plans and realized I didn't have a night for the MSEParade:eek:. Had to fix that!

You are all set! Congrats on scoring the 8:05 at CP this close!!
I know--I can't believe it. Only 48 days!:cool1:

LOVE them online! We had the IPO at Poly do a bunch but I feel silly calling them and asking them to switch things around so much.

Ooh--going to check it out, thanks for posting!

Today we paid off our trip!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

So we decided to go to Disney on our son's 11th birthday!!! We recieved the pin for free QSDP and figured why not! Our son has always wanted to go on vacation during his birthday but we never like to go to Florida during the summer months, even though we went on the 7 night Western Carribean cruise this past August and it was not that bad, we stayed in the pool or ocean all the time! I hope the crowds are not bad (we have been in the World during Presidents week so we figured it could not be any worse). Looking forward to Typhoon Lagoon, have not been there since 2004 and we loved it then :yay:

P.S. We will be staying at POP (our first time, time to give ALL STARS a rest) July 9-18:banana:

The crowds are not that bad in July, as long as you get to the parks early. In the morning we found it to be very manageable, and not nearly as hot as the mid-afternoon. We normally take a break by 2PM, so we are in the resort relaxing at the hottest point of the day. The boys sometimes nap, or sometimes they will just relax (they're only 3 and 5, so the heat really knocks them out, even more than it does to us!). I like to shower and refresh during that time too, then we either go to a resort for dinner or back to the park, once it starts to cool down a bit. When we leave the park in the mid-afternoon for our break, we are walking against all the crowds of people coming into the park! A lot of people get park hoppers so they are coming from a different park, and a lot of people like to sleep late on their vacation and go to the parks in the afternoon.

You'll have a wonderful trip, it will be tons of fun and your son will enjoy his birthday at WDW! :)

Welcome! I have added you to the resort list on page 100. We are trying AS Sports for the first time - we usually do POP! You will like Pop a lot - very fun pools and the food court is really nice.

Bonnie,
Your plan is exactly what we were planning! Thanks for the reinforcement:)

No problem!! For us, it's the way to go! It's easy for us though, since our kids are only 3 and 5 and so they get up early in the morning. During the school year, DH and I wake up at 5AM and we wake the kids up at around 5:40. We leave the house at 6:30 to take them to my mother's house and then we leave for work. So, when we make the drive down to Florida and leave the house at 6AM, it's not so bad for us! And going to the parks early is not bad either!

I'm a bit worried about us in July. We have a 4yo and 1yo but our normal waking is only 8am, breakfast around 9am. We are night owls, I'm usually up until at least midnight. And if I push DH to get up early and moving too much while on VACATION, he'll be a grumbling mess.

Oh, well, I'm sure we'll figure something out ... at least we have our GAD FPs, so worst case, we get on 6 rides each day.:rotfl2:

ohhhhh that's where the comfy strollers come in handy.

dd slept hours throughout out trip.

we loved it as much as she did lol

kurby - your daughter is so precious! Too bad you can only get away with napping in a stroller when you're little! :lmao:

We had an awesome dinner at Les Chefs when DD was 4 and tucked under the table in her stroller sound asleep. She fell asleep before we went in and only started to wake up as we were leaving the restaurant! It was great because there is no way she would have wanted to eat anything other than chicken nuggets at that age so after she woke up we brought her over to American Adventure and she got her nuggets, happy as a clam.

Maybe you could try going to bed earlier a little while before your trip, like a week or so. I don't know if that fits into your schedule, but if you can swing it, that may get you guys used to getting up a little earlier. There are also ways to save time in the morning at WDW. On our last trip, we kept breakfast items in our room at Pop Century, and we rented a fridge for the trip, so we could keep milk for my little one (he was only a year old at the time and still had his bedtime bottle). We were in Boca Raton before Disney, so we stopped at Publix and picked up some packaged bagels (my older one has always loved those!), some cereal bars and cereal and we were all set. For the little one, I had bought him Gerber fruit and cereal bars, and he would nibble on a little bit of a bagel. We got milk when we arrived at Pop Century, can't remember where we bought cream cheese though, LOL! DH and I have one of those hot pots, that boils water, so we brought Folgers Singles with us for our morning coffee, some splenda packets, and of course we had milk in the fridge already.

On this trip, we have 3 character breakfasts planned out of a 10-night trip. It will be a little easier since we are in a 1-bedroom at BWV, so we have the kitchen to have breakfast. We're going to do the same thing though, keep quick breakfast foods on hand and eat before we leave the room. It saves a lot of time in the morning.

We don't go to bed that early at home even though we get up at 5 everyday. We aim for 10PM but it rarely happens. I am content if I go to bed by 11PM, and there are many nights DH is up past midnight. And we work out regularly too! Somehow we are OK doing things like this. But our kids go to bed early at night so we have our evenings. They are in bed by 7:30 every night because of how early they get up. At Disney last time, we were able to see some of the Epcot fireworks from our room at POP, so I let my older one stay up to watch and as soon as it ended he went to bed. He was fine the next day going to the park early. My little one didn't make it though, he fell asleep every night earlier! We also didn't go to any of the nighttime entertainment since every morning was an early morning. This time we are going to try to go to the parade at MK when we can sleep in the next morning if we want to and we don't have to get up to am alarm. We have 7 days at the parks, but a 10-night stay so we have some days without plans.

I think you will still be fine - we do not get up too early either, after all it is vacation. Even when we do, all four of us have to shower and eat, and DH takes FOREVER! We have not felt like we miss anything. Of course, we do tend to stay in the parks later at night too. Maybe once or twice in a trip, we will make an effort to get up earlier and get moving quicker.

Sometimes, when I am at the park and see the sleeping babies in the stroller, I get really jealous :lmao: ! She is very precious!!

Yeah, not a bad idea about trying to get to bed earlier. I know if we get morning Kindergarten, she'll have to be at school by 7:50am, so we'll definitely have to change our schedule.

Our biggest thing will be to have "everything" ready for the next day before we go to bed. We'll be in a 1br at BWV, too (tag! you're it!) :goodvibes:rotfl:

We're doing a 9 night stay but only 7 days in the park, and about 3 of those are only 1/2 days anyway. So I'm trying to keep it easy ...

I hear you on the DH! Mine takes a long time, too. And it's not like he's primping or anything -- just unorganized, slow to think what should be done next, etc. He calls it his morning fog!
