i kinda dig the rain at WDW!
Last year we were at DTD at Disney Quest and it rained for about 45 min...it was a good hard rain. All the people left and we cruised DTD with no crowds



btw, can you do a room request before you get to your resort or do you do it when you check in?

I don't mind the rain either...especially since DH and I bought disney rain jackets last year! We were so excited that there was the slightest drizzle one morning in Epcot so we could wear them! And you are right! People clear out!

I put in my room request when I made the reservation. I've heard it's best to do with within a week of your trip because that is when your reservations gets sent to the actual resort. You could do it when you check-in too. Even if they already assigned you a room, they are pretty good about finding a room that meets your requests IF there is one available.

exactly 7 weeks from this very moment, I will be on my way to Epcot for dinner at the Rose and Crown followed by a viewing of my favorite Disney night time event ~ Illuminations!!

Disney Y.E.S. programs are now accessible to students in first grade through 12th grade who are not traveling with a group. On the dates specified below the Disney Y.E.S. programs listed will be available for individuals to enroll. (A minimum number of participants must be reached for each program to be activated. Purchase of a ticket does not ensure program activation. You will be contacted if the minimum is not reached for your selected program.) A responsible adult over the age of 18 from each family must accompany the students attending the program.

Tickets are deeply discounted and one class is included. ($26 for additional classes) One parent can go with each child in the class, AND you can get discounted tickets forr your entire party--not just those in the class. I'm thinking of trying to get the kids in Career Discovery or Capticating Moments: Images with Impact. THey look like really neat classes and for our family, we'll be able to get 9-day premium tix (with PH and WP&M) for about $200/person! Check it out.

We officially check in at WDW in less than 2 months!!!!!!!!

I just had to share that! I know it seems I am on here like every freakin' hour updating how much longer we have! I have 19 days of teaching left , a presentation at a professional development workshop in June (I was asked today to do it!), my birthday, Father's Day, my dad's 60th birthday, my older son's karate tournament, my nieces' piano recital and dance recital, my boys' end-year show at their school (all 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds...cutest thing EVER!!!), my parents' anniversary and DBIL's birthday, plus the 4th of July...all before our trip!!!! A lot to squeeze into what is starting to feel like a short time before we leave for Florida!!! Busy, with all good things though and that's as it should be!

The weather here in NY is supposed to be beautiful this weekend! I'm taking my older son to the school where I work for a musical production of Me and My Girl tomorrow afternoon...there is a special theater and music program in my school and the shows are fantastic! Sunday we are going to the aquarium with DMIL and DFIL. It should be a really fun weekend!
