I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with the online check in - it worked fine for me without a hitch. It even showed that I had requested a ground floor room.

Yeah, We could just take over the August board and all discuss our trips over there

So now that we are 10 days out, I can use the online check-in system? I can't remember if I requested a room closer to transportation or not, but I am hoping that it will let me request one. I suppose that if I have any problems, I will just call the resort directly and make sure that they at least put it in the system. I know that you don't always get the room that you want (in regards to location), but it sure doesn't hurt to try!

Just did online check-in w/ the airline. Did resort check-i 9 days ago. I'm all checked in but not there yet Wish I was already there, but tomorrow is another day. At this time tomorrow we will be at Disney World.

On line check in still will not let me on!! Says it is unavailable to please try back later! I called and spoke with a CM at the resort to put in my request. I must be using a different web site than everyone else or the whole world is against me! Lois

Hey not the whole world cuz I'm not against you.
Now I couldn't even find the online check in on the wdwresort.com so I googled walt disney world online check in and it took me there and worked fine. - You might try that.

Tried it and still says it is unavailable. I Just don't get it unless I am just hitting it at bad times. Kinda like trying to get through on a busy phone line. I sure don't have the time to conbtinue to try to get in. I am happy (kinda)that most of you have been able to get in and get checked in. Lois

I had to because DD who just turned 6 last week is now mad at me. Why? Cause I did NOT book H & V breakfast. I really thought she was too old for it. Apparently I thought wrong.


Okay I'm mostly packed. All that is left is to get DS to give me his bathing suit and footwear of some kind.

LOL Well, anyone going from July 19-25 will be able to easily find me with the glare from my uber white skin. Im skipping the spray tan and packing extra sunscreen. <--- That's not a headache. It's sunburn.

You and my DD10 have a lot in common -- she's as pale white as can be, except when she has a sunburn, in which case she's bright pink/red for about 24 hours and then white as white can be...other than new freckles!

On the Official Cake Thread said it is 250 pages. The original cake thread got closed and they opened a second one... part 2. At the end of the cake thread on page 250, the moderator commented that the thread was closing and a second one was opening. They also ended up splitting the cake thread into cake chat and cake photos.

This would be correct! Keep on chating and I bet we hit Part two before I get to leave. It is not a hard transition as I have been active on several threads that have moved onto part two or even three. Just a few more days to go! Lois

I think 250 pages is about the limit ..then the threads go wonky. I am in awe that we will probably have a "part 2" by the time I leave!

Will it be ok for us to do our trip reports here too? I also have become attached to this thread.. happy nice kind little thread where no controvery excists (other than the manliness of men in crocs)

A "town" one county over had their fireworks tonight, don't know why but they always do it on the 3rd?? They bring in carnival rides, bands, etc. as a free community event. We went just for the fireworks, and I had the sweetest Disney moment. Sophie, the two year old, held out her hands as they were falling and said she caught some pixie dust. She fell asleep in the car, still holding the pixie dust, put her in the bed, and she still clenched her little fist full of "pixie dust"!

One week from now I will be getting ready to leave, pouring Pine Sol in my toilets!!
