OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! The wait is on!!!

Good Morning everyone. For those who have already left I know you are having the time of your life. For those like mysele who leave in the next week please have safe travels and relax. It will all be ok.

I am not even begun to pack. Can only fit three of the 4 suitcases in the car. Two of them are very large and if we fill them they are too heavy. So we will take two medium sized ones, one large one and as many as 4 carry ons. We should be OK. We are only being 5 outfits each and doing laundry while we are there.

I have been picking up stuff that we will need little by little but I panic daily that I will forget something!!

For those who leave after some of us just think we will be in the mist of the Disney Blues and you will still either be there or have it to look forward to! Happy planning to all whenever your magic is to begin.

Now To get a spray tan today so I don't blind all of you with my uber white skin

just ordered my groceries to be delivered for when we get home !!

i really don't like going to the supermarket with jet lag + post-disney blues ... glad to pay a few £ more for it to be delivered to me!

one more thing off the 'to do' list!

(btw i included some mickey bars in my order!! they are much smaller than the wdw ones, but still make me smile )

Are you booked directly with Disney or through a TA. I can not get to on line check in and Disney's tech support just tells me it only save one minuite. This just isn'y fair!!!!

So I am going to call my resort and give them my request for this trip. If I can get that I will be happy. Lois

Lois - I booked through a TA and the link she gave me for online check-in is:
mydisneyreservation.com/guest

I was able to add in my cc# but could not request anything specific for our room. The TA then took care of this for me. There is a button on the link to add in any special celebrations you are having during your trip. Other than that, the most important info is the cc#.

We only have 3 days left until we head to LAX for our flight on Tuesday morning. We are staying near LAX so we hopefully will be far enough away from the MJ memorial at Staples; I'm sure we'll encounter plenty of traffic on our way down .

I wouldn't count on it if you booked through Disney!! I sure haven't had any luck been trying for 5 days now and it hasn't worked. I am very disappointed but now plan to call Allstar to put in my special request which is what is most important anyhow. I just expected more from Disney than to put something out that dose not work and not seem to care when it is reported. It is just sad. Lois

Have a great trip to all those with imminent departures! I hope everyone comes back and posts trip reports. I have gotten very attached to this thread - I hate to think it will be over. We are now leaving a day earlier - on Sunday July 12 so we can stop and visit DHs aunt on the way to Disney. Still have not packed yet We did print our mousekeeping envelopes this morning though.

Oh yes! The other day I found travel sized foot powder...it was like I won the lottery!!

That made me laugh at loud! It's good to know that there are others out there like me! Oh, and was the foot powder the yellow/orange bottle of Gold's foot powder? I saw a travel size bottle at Target.

I have heard that DVC can do online check in too... but I'm not sure. I don't think I want to try it. If I do, I will still be worried about my special request. I'm a people person. I'd much rather complete my check-in the old fashioned way. Besides, I just don't get it. How can you check in when you haven't even left your house yet! How does DISNEY know you'll actually get there?

LOL Well, anyone going from July 19-25 will be able to easily find me with the glare from my uber white skin. Im skipping the spray tan and packing extra sunscreen. <--- That's not a headache. It's sunburn.

Wow?! I wish there was some where around here that would delivery groceries - I'd sure utilize it. I think there was a trial of it in Austin Texas but it didn't go over well so - no online ordering with delivery. phewwew for me I quess

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with the online check in - it worked fine for me without a hitch. It even showed that I had requested a ground floor room.
