I don't doubt that we will be running into a part-two thread by the time I leave! :thumbsup2 We still have another 10 days to go. :sad2: But after midnight my time (which is only 1.5 hours away), we will only be 9 days away! Yahoooooooooooo!!!!!!! :cool1::banana::yay::woohoo:

I week from right now.... I'll Be Too Excited To Sleep!! We're leaving in a week!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: OMG.. I still have so much to do.:scared1:

I think 250 pages is about the limit ..then the threads go wonky. I am in awe that we will probably have a "part 2" by the time I leave!

Will it be ok for us to do our trip reports here too? I also have become attached to this thread.. happy nice kind little thread where no controvery excists (other than the manliness of men in crocs)

I agree with everyone!! We should definitely keep our thread going or extend it to part 2. I have learned so much from this thread!! I don't think I could have planned our trip without you all. :grouphug: I would love to do our trip reports here as well if it is possible. That way we don't all get loss among all the other posters. What do ya think?

We got a lot of things accomplished today!! We were about to head out when I heard some awful sounds coming from our brakes. So, guess who is out there right now putting on new brake pads..? DH of course. Glad we discovered we needed them before the trip. So, we took DH's truck and went to Bass Pro to get everyone some new crocs. Well, everyone got a new pair except for me. Instead, I got some really comfortable sandals that were on sale. They look kind of 'manly' but I don't care. I am more interested in comfort seeing how we will be walking ...miles... a day. Then, we stopped by CVS and got us a portable SunPass to use for the tolls. YAY! We finally got one. I have to get it set up now. Then, on our way to Sam's & Walmart we got into a finder binder.. A nice young man came in too fast and couldn't stop. Yeah it left a dent in DH's finder, not bad though. All I can think is if we had been driving my van, it would have done a lot more damage, and right before our trip too. So, I thank God that we were in his truck. Dh thinks he will be able to fix it. We shall see. Finally, we left that awful experience and went shopping. We got a case of diapers and wet wipes, a case of apple juice for DS (1). I thought I could take a couple of bottles into the park each day for him to drink. He absolutely loves apple juice. Also got batteries for our misting fans. I feel like we are almost done with shopping. I hope!!! DH & I got our clothes the other night. So, now everyone has new clothes and shoes. We still haven't gotten our Mickey Mail. I emailed TA and was told that Disney had been slow in sending it out to them. So, I was told that in another week I should be receiving it. Oh well, I will just have to wait. Huh?

I can't wait to hear from some of the others who are at WDW right now!! They, can share input and tips with the rest of us waiting when they get back. I'm so excited!

You and my DD10 have a lot in common -- she's as pale white as can be, except when she has a sunburn, in which case she's bright pink/red for about 24 hours and then white as white can be...other than new freckles!

We have always figured that someday, I will become 1 big freckle. :rotfl:

On a second note, we are taking the train to Disney. Other than coloring books and crayons for my 4yr old, do you guys have any suggestions to keep her busy?

We went just for the fireworks, and I had the sweetest Disney moment. Sophie, the two year old, held out her hands as they were falling and said she caught some pixie dust. She fell asleep in the car, still holding the pixie dust, put her in the bed, and she still clenched her little fist full of "pixie dust"!

That is the sweetest thing I think I have ever heard!

I have never been on a train before, but since you said that your DD will have crayons and coloring books I am assuming that there is a table for her to do this on.

My suggestions:

Puzzles - small ones
travel sized games - they have these at Target and probably Walmart
travel sized etch-a-sketch - endless hours of fun!
Paper dolls - yes, they still make these!
portable dvd player and some Disney dvds
Littlest Pet Shop travel/on-the-go tiny playsets

Hope this helps! :)

I usually lurk on the Disboutique thread. They are up to Part 15. Someone just has to open a new thread when this one gets to around page 250, because they'll lock it soon after that.

Hope everyone has a happy 4th!

On line check in still will not let me on!! Says it is unavailable to please try back later! I called and spoke with a CM at the resort to put in my request. I must be using a different web site than everyone else or the whole world is against me! Lois

Are you getting to the part where you put your number in, or just can't get in at all? Have you tried restarting your computer?

They have little magnetic "scenes" at stores like Wal Mart that would be great! They are in a little metal case, and the background is like a house or something, then the parts stay in the case and you move them around. My daughter loves these! She also like color wonder by crayola. Pipe cleaners are great, endless not too messy fun. Sticker books keep my girls busy! Also, my daughter has the Birnbaums for Kids book and she loves to look at the pictures and talk about what she is going to ride, etc.

Room request question, my AAA TA had it on the form I got, but it didn't show up when I did online check in, and there is no where to do it. For those of you that say you called yours in, have you done that before with success??

Happy 4th of July everybody!

I'm definitely attached to you guys, too. Got the car serviced today, good thing, we needed new front tires?

A "town" one county over had their fireworks tonight, don't know why but they always do it on the 3rd?? They bring in carnival rides, bands, etc. as a free community event. One week from now I will be getting ready to leaving, pouring Pine Sol in my toilets!! :rotfl:

"Pixie dust" -- that's so cute! Our town, for some strange reason, always does its 4th of July concert and fireworks on July 2nd. Odd!

OK, I'm going to ask a dumb question -- why will you be pouring Pine Sol in your toilets? I've never heard of that before.

Yup, Brie will end up like that before too much longer. She used to hate her red hair, green eyes, and freckles, but now she loves them -- so much so that she protests when I remind her to put on sunscreen and wear a hat -- she says she wants more freckles! LOL

At my Target they have some little Disney princess figurines in the checkout lines, $3.99 each, I think. Those would be fun to play with! I've seen Cinderella, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty, I think. I believe they have movable arms and heads.

I think it will make the house smell better when I get back. :lmao:

I know some of you have kids who just got out of school in the last couple of weeks. Guess what I did yesterday? Took DD10 and bought her new school clothes, backpack, and lunchbox...school starts for us the first week of August! In fact, we get home from our trip on Sunday, July 26 and my DH (a teacher) goes back to work the next day. *Sigh* So for us, our Disney trip signals the end of summer vacation -- in a very real sense!

Anyway, if you have young DDs and need some cute summer clothes at great prices, Limited Too (now called Justice) is doing a huge sale -- 40% off everything in the store and everything online, including clearance. We bought tons of stuff and got DD10 all outfitted for school....at least until late October/November when it will be time to start wearing long pants/long sleeves.

Picked up a few more pairs of shorts and t-shirts for her to wear to Disney, too. So she is now set.

My DD loves Justice! I may have to head overthere and check things out. I go back to work (school) August 4, so I know what you mean. :headache: Where has the summer gone???

That's my DD10's favorite store, too -- and we love it because she's a skinny minnie and they carry slims that usually fit her (except one pair of capris we really wanted yesterday -darn). For $236 we got her backpack, lunchbox, a dress, three pairs of jeans, four pairs of shorts, two pairs of capris, a zip-front hoodie, and seven shirts. Not bad! Plus they're giving out J. Bucks ($25 off $50 pre-tax btween July 24 and August 12) and Fun Cards ($15 off $40 pre-tax between August 18 and November 3) -- those come in handy for Christmas shopping!

It was so exciting to wake up this morning and think, "This time next week, I'll be at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique with my princess!"

Tomorrow, I pack. Since I work full time, that's really the only time for me to get it done, though I know I'll be throwing stuff in at the last minute. Nana takes the car to be checked on Monday...I'll stop at the bank on my lunchbreak...getting ready for a Disney trip is a big production! Not like in college when I could just decide to drive down for the weekend when class got canceled, lol.

Our town isn't having fireworks this year. Budget cuts and all...it will be the first time that I can remember that we haven't had fireworks over our beautiful bayou, but I consol myself that we're about to see some awesome fireworks displays. Plus, next year, we'll be celebrating the 4th on a Disney cruise, so I've hedged my bets!

I would love it if we all shared our trip reports on one thread. How fun would that be - We'll probably end being on like a part 15 after that :lmao:

AWWW how sweet is that. I think I'm gonna try to catch some pixie dust of my own tonight;)

Well at least you'll look like you have a tan then:lmao:

Also Children's PLace is having their Monster sale now - Tshirts for like $5.00 shorts for $7.00. I got like 20 items for my DS mostly but couple things for DD (she's also a justice girl) for less than $100.00
