Okay, I have a crazy idea. So we have our "Who's Going?" list and we have our ADR list but I keep thinking, we could pass right by a fellow July Diser and never even know it! So here's the idea.

We should all post a thumbnail picture of ourselves! That way we'll know who to look for at if we see someone is going to be at our same resort or at the same restaurant.

We need to organize it though, because there are just so many of us. I really haven't thought it out much further than that so if anyone has any ideas, I'd like to hear them. Like, maybe we can organize it by resort? Or by week we'll be there? If I was in charge of the Who's Going list, I'd even say maybe I could add the pic next to each person's name but I can NOT ask Lois to do that!

So what do you all think? Depending on how we decide to organize it, someone would have to be in charge of each part. Like, if we did by resort, I'd take the Poly or if we did by week, I'd take my week too...

Here's something interesting - I plugged out dates (June 28-July 12) into the WDW reservations system and there were openings at every resort, in almost every room category.

We've always gone in late June or July and I've never seen that much availability. I'm wondering if that means the parks will be less crowded, especially on the 4th of July.

Well, that IS interesting. According to Disney's financial reports, gate entrances actually are up... but park revenue is down---big time. That means that actually more people are coming through the gates and dining less and buying less when they get there. Now, it takes a few weeks for a financial report to be published, so this information would be for the past year and not include the absolute now. They wouldn't be offering the 4/3 deal if they didn't have empty rooms to fill. The amount they're "giving away" per ticket is really only about $16 because that is about the cost difference between 4 day and 7 day admission. They're trying to fill empty rooms in hopes that if they come (at a reduced cost to them).. they will spend. I've never come in the summer before, but I can compare it to Spring Break (which typically is crowded) and Thanksgiving, a popular holiday time to come.

I'm going in July as well. Staying at SSR for my 1st DVC stay. Celebrating my b-day while I'm down there. Dates are July 11 -18 (big celebration is the 17th....)

Welcome to our World. You'll be at SSR the same time as me. We're going July 12-19th. This is our 4th DVC trip and the 3rd at SSR. We did one at OKW last Oct.

I plan to hang a lime green Mickey head banner (that I'm going to make) from my window (if it would be visible) or balcony. Unless we're 1st floor which would make the window the only option. We did request 1st floor in the Grand Stand Area. You might find me at the Grand Stand Pool with my 7 yr old daughter and 10 year old niece.

Nikki, I think that is a GREAT idea. Saying I look like Snow White... doesn't help. lol I think we should do it by week, that way, we can have an idea of who to look out for not only in our resort, but in the parks or ressies.

Oh go ahead and ask but I am not sure I know how do do it. Some of us already have small pictures in our siggy. That would be the easiest to do. But if everyone wants pictures in the list somehow I could figure it out. They would have to post them, then I could save the to my pictures and put into my photobucket and finally post by the name in the who's going list. My fear is if we do that it will make the list TOO long and unmanageble. What does everyone else want?

How bout if we each Post a picture ourselves that we each can save. In the post we post our first names, dates we will be there and the resort we will be at. Then each person can creat what they want to help recognize each other. If we have the name tags that Tom made or the lime green Mickey heads it will help as well. I would love to run into everyone but don't expect that.

I have been debating on the photo cd for awhile.....this does clear it up a little bit, I guess my thing is I would love this but I still want to bring my own camera, I love to take pics on the rides though to......We will probably get it, just gotta convince my Fiance that its a good idea....oh and Im going To DISNEYWORLD!!!

I just checked out the ADR list again to see if I'd be dining w/ anyone. I can meet 5 different disers possibly at the restaurants.

I saw that we'll both be at Coral Reef around the same time on the 24th! Our ADR is for 5:55 and yours is for 6:10!

Dolfinjuls -- I'll watch for you at Coral Reef...we're pretty easy to spot...my DH is 6'3", big, and bald (LOL -- he's hard to miss), DD14 has shoulder-length blonde hair and bright, huge blue eyes, and DD10 has shoulder length red hair and green eyes. Me, I'm pretty boring...average height, brown hair and brown eyes.

We'll watch for you! I'm planning to have a LGMH on our park bag.

I got my disneys magical express in the mail Friday! Awesome but I havnt gotten my vacation information yet.... hmm

Should that be coming soon?

Oh and since when do they only magical express one bag per person? That made me sad lol

I asked that. They said that is because the airlines mostly limit you to one bag per person. They don't want to waste tags. They said if you need more, they'll gladly send more. They used to send bright yellow tags, two per person. That waisted alot of tags. I guess it saves them money. And what saves Disney money saves us money in the long run.

Yes, you can get more than one card. Be sure to take a pic of the number on the back or someone else has suggested texting it to yourself so if you lose the card, you can still pull up the pics.

We did the photopass last year and brought our own camera as well. We even had the photopass photographers take some pics w/ our cameras!

Your family does have a good assortment of colors & sizes huh?
I'm pretty boring looking as well...brown hair & eyes w/ glasses. My dh is black and avg height. Our daughters are 4.5 and 2 and very light skinned w/ very curly, dark brown hair. We're kinda easy to spot in a crowd too...plus I'm sure you'll be able to hear my kids from wherever you're sitting in the restaurant. Sorry about that in advance! If we figure out a way to post pics of everyone I'll put one up of us!

I wonder if they give out the tags based on who you're flying. We're flying Southwest and they allow two bags per person, and we received two tags per person from ME?
