I think it is now current. Please if I have it wrong for whatever reason please let me know. I had to go back through many pages and I may have missed some details.

Thanks for adding me to the list. We're staying at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas again. 30 days and I'll be at Disney!! :cool1: I cannot wait to start packing! Since it's a surprise trip, I can't without someone realizing something's missing! DH works a 24 hour shift on 7/11 so I'll do what I can then. We're having DS4's birthday party on 7/12 so that will pretty much take that entire day. 7/13 I'm going to work and 7/14 I'm taking off so I can pack all day long. When DH gets home a little after 5, he's been instructed that he'll come in, change his clothes in the boy's bathroom (front of our house so he can't see anything missing from his dresser or anything!) and needs to get in the van as we can't be late. He thinks we're going to have dinner with someone "famous". My "plan" is to stop somewhere around Jacksonville (he's sure this is where we're going!) to take a bathroom break. When they come out, give him and DS4 a card with a puzzle inside that I've made with a picture of something from Disney in it. I want to make DH's harder to figure out and DS4's something easy that he'll get as soon as he starts working on it. Then, we'll pop into McDonald's, grab something to eat and get back on the road!

We'll be in Disney 7/14-19, work 7/20-24, DH works a 24 hour shift on 7/25, then we drive to MI after I pick DH up 7/26 (about 18 hours with the boys and having to stop for potty breaks!) to stay until 8/2. We won't be home the second half of July! :rotfl: 7/25 will be my cleaning/laundry day to repack everything from Disney back up to go to MI for the week.

If anybody is awake now... History Channel is showing Modern Marvel's Disney World. It is a new one too. Updated. Not the same as the one they sell on DVD. It covers Wall-E and the Toy Story Ride. :happytv:

Oh I'm sorry I missed that! I'll have to see if I can find it on again!! I just looked on tvguide.com and didn't see it listed any time soon...if someone else finds it, will you post the date/time please?? :goodvibes

this is making me so excited!!!!!! I think pics would be great except I look more like pooh than snow white.

thank you for your help! photopass really sounds like a good idea. it would be nice to go to the parks without our cameras and have pictures of everyone in our party. i am going to ask my friends if they are willing to split the cost of the cd. i have one more question though. do we all need to use the same photopass card? or can more than one card be put onto the cd?

We pre-ordered the CD and book for our honeymoon. We were never really into photopass but we always bought one or two pics and would up spending like $30 on two pictures. We figured for our honeymoon, we'd be able to get more pictures of the two of us if we really took advantage of photopass. Plus, the pre-order deal is a good one AND a while back, someone posted a Disney Visa code. I think I paid around $120 for both the CD and book! GREAT deal! PLUS, if you decide you don't like the pictures once you get back, you can cancel and get a refund. AND YES, you can use as many cards as you have, they just all have to put put on the same account so if you share with your friends, make sure you don't sign in seperately to look at the pictures, they have to be put on the same account. :thumbsup2

My sister lost her battle with cancer this weekend. We were going to cancel out trip for July, but before she passed she told me that I better go to WDW. When we were young, WDW trips were forced down our throats. I absolutely loved it and still do, but my sister wasn't such a fan. She didn't quite get it. However, we still dragged her to Disneyland often (since we live in San Diego) ...she went for her son. Well...when Jack started making an appearance every fall/winter at Haunted Mansion it was an easy sell since she LOVES Nightmare Before Christmas.
Recently we were laughing and remembering all of the crazy things we did and of course my Disney obsession came up. She made me promise to keep taking my nephew (who is now 15 1/2) to carry on that tradition with him since she has so many wonderful memories of our trips. And she FINALLY admitted that secretly she loved that I forced her to embrace "The Magic" that Disney offered. <--If you knew my Sister, you would know that this was HUGE!
So we are going to take our trip and celebrate by remembering all of the memories we have as we ride the same rides, eat the ice cream, and play in the arcades..... And of course we are already planning on taking my nephew to see Jack and the gang at DL....
Thanks Disney for putting a smile on our faces and helping create such wonderful family experiences that we will cherish forever.

 So sorry for your loss. I'm glad you decided to keep your trip and celebrate her memory. Your nephew is lucky to have you to keep the tradition and the memory of your sister alive.

:rotfl:Your family does have a good assortment of colors & sizes huh?
I'm pretty boring looking as well...brown hair & eyes w/ glasses. My dh is black and avg height. Our daughters are 4.5 and 2 and very light skinned w/ very curly, dark brown hair. We're kinda easy to spot in a crowd too...plus I'm sure you'll be able to hear my kids from wherever you're sitting in the restaurant. Sorry about that in advance! If we figure out a way to post pics of everyone I'll put one up of us!

Yes, we do have a good assortment of colors and sizes. LOL My daughters don't look anything at all alike -- it's funny. DD14 looks like my DH (who was blond before he went bald), and DD10 looks like my sisters, who all have red hair. Neither of our girls look anything at all like me! If we figure out a way to post pics, I'll post one, too.

I am so so sorry hun... But it is such a beautiful story... Definitely do everything that she would want... and more!

Maybe you can get something in her memory, they used to have those awesome metal plates at Epcot....

:hug:I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family can enjoy your time in WDW still and remember all of the fun times you've had with your sister there. Albeit you were dragging her, she finally broke down and told you how much that time together meant to her! I hope your family is able to bring her son for many more years to come.

Wow! And I thought that it was hard just keeping our trip a secret from my kids! :worship: You are going to have one busy July!

I am so sorry for your loss. You sound like an incredible sister - keeping your sister's memory alive by taking her son to a place she really enjoyed. I am sure that he will appreciate your thoughtfulness and love. :)

Has anyone ever purchased trip insurance for your WDW trips? DH asked me about that at dinner last night...there has been SO much rain down here in the south so far this summer -- he's wondering about hurricanes, flooding, etc. (We've lived here for 9 years and have never seen this much rain so early in one summer...it's been kind of crazy).

How much does the insurance cost, and is it too late for me to buy it? I don't think we need it, but DH wants me to look into it.

There is a website called insuremytrip.com that can give you lots of helpful information. I've never bought trip insurance for Disney, since it doesn't cover the reasons I'd most likely cancel my trip (for example, if I decided I was crazy to spend this much money or something!). Depending on what you booked, Disney's refund policies are fairly generous, so I've not worried to much.

i have already requested north wing 5th or 6th floor thru my TA.... hoping to get a glimpse of the fireworks thru the trees....

i will post out dining AR as soon as i get my butt out of this chair and retrieve my spreadsheet:rotfl: this year we are doing it a little different... we are getting ADR's for a nice sit-down lunch everyday at 1:00 (to escape the heat, and we are not big breakfast eaters), going back for a quick swim/rest, then back to a park and we will grab something fast at night. hopefully this works for us. at other times of the year we ususally do ADR's for dinner. Again, who cares WE ARE IN DISNEY!!!

That was kinda our idea as well. We were not able to get ADRs everyday at lunch time. But, at least some of the days were did. Otherwise, if it just gets too hot, we can always take a break and head back before our dinner ADRs. It's our vacation and we can do whatever & whenever we want. :woohoo: But, we do have a 14 month old who may decide for us. LOL

 I'm so sorry. We just found out a couple of weeks ago that my dad has cancer.... Try to make the most of your trip.... What an awesome way to honor her memory!

Cosmicgirl, what time do you arrive? We arrive at 7:50 p.m., I think...I have never stayed at Coronado, have you?

Stacy

Hi Stacy!

Our flight from London is scheduled to arrive at 3:30pm, so I'm hoping we'll get there between 5 and 6pm.
Last year, a friend and myself had 2 nights booked at the Coronado, but due to flight delays, we didn't make it there until the next day, so we only had one night. However, the resort still amazed us in just about every possible way! The grounds are beautiful, I like the food and the CM's went out of their way to help us any way they could.

Long story: My friend's contacts got damaged somewhere between Amsterdam and Orlando, so he desperately needed new ones. We went to the front desk to ask where we would be able to buy contacts, so we could take a cab over there. Instead, a CM drove us to Walmart in Kissimmee and waited right there for us to get back! It took a long long time to get the contacts thanks to the very inefficient optician people, so after about half an hour we went outside and told the CM we would take a cab back to the hotel, so he could get back to his job. He did take us up on that offer, but only if we accepted that the cab fare would get refunded once we got back!

Needless to say, CSR stole my heart away . So excited to be staying there for 8 nights now!

I hope you'll love it too!

It is cancer, and he will have to have his one remaining kidney removed, and be on dialysis for the remainder of his life, which I hope gives him time to watch his grandkids grow up. He will have to be in the hospital for a week, and he told the dr. that he couldn't do it until after July 19th (when we get back). Daddy told me yesterday that the only way he was going to let his babies miss Disney World is for his funeral, and he's not planning on that happening anytime soon.

Also, we are in a time of great sorrow in my community. One of our recently graduated seniors was killed Saturday in a wreck returning from Sr. Beach week. He was a great kid, very active in lots of things with a bright future, I remember him when he was at the elementary school I teach at and he was a true joy even then. His mom is a friend, and I can't imagine her pain......
