Hi I have been reading the disboards for a little while now and decided to register after finding this post. My family will be at AKL 1/6/13-1/12/13. We booked thru Small World travel and are hoping to get a discount on the standard rack rate. This will be my first Disney trip as a mom (I'm a former passholder) and my son's very first Disney trip - he's turning 2 in December. I know I'm driving my husband CRAZY talking about it, so I'm looking forward to chatting with others who are just as excited to be going to Disney!

Was a little disappointed that the promotions announced this past weekend did not include any January dates which means we will probably have to wait until the end of October for January discounts to be announced. Not completely unexpected I guess.

Disney VISA just announced a Room Only discount for January!!

AoA is included at 15% discount..not much but I saved another $56 from the AAA rate.

Just booked Akv with chase discount at 35% off with tickets and dining. I'm debating upgrading to deluxe. Can't wait.

I tried booking at pofq but nothing was available. I was able to switch over to POR for only $300 more but decided in the end to just wait for the gp offer to come out and try for that first thing.

A lot of activity on the discount threads today and it sounds like new discount promos will be made public (for non-disney visa folks like me) on October 10th including free dining! Keeping my fingers crossed.

From what I saw, the current VISA offer is not free dining but a discount on a dining package. However, on another forum, the Travel Agents were saying that the package with dining was not that good of a deal and most were just doing room only.

Let us know how it works for you.

I'm just glad that AoA Family Suites were included ... albeit only 5% better than a AAA rate, but at least it's something.
