It was a goal/dream when my first was born to one day be able to give that to them. With all my kids have been through the past 6 years with deployments and hubby's injuries, they totally deserve this in every way.

Hear hear! Military families deserve rewards for all they go through. Here's hoping for a very magical vacation, whether it's January or March!

Wow -- so glad the trip is still on!!

Thank you. I swear I'm going to have to shoot the man. Last night he actually said, "well no free dining, no January trip." Of course it could be b/c I said that I was going to spend my actual birthday at the MK and he would have to ride "it's a small world" at least twice.

We moved our trip up a week, so now we are going at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. Guess that makes me a part of this group too!!

Our dates are Jan 26-28 at Universal and Jan 28-Feb. 7 at POFQ.




I noticed a post above saying that the EMH are out for Jan. Where can I find this??

Here is the information from the internal calendar:

Sunday - MK PM
Monday - AK AM and HS PM
Tuesday - EC AM
Wednesday - AK AM
Thursday - MK AM
Friday - EC PM
Saturday - HS AM

PM EMH is now two hours instead of three hours.

I agree your entire family deserves to have a very magical WDW trip.

Thank you! Our kids have no idea about this trip. Partly because it was supposed to be a surprise and partly because we are military and times/dates ALWAYS change. I certainly don't want my kids to be disappointed so to deter this we decided to keep it a "surprise" trip.

Thank you very much! Its definitely been a long road. My husband has missed countless birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, milestones and even a pregnancy and whole first year of life with our DD. He has suffered a few injuries and a few close call that were just too close. Thankfully, coming back to us each time. But, in all of this, it has only brought us closer. Every time he comes home, I thank God and fall in love all over again. Our kids are so resilient and adaptable, its unbelievable the strength they posses. This trip was planned to have some quality family time but mainly for them to just let loose and be carefree for a while. Our older boys have taken on so much. I had some heart problems while I was pregnant last summer. DH was deployed and my sweet boys really stepped up. I feel so blessed and proud to be their mother, I feel like this is the least we can do to say thank you to them.

Hi everyone,

such a busy month, celebrated my 45th birthday on the 8th and went to Virginia for a week to relax with my family , next time must remember to leave the family home!

Made all my ADR's today with no issues. There will be six of us definitely, perhaps a few more as time goes on.

I am glad that is done!

Does anyone know when they take the Christmas decorations down? I'm hoping they'll still be up when we get there.

It's usually within the first week to two weeks in January. It kind can depend on weather and timing of other special events. In 2011 they were all down on the 14th, the day we arrived. But my best friend who was there two days ahead of us, saw all the decorations up in MK.

ETA: That was a very cold year though, last year they came down very quickly. I *think* they were all down by the first weekend in 2012.

I finally got an ADR for Bistro de Paris for my January trip. That completes the list! Now I just have 170ish days to wait!
